Cognitive radio has claimed a promising technology to exploit the spectrum in an ad hoc network. Due many techniques have become a topic of discussion on cognitive radios, the aim of this paper was developed a contemporary survey of evolutionary algorithms in Cognitive Radio. According to the art state, this work had been collected the essential contributions of cognitive radios with the particularity of base they research in evolutionary algorithms. The main idea was classified the evolutionary algorithms and showed their fundamental approaches. Moreover, this research will be exposed some of the current issues in cognitive radios and how the evolutionary algorithms will have been contributed. Therefore, current technologies have matters presented in optimization, learning, and classification over cognitive radios where evolutionary algorithms can be presented big approaches. With a more comprehensive and systematic understanding of evolutionary algorithms in cognitive radios, more research in this direction may be motivated and refined

Distributed Artificial Intelligence Solution for D2D Communication in 5G Networks

Device to Device (D2D) Communication is one of the technology components of the evolving 5G architecture, as it promises improvements in energy efficiency, spectral efficiency, overall system capacity, and higher data rates. The above noted improvements in network performance spearheaded a vast amount of research in D2D, which have identified significant challenges that need to be addressed before realizing their full potential in emerging 5G Networks. Towards this end, this paper proposes the use of a distributed intelligent approach to control the generation of D2D networks. More precisely, the proposed approach uses Belief-Desire-Intention (BDI) intelligent agents with extended capabilities (BDIx) to manage each D2D node independently and autonomously, without the help of the Base Station. The paper includes detailed algorithmic description for the decision of transmission mode, which maximizes the data rate, minimizes the power consumptions, while taking into consideration the computational load. Simulations show the applicability of BDI agents in jointly solving D2D challenges.Comment: 10 pages,9 figure

Investigating Open Issues in Swarm Intelligence for Mitigating Security Threats in MANET

The area of Mobile Adhoc Network (MANET) has being a demanded topic of research for more than a decade because of its attractive communication features associated with various issues. This paper primarily discusses on the security issues, which has been still unsolved after abundant research work. The paper basically stresses on the potential features of Swarm Intelligence (SI) and its associated techniques to mitigate the security issues. Majority of the previous researches based on SI has used Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) or Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) extensively. Elaborated discussion on SI with respect to trust management, authentication, and attack models are made with support of some of the recent studies done in same area. The paper finally concludes by discussing the open issues and problem identification of the review
