Creating a Religious Properties Database for the City of New Bedford: an Analysis of Best Practices and Available Systems

This policy analysis was written to provide the city of New Bedford, the Waterfront Historic Area League, Inter-church Council of Greater New Bedford, and the congregations with possible database systems to consider in creating their historic religious properties database. It also provides the best methodology to use when choosing a database. Deciding on who will be involved in the choosing process, determining a budget, and listing the mandatory requirements the database should provide are all important to consider in the decision making process

FOCUS on technology‐supported learning in further education

This paper introduces FOCUS, a ‘one‐stop shop’ for technology‐supported learning resources designed and developed by a consortium of higher and further education partners. It reports on an investigation of the issues surrounding the adaptation of this HE‐orientated resource to an FE context. This involved piloting FOCUS with FE staff to assess its suitability. The issues raised by this process are discussed and general implications for the adaptation of generic HE resources to the FE sector are identified

UiTM Digital Library

Perpustakaan Tun Abdul Razak (PTAR) UiTM is committed to realize the aspirations of Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) to continuously achieve excellence and uplift UiTM to the global level. Thus, improving the quality of the information delivery system has become the focus of PTAR in fulfilling the needs and expectations of our customers. PTAR has gone through four (4) phases of transformation before becoming a Digital Library. To ensure the library continues to be relevant and competitive, the library improves its service to its customers through service, collections and latest processes that conforms to the needs of teaching, learning and research in UiTM. Multiple successes have been achieved, proving that PTAR is able to provide superior and quality service to meet current customer expectations. I hope that PTAR continues to foster smart partnerships towards developing a global brand to produce excellent and outstanding academics and graduates. This is in line with UiTM's theme of "Unleashing Potentials, Shaping the Future".
