Online banking customization via tag-based interaction

In this paper, we describe ongoing work on online banking customization with a particular focus on interaction. The scope of the study is confined to the Australian banking context where the lack of customization is evident. This paper puts forward the notion of using tags to facilitate personalized interactions in online banking. We argue that tags can afford simple and intuitive interactions unique to every individual in both online and mobile environments. Firstly, through a review of related literature, we frame our work in the customization domain. Secondly, we define a range of taggable resources in online banking. Thirdly, we describe our preliminary prototype implementation with respect to interaction customization types. Lastly, we conclude with a discussion on future work

Mobile banking customization via user-defined tags

In this paper, we describe on-going work on mobile banking customization, particularly in the Australian context. The use of user-defined tags to facilitate personalized interactions in the mobile context is explored. The aim of this research is to find ways to improve mobile banking interaction. Customization is more significant in the mobile context than online due to factors such as smaller screen sizes and limited software and hardware capabilities, placing an increased emphasis on usability. This paper explains how user-defined tags can aid different types of customization at the interaction level. A preliminary prototype has been developed to demonstrate the mechanics of the proposed approach. Potential implications, design decisions and limitations are discussed with an outline of future work

Service-based Integration of IT-Innovations in Customer-Bank-Interaction

Numerous information technology (IT)-based innovations from automated teller machines to electronic banking have already changed the customer-bank-interaction. Banks learned that these innovations require close integration with the existing channels, processes and systems in the front as well as in the backend. In view of a still dynamic pace of technological evolution, this research provides an overview of existing innovations in banking which have more recently spread especially in Germany and Switzerland. Based on these examples a framework is developed for vertically and horizontally integrating these innovations in existing architectures in banking

Improving Contact Center Demonstrations at Cisco Systems

This project involved the design, construction, and implementation of a system to improve Cisco\u27s Contact Center demonstrations to potential customers. The system aimed to provide customized demonstration resources by industry vertical and geographic sales theater and streamline the demonstration creation process by Cisco sales representatives. By collaborating with Cisco sales representatives directly, the final deliverable is a set of demo resources that is likely to be used and ultimately increase Cisco\u27s Contact Center sales

Implementing Radio Frequency Identification within the Perioperative Process: A Case Study Perspective

As a technology solution, radio frequency identification (RFID) has proven increased efficiency and accuracy within traditional production and inventory control environments. RFID also offers increased transparency, accountability, and quality across the healthcare industry. This paper provides an a priori perspective to implementing RFID applications in a hospital environment. The paper describes, examines, and discusses the opportunities and challenges that RFID poses across an individual hospital’s perioperative and auxiliary services. Based on an 87-month longitudinal study of a large 909 registered-bed teaching hospital, this paper investigates the complexity of technological change dynamics, integrated information systems, as well as the benefits and learning curves associated with implementing RFID technology in a hospital’s perioperative processes.
