    Distributed aspect-oriented service composition for business compliance governance with public service processes

    Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) offers a technical foundation for Enterprise Application Integration and business collaboration through service-based business components. With increasing process outsourcing and cloud computing, enterprises need process-level integration and collaboration (process-oriented) to quickly launch new business processes for new customers and products. However, business processes that cross organisations’ compliance regulation boundaries are still unaddressed. We introduce a distributed aspect-oriented service composition approach, which enables multiple process clients hot-plugging their business compliance models (business rules, fault handling policy, and execution monitor) to BPEL business processes

    An Approach to Transform Public Administration into SOA-based Organizations

    Nowadays, Service-Oriented Architectures (SOA) is widely spread in private organizations. However, when transferring this knowledge to Public Administration, it is realized that it has not been transformed in terms of its legal nature into organizations capable to operate under the SOA paradigm. This fact prevents public administration bodies from offering the efficient services they have been provided by different boards of governments. A high-level framework to perform this transformation is proposed. Taking it as starting point, an instance of a SOA Target Meta-Model can be obtained by means of an iterative and incremental process based on the analysis of imperatives and focused on the particular business context of each local public administration. This paper briefly presents a practical experience consisting in applying this process to a Spanish regional public administration.Junta de Andalucía TIC-578

    A Survey on Service Composition Middleware in Pervasive Environments

    The development of pervasive computing has put the light on a challenging problem: how to dynamically compose services in heterogeneous and highly changing environments? We propose a survey that defines the service composition as a sequence of four steps: the translation, the generation, the evaluation, and finally the execution. With this powerful and simple model we describe the major service composition middleware. Then, a classification of these service composition middleware according to pervasive requirements - interoperability, discoverability, adaptability, context awareness, QoS management, security, spontaneous management, and autonomous management - is given. The classification highlights what has been done and what remains to do to develop the service composition in pervasive environments

    Rule based ETL (RETL) approach for GEO spatial data warehouse

    This paper presents the use of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) for integrating multi source heterogeneous geospatial data in order to facilitate geospatial data warehouse. In this study, Real Based ETL (RETL) concept is adapted in order to extract, transform and load data from a variety of heterogeneous data sources. ETL will transform data to schematic format and loading data into the Geo spatial data warehouse.By using a rule-based technique, the distribution of parallel ETL pipeline will enhance and perform more efficient in large scale of data and overcome data bottleneck and performance overhead. This can ease the disaster management and enables planners to monitor disaster emergency response in an efficient manner
