    Characterizations of bivariate conic, extreme value, and Archimax copulas

    Based on a general construction method by means of bivariate ultramodular copulas we construct, for particular settings, special bivariate conic, extreme value, and Archimax copulas. We also show that the sets of copulas obtained in this way are dense in the sets of all conic, extreme value, and Archimax copulas, respectively

    About [q]-regularity properties of collections of sets

    We examine three primal space local Hoelder type regularity properties of finite collections of sets, namely, [q]-semiregularity, [q]-subregularity, and uniform [q]-regularity as well as their quantitative characterizations. Equivalent metric characterizations of the three mentioned regularity properties as well as a sufficient condition of [q]-subregularity in terms of Frechet normals are established.     On the first place antitonicity in QL-implications

    To obtain a demanded fuzzy implication in fuzzy systems, a number of desired properties have been proposed, among which the first place antitonicity, the second place isotonicity and the boundary conditions are the most important ones. The three classes of fuzzy implications derived from the implication in binary logic, S-, R- and QL-implications all satisfy the second place isotonicity and the boundary conditions. However, not all the QL-implications satisfy the first place antitonicity as S- and R-implications do. In this paper we study the QL-implications satisfying the first place antitonicity. First we establish the relationship between the first place antitonicity and other required properties of QL-implications. Second we work on the conditions under which a QL-implication generated by different combinations of a t-conorm S, a t-norm T and a strong fuzzy negation N satisfy the first place antitonicity, especially in the cases that both S and T are continuous. We further investigate the interrelationships between S- and R-implications generated by left-continuous t-norms on one hand and QL-implications satisfying the first place antitonicity on the other

    Lattice operations on fuzzy implications and the preservation of the exchange principle

    In this work, we solve an open problem related to the preservation of the exchange principle (EP) of fuzzy implications under lattice operations ([3], Problem 3.1.). We show that generalizations of the commutativity of antecedents (CA) to a pair of fuzzy implications (I,J)(I,J), viz., the generalized exchange principle and the mutual exchangeability are sufficient conditions for the solution of the problem. Further, we determine conditions under which these become necessary too. Finally, we investigate the pairs of fuzzy implications from different families such that (EP) is preserved by the join and meet operations

    In fairly elementary terms this paper presents how the theory of preordered fuzzy sets, more precisely quantale-valued preorders on quantale-valued fuzzy sets, is established under the guidance of enriched category theory.     It is shown that admissible clauses and quasi-identities of quasivarieties generated by a single finite algebra, or equivalently, the quasiequational and universal theories of their free algebras on countably infinitely many generators, may be characterized using natural dualities.     Some characterizations of T-power based implications

    Recently, the so-called family of T-power based implications was introduced. These operators involve the use of Zadeh’s quantifiers based on powers of t-norms in its definition. Due to the fact that Zadeh’s quantifiers constitute the usual method to modify fuzzy propositions, this family of fuzzy implication functions satisfies an important property in approximate reasoning such as the invariance of the truth value of the fuzzy conditional when both the antecedent and the consequent are modified using the same quantifier. In this paper, an in-depth analysis of this property is performed by characterizing all binary functions satisfying it. From this general result, a fully characterization of the family of T-power based implications is presented.
