    The JPL designed MARKIII hypercube supercomputer has been in application service since June 1988 and has had successful application to a broad problem set including electromagnetic scattering, discrete event simulation, plasma transport, matrix algorithms, neural network simulation, image processing, and graphics. Currently, problems that are not homogeneous are being attempted, and, through this involvement with real world applications, the software is evolving to handle the heterogeneous class problems efficiently

    IR Design for Application-Specific Natural Language: A Case Study on Traffic Data

    In the realm of software applications in the transportation industry, Domain-Specific Languages (DSLs) have enjoyed widespread adoption due to their ease of use and various other benefits. With the ceaseless progress in computer performance and the rapid development of large-scale models, the possibility of programming using natural language in specified applications - referred to as Application-Specific Natural Language (ASNL) - has emerged. ASNL exhibits greater flexibility and freedom, which, in turn, leads to an increase in computational complexity for parsing and a decrease in processing performance. To tackle this issue, our paper advances a design for an intermediate representation (IR) that caters to ASNL and can uniformly process transportation data into graph data format, improving data processing performance. Experimental comparisons reveal that in standard data query operations, our proposed IR design can achieve a speed improvement of over forty times compared to direct usage of standard XML format data

    Performance analysis and optimization of automotive GPUs

Suitable highperformance platforms building upon Graphic Processing Units (GPUs) have been developed to respond to this demand, being NVIDIA Jetson TX2 a relevant representative. However, whether high-performance GPU configurations are appropriate for automotive setups remains as an open question. This paper aims at providing light on this question by modelling an automotive GPU (Jetson TX2), analyzing its microarchitectural parameters against relevant benchmarks, and identifying specific configurations able to meaningfully increase performance within similar cost envelopes, or to decrease costs preserving original performance levels.     Optimization and Abstraction: A Synergistic Approach for Analyzing Neural Network Robustness

    In recent years, the notion of local robustness (or robustness for short) has emerged as a desirable property of deep neural networks. Intuitively, robustness means that small perturbations to an input do not cause the network to perform misclassifications. In this paper, we present a novel algorithm for verifying robustness properties of neural networks. Our method synergistically combines gradient-based optimization methods for counterexample search with abstraction-based proof search to obtain a sound and ({\delta}-)complete decision procedure. Our method also employs a data-driven approach to learn a verification policy that guides abstract interpretation during proof search. We have implemented the proposed approach in a tool called Charon and experimentally evaluated it on hundreds of benchmarks.
