Керівник дипломної роботи: доцент кафедри авіоніки, Положевець Ганна АндріївнаFlight safety is the most important operational and technical characteristic of the aviation system, which largely determines the combat readiness and combat effectiveness of the aviation of the Armed Forces. The problem of ensuring flight safety is one of the most pressing, most complex and least studied problems of modern aviation. The urgency of the problem is determined by the fact that people die as a result of accidents and disasters, significant material and moral damage to the state is inflicted, combat training plans are violated, the commissioning of new aviation equipment is delayed, and damage is caused to the combat readiness and combat effectiveness of aviation units.

This theme issue is to celebrate Professor Robert Verpoorte’s 75th birthday. Prof. Verpoorte has been working in Leiden University over 40 years. There is no need to dwell upon the contributions of Dr. Verpoorte to plant-derived natural products research during his whole life. Dr. Verpoorte was a highly productive scientist throughout his academic career, with over 800 scientific publications in the form of research papers, books, and book chapters. His research interests are very diverse, cover- ing numerous topics related to plant-based natural products such as plant cell biotech- nology, biosynthesis, metabolomics, genetic engineering, and green technology, as well as the isolation of new biologically active compounds. He has left indelible footprints in all these fields, and he is widely recognised as a pioneer in the work of the biosynthesis of indole alkaloids, NMR-based metabolomics, and green technology in natural products production. As close friends and colleagues who have been in nearly daily contact with him over the last 20 years viewing all of these remarkable scientific contributions, we felt compelled to recognize this by the publication of a Special Issue of this journal dedicated to him. Thus, this Special Issue has now finally been released with the help of many of his colleagues and former students as a token of our gratitude to his impressive work. The Special Issue covers five main natural products topics: (1) chemical profiling and metabolomics, (2) separation/isolation and identification of plant specialized metabolites, (3) pharmacognosy of natural products to identify bioactive molecules from natural prod- ucts, (4) novel formulation of natural products, and (5) overview of natural products as a source of bioactive molecules

In this thesis we tackle the specification and development of the timing system for the European Spallation Source (ESS), the largest neutron source currently in construction. We approach this work at two levels: the specification of the timing system and the physical implementation of control systems using reconfigurable hardware. Regarding the specification of the timing system, we designed and imple mented the configuration of the timing protocol to fulfil the requirements of ESS and devised an operation mode andan application for the configuration and control of the timing system. We also present one too! and one methodology to implement control systems using FPGAs, such as the nodes of the timing system. Both are based on statecharts, a graphical representation of systems that expand the concepts of Finite State Machines, targeted at systems that need to be re configured quickly in multiple locations minimizing the chance of errors. The too! automatically creates synthesizable VHDL code from a statechart of the system. The methodology explains the procedure to implement the statechart as a microprogrammed architecture in FPGAs

(S)-Pramipexole and Its Enantiomer, Dexpramipexole : a New Chemoenzymatic Synthesis and Crystallographic Investigation of Key Enantiomeric Intermediates

A new chemoenzymatic method has been developed for the synthesis of (S)- and (R)-N-(6-hydroxy-4,5,6,7-tetrahydrobenzo[d]thiazol-2-yl) acetamide, two key synthons for the preparation of (S)-pramipexole, an anti-Parkinson drug, and its enantiomer dexpramipexole, which is currently under investigation for the treatment of eosinophil-associated disorders. These two building blocks have been obtained in good yields and high enantiomeric excess (30% and >98% ee for the R-enantiomer, and 31% and >99% ee for the S- one) through a careful optimization of the reaction conditions, starting from the corresponding racemic mixture and using two consecutive irreversible transesterifications, catalyzed by Candida antarctica lipase type A. Single crystal X-ray analysis has been carried out to unambiguously define the stereochemistry of the two enantiomers, and to explore in depth their three-dimensional features

Hardware Implementation of Statecharts for FPGA-based Control in Scientific Facilities

Date of Conference: 20-22 Nov. 2019; Conference Location: Bilbao, Spain[Abstract] The problem of generating complex synchronization patterns using automated tools is addressed in this paper. This work was originally motivated by the need of fast and jitter free synchronization in scientific facilities, where a large number of sensors and actuators must be controlled at the right time in a variety of situations. Programmable processors cannot meet the real-time requirements, forcing to use dedicated circuits to produce and transmit the control signals. Designing application specific hardware by hand is a slow and error-prone task. Hence, a set of tools is required that allow specifying the control systems in a clear and efficient way and producing synthesizable HDL (hardware description language) code in an automated manner. Statechart diagrams have been selected as the input method, and this work focuses on how to translate those diagrams into HDL code. We present a tool that analyzes a Statecharts specification and implements the required control systems using FPGAs. A number of solutions are provided to deal with multiple triggering events and concurrent super-states. Also, an alternative microprogrammed implementation is proposed. This work was funded in part by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness of Spain, Project TIN2016-75845-P (AEI/FEDER, UE), Xunta de Galicia and FEDER funds of the EU under the Consolidation Program of Competitive Reference Groups (ED431C 2017/04), and under the Centro Singular de Investigaci ´on de Galicia accreditation 2016-2019 (ED431G/01)Xunta de Galicia; ED431C 2017/04Xunta de Galicia; ED431G/0
