A class of scaled Bessel sampling theorems
Sampling theorems for a class of scaled Bessel unitary transforms are presented. The derivations are based on the properties of the generalized Laguerre functions. This class of scaled Bessel unitary transforms includes the classical sine and cosine transforms, but also novel chirp sine and modified Hankel transforms. The results for the sine and cosine transform can also be utilized to yield a sampling theorem, different from Shannon's, for the Fourier transform
Z-Numbers-Based Approach to Hotel Service Quality Assessment
In this study, we are analyzing the possibility of using Z-numbers for
measuring the service quality and decision-making for quality improvement in the
hotel industry. Techniques used for these purposes are based on consumer evalu-
ations - expectations and perceptions. As a rule, these evaluations are expressed
in crisp numbers (Likert scale) or fuzzy estimates. However, descriptions of the
respondent opinions based on crisp or fuzzy numbers formalism not in all cases
are relevant. The existing methods do not take into account the degree of con-
fidence of respondents in their assessments. A fuzzy approach better describes
the uncertainties associated with human perceptions and expectations. Linguis-
tic values are more acceptable than crisp numbers. To consider the subjective
natures of both service quality estimates and confidence degree in them, the two-
component Z-numbers Z = (A, B) were used. Z-numbers express more adequately
the opinion of consumers. The proposed and computationally efficient approach
(Z-SERVQUAL, Z-IPA) allows to determine the quality of services and iden-
tify the factors that required improvement and the areas for further development.
The suggested method was applied to evaluate the service quality in small and
medium-sized hotels in Turkey and Azerbaijan, illustrated by the example

Training Manual on Theeranaipunya A Capacity Building Training Programme Equipping the Fisherwomen Youth for the Future
According to UNDP, it is said that investing in women capabilities and empowering
them to exercise their choice is not only valuable itself but also the surest way to
contribute to the economic growth and development.Given the poverty scenario,
a number of poverty eradication measures have been initiated by the
government for the welfare of the fisher community; due to lack of right skills the
poor are unable to utilize the available benefits.I am sure that the training
programme will help them to increase their capabilities and bring out the best in
them.
The Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute, Kochi (CMFRI) is a reputed ICAR
organization which deals with various issues pertaining to fisheries and fisher
folk. CMFRI has wide experience in conducting customized training programme to
the different stakeholder over the years in niche areas of fisheries research and
development. The Socio -Economic Evaluation and technology transfer (SEETT)
Division is essentially involved in research on socioeconomics which consists of both

Training Manual on Theeranaipunya II Skill Enhancement and Capacity Development of Fisher Youth
Women continue to remain the real architects of a developed society even
though many a times their services are unnoticed and under rewarded. The
fisherwomen in Kerala assume significance due to their involvement in fish
related activities leading to distribution, availability and value addition. The
traditional fisherwomen play an pivotal role in the fisheries sector in terms
of their involvement in fish related activities viz., fish vending, fish drying,
prawn peeling, sorting, grading, fish packing, and net making. With the
changing scenario and the increasing social welfare schemes from the
government to revive this sector, the youth of this community has started participating in the
socio economic activities of the society and therefore there is a need to reshape their own
perception of how they view themselves. The main objective of this training is to screen out
those barriers that stand in the way for their overall development. The training sessions will
provide insight to gain new skills that will improve their functional efficiency and will help
them to step up as women youth and take the lead to revive their community.
