Take Note: An Investigation of the Impact of Human Computer Interaction on the Line Note Taking Process in Theatre
Most technology used in the theatre was not originally designed for use in a theatrical setting. A majority of technology that we see on the state has been adapted from another field -- be it music, lighting, or construction -- to fit the production\u27s specifics needs. The very nature of the theatre is that every performance is unique, which established one of the main challenges when creating technology to be used in the theatrical setting. This paper discusses the design, creation, and testing of a program to help stage managers take line notes during rehearsal for a theatrical production. We will begin with an outline of the problem as well as providing background information about theatre productions. We will then discuss related works followed by a discussion of the design of the system, testing and evaluation of the system, and the final results of the study
Game Portal in Cloud
This thesis describes the design and implementation of gaming portal in the cloud for one of the providers of Platform as a Service (PaaS). The main part of this work is the selection of appropriate technologies and their use in the design and implementation of gaming portal. The conclusion is written based on the results of testing load and scalability.
Ceiling and visibility instrumentation within government agencies
The key systems requirements for ceilometer systems are described. The following items are included: range must be 10,000 ft.; laser emission must conform to the bureau of radiological health class I performance; system must detect two lowest cloud layers; display must be in either English or metric units; and system must be capable of self monitoring and testing performance. Based upon the requirements competitive prototype cloud height indicator systems are to be built
Implementasi Cloud Storage Di Kantor Kecamatan Ngemplak Boyolali
Limititations of storage media space, the vulnerability of data to viruses and malware into problems thta complained almost every office employee Ngemplak Boyolali District, the separation of important data between PCs resulted in each employee require additional storage media in the form of flashdisk to exchange data. Therefore required a more centralized storage media and can store data temporarily, can be accessed from anywhere and anytime, has a feature that can minimize the use of flashdisk. Cloud storage is an alternative to additional data storage based on cloud computing technology. Methods used in this study include requirements analysis, implementation, and testing. The cloud storage designed with the use of Virtual Private Server (VPS) then using ownCloud as a cloud computing technology platform. Testing of the ownCloud service server is tested by through the process of speed of uploading data, downloading data, response time. The test is with the us of 3 PCs which accesses the ownCloud service servers simultaneously either through the web browser app, and desktop synchronization. From the test result obtained an average speed of uploading of 296 Kbps, download speed of 438 Kbps, synchronization 178 Kbps. In addition to the speed, obtained response time results 03.52 minutes of upload process, 02.21 minutes of download process, 04.53 minutes desktop synchronization process

Summertime evaluation of REFAME over the Unites States for near real-time high resolution precipitation estimation
Precipitation is the key input for hydrometeorological modeling and applications. In many regions of the world, including populated areas, ground-based measurement of precipitation (whether from radar or rain gauge) is either sparse in time and space or nonexistent. Therefore, high-resolution satellite-based precipitation products are recognized as critical data sources, especially for rapidly-evolving hydrometeorological events such as flash floods which primarily occur during summer/warm seasons. As " proof of concept" , a recently proposed algorithm called Rain Estimation using Forward Adjusted-advection of Microwave Estimates (REFAME) and its variation REFAMEgeo are evaluated over the contiguous United States during summers of 2009 and 2011. Both methods are originally designed for near real-time high resolution precipitation estimation from remotely sensed data. High-resolution Q2 (ground radar) precipitation data, in conjunction with two operational near real-time satellite-based precipitation products (PERSIANN, PERSIANN-CCS) are used as evaluation reference and for comparison. The study is performed at half-hour temporal resolution and at a range of spatial resolutions (0.08-, 0.25-, 0.5-, and 1-degree latitude/longitude). The statistical analyses suggest that REFAMEgeo performs favorably among the studied products in terms of capturing both spatial coverage and intensity of precipitation at near real-time with the temporal resolution offered by geostationary satellites. With respect to volume precipitation, REFAMEgeo together with REFAME demonstrates slight overestimation of intense precipitation and underestimation of light precipitation events. Compared to REFAME, It is observed that REFAMEgeo maintains stable performance, even when the amount of accessible microwave (MW) overpasses is limited. Based on the encouraging outcome of this study which was intended as " proof of concept" , further testing for other seasons and data-rich regions is the next logical step. Upon confirmation of the relative reliability of the algorithm, it is reasonable to recommend the use of its precipitation estimates for data-sparse regions of the world. © 2012 Elsevier B.V
Implementation of Software as a Service to Increase the Scalability of the Merdeka Belajar Policy in Indonesia
Merdeka Learning is one of the breakthroughs in education carried out by the Government of Indonesia. One form of activity from Merdeka Learning is student exchange. However, not all universities in Indonesia have implemented e-learning properly due to the high cost of developing and implementing this system. Software as a Service (SaaS) is a fork of Cloud Computing that can create configurable systems for use by multiple users, especially for multi-scheme SaaS. This research develops a multi-scheme SaaS-based e-learning system with an iterative method for nine months to increase the scalability of this e-learning. Trials using the black box testing method were conducted on 15 officers and 36 students from 10 tertiary institutions. Respondents were asked to use various features of the system. The results of interviews after the trial stated that the system could assist in dealing with the online learning process at their universities. From this study, it can be concluded that multi-tenancy can be used in the development of e-learning to support the independent campus program on a website basis
Laminar-flow flight experiments
The flight testing conducted over the past 10 years in the NASA laminar-flow control (LFC) will be reviewed. The LFC program was directed towards the most challenging technology application, the high supersonic speed transport. To place these recent experiences in perspective, earlier important flight tests will first be reviewed to recall the lessons learned at that time
