A Synthesis Method for Quaternary Quantum Logic Circuits

Synthesis of quaternary quantum circuits involves basic quaternary gates and logic operations in the quaternary quantum domain. In this paper, we propose new projection operations and quaternary logic gates for synthesizing quaternary logic functions. We also demonstrate the realization of the proposed gates using basic quantum quaternary operations. We then employ our synthesis method to design of quaternary adder and some benchmark circuits. Our results in terms of circuit cost, are better than the existing works.Comment: 10 page

Fredkin Gates for Finite-valued Reversible and Conservative Logics

The basic principles and results of Conservative Logic introduced by Fredkin and Toffoli on the basis of a seminal paper of Landauer are extended to d-valued logics, with a special attention to three-valued logics. Different approaches to d-valued logics are examined in order to determine some possible universal sets of logic primitives. In particular, we consider the typical connectives of Lukasiewicz and Godel logics, as well as Chang's MV-algebras. Combinational multiple-valued circuit design by generalised disjunctive decomposition

A design of multiple-valued circuits based on the multiple-valued programmable logic arrays (MV PLA’s) by generalized disjunctive decomposition is presented. Modular decomposition of the NOR-TSUM multiple-valued PLA

A method for designing PLA-based combinational circuits by modular decomposition is presented. Main subjects are 1) Specific properties of TSUM operator, 2) MIN-TSUM and NOR-TSUM expansions with respect to the bound set, X1 of variables, 3) Realization of functions by multiple-valued PLA-based combinational circuits, 4) Comparison with other methods. Experimental investigations show that the size of suggested combinational circuit is the same as the size of multiple-valued PLA implementing a multiple-valued logic function with large number of variables
