Wireless network sensors based on the mobile sink are regarded to be a common network and used in various fields in the last few years, they are thought to be easy to use, but contain the problem of energy loss and are affected by an energy hole problem, as it depends on batteries. This paper proposes a solution to this problem by using an innovative objective function for a consistent distributing of cluster heads, the enhanced harmony search based routing protocols based on energy equilibrated node clustering protocol. In order to route the data packet among the sink and cluster heads, an enhanced modified deep echo state neural network is suggested. The efficiency of a projected integrated clustering and routing protocol has been investigated at 500 nodes, and the 96 per cent success data for the proposed algorithm is given using the average energy consumption, send and receive packaged and optimum numbers of CH

A Hybrid Modified Ant Colony Optimization - Particle Swarm Optimization Algorithm for Optimal Node Positioning and Routing in Wireless Sensor Networks
Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) have been widely deployed in hostile locations for environmental monitoring. Sensor placement and energy management are the two main factors that should be focused due to certain limitations in WSNs. The nodes in a sensor network might not stay charged when energy draining takes place; therefore, increasing the operational lifespan of the network is the primary purpose of energy management. Recently, major research interest in WSN has been focused with the essential aspect of localization. Several types of research have also taken place on the challenges of node localization of wireless sensor networks with the inclusion of range-free and range-based localization algorithms. In this work, the optimal positions of Sensor Nodes (SNs) are determined by proposing a novel Hybrid M-ACO â PSO (HMAP) algorithm. In the HMAP method, the improved PSO utilizes learning strategies for estimating the relay nodes\u27 optimal positions. The M-ACO assures the data conveyance. A route discovers when it relates to the ideal route irrespective of the possibility of a system that includes the nodes with various transmission ranges, and the network lifetime improves. The proposed strategy is executed based on the energy, throughput, delivery ratio, overhead, and delay of the information packets
Lifetime centric load balancing mechanism in wireless sensor network based IoT environment
Wireless sensor network (WSN) is a vital form of the underlying technology of the internet of things (IoT); WSN comprises several energy-constrained sensor nodes to monitor various physical parameters. Moreover, due to the energy constraint, load balancing plays a vital role considering the wireless sensor network as battery power. Although several clustering algorithms have been proposed for providing energy efficiency, there are chances of uneven load balancing and this causes the reduction in network lifetime as there exists inequality within the network. These scenarios occur due to the short lifetime of the cluster head. These cluster head (CH) are prime responsible for all the activity as it is also responsible for intra-cluster and inter-cluster communications. In this research work, a mechanism named lifetime centric load balancing mechanism (LCLBM) is developed that focuses on CH-selection, network design, and optimal CH distribution. Furthermore, under LCLBM, assistant cluster head (ACH) for balancing the load is developed. LCLBM is evaluated by considering the important metrics, such as energy consumption, communication overhead, number of failed nodes, and one-way delay. Further, evaluation is carried out by comparing with ES-Leach method, through the comparative analysis it is observed that the proposed model outperforms the existing model

Mobile wireless sensor networks have been developed as a result of recent advancements in wireless technologies. Sensors in the network are low-cost and have a short battery life, in addition to their mobility. They are more applicable in terms of the essential properties of these networks. These networks have a variety of uses, including search and rescue operations, health and environmental monitoring, and intelligent traffic management systems, among others. According to the application requirements, mobile wireless sensor nodes are energy limited equipment, so energy conservation is one of the most significant considerations in the design of these networks. Aside from the issues posed by sensor node mobility, we should also consider routing and dynamic clustering. According to studies, cluster models with configurable parameters have a substantial impact on reducing energy usage and extending the network's lifetime. As a result, the primary goal of this study is to describe and select a smart method for clustering in mobile wireless sensor networks utilizing evolutionary algorithms in order to extend the network's lifetime and ensure packet delivery accuracy. For grouping sensor nodes in this work, the Genetic Algorithm is applied initially, followed by Bacterial Conjugation. The simulation's results show a significant increase in clustering speed acceleration. The speed of the nodes is taken into account in the suggested approach for calibrating mobile wireless sensor nodes

Toward Energy-Oriented Optimization for Green Communication in Sensor Enabled IoT Environments
[EN] One of the major bottlenecks toward realizing IoT systems is the energy constraint of sensors. Prolonging network lifetime is a fundamental issue for implementing IoT systems. The energy optimization problem, being NP-hard in nature for scalable networks, has been addressed in the literature using traditional metaheuristic techniques. Quantum inspired metaheuristics have shown better performance than their traditional counterparts in solving such optimization problems in different domains. Toward this end, this article proposes a quantum inspired green communication framework for Energy Balancing in sensor enabled IoT systems (Q-EBIoT). First, an energy optimization model for sensor enabled IoT environments is presented, where energy consumption is derived as cost of the energy-oriented paths. Second, a quantum computing oriented solution is developed for the optimization problem focusing on energy centric solution representation, measurement, and rotation angle. The proposed solution is implemented to evaluate the comparative performance with the state-of-the-art techniques. The evaluation demonstrates the benefit of the proposed framework in terms of various energy-related metrics for sensor enabled IoT environments.Kumar, S.; Kaiwartya, O.; Rathee, M.; Kumar, N.; Lloret, J. Extending the Lifetime of Wireless Sensor Networks Based on an Improved Multi-objective Artificial Bees Colony Algorithm
Reducing the sensors\u27 energy expenditure to prolong the network lifespan as long as possible remains a fundamental problem in the field of wireless networks. Particularly in applications with inaccessible environments, which impose crucial constraints on sensor replacement. It is, therefore, necessary to design adaptive routing protocols, taking into account the environmental constraints and the limited energy of sensors. To have an energy-efficient routing protocol, a new cluster headsâ (CHs) selection strategy using a modified multi-objective artificial bees colony (MOABC) optimization is defined. The modified MOABC is based on the roulette wheel selection over non-dominated solutions of the repository (hyper-cubes) in which a rank is assigned to each hypercube based on its density in dominated solutions of the current iteration and then a random food source is elected by roulette from the densest hypercube. The proposed work aims to find the optimal set of CHs based on their residual energies to ensure an optimal balance between the nodes\u27 energy consumption. The achieved results proved that the proposed MOABC-based protocol considerably outperforms recent studies and well-known energy-efficient protocols, namely: LEACH, C-LEACH, SEP, TSEP, DEEC, DDEEC, and EDEEC in terms of energy efficiency, stability, and network lifespan extension
ARSH-FATI a Novel Metaheuristic for Cluster Head Selection in Wireless Sensor Networks
Wireless sensor network (WSN) consists of a large number of sensor nodes distributed over a certain target area. The WSN plays a vital role in surveillance, advanced healthcare, and commercialized industrial automation. Enhancing energy-efficiency of the WSN is a prime concern because higher energy consumption restricts the lifetime (LT) of the network. Clustering is a powerful technique widely adopted to increase LT of the network and reduce the transmission energy consumption. In this article (LT) we develop a novel ARSH-FATI-based Cluster Head Selection (ARSH-FATI-CHS) algorithm integrated with a heuristic called novel ranked-based clustering (NRC) to reduce the communication energy consumption of the sensor nodes while efficiently enhancing LT of the network. Unlike other population-based algorithms ARSH-FATI-CHS dynamically switches between exploration and exploitation of the search process during run-time to achieve higher performance trade-off and significantly increase LT of the network. ARSH-FATI-CHS considers the residual energy, communication distance parameters, and workload during cluster heads (CHs) selection. We simulate our proposed ARSH-FATI-CHS and generate various results to determine the performance of the WSN in terms of LT. We compare our results with state-of-the-art particle swarm optimization (PSO) and prove that ARSH-FATI-CHS approach improves the LT of the network by âź25%
