Incident Management Process Rationalization for the IBM Mainframe at the IT Company
Import 04/11/2015Abstrakt
Teoretická časť slúži k vysvetleniu základných pojmov z oblasti ITIL-u a IBM Mainframe. Abstract
The aim of the diploma work was the rationalization process of incident management on IBM Mainframe at IT company. This work gradually deals with various elements and explains the basic concepts of the mainframe and the creation of incidents on those systems.
The theoretical section is to explain the basic concepts of ITIL-in and IBM Mainframe. Follow the practical part of the diploma work firstly analyzes the current situation of creating incidents on the IBM mainframe system, analysis of incidents in which it is possible to optimize and subsequent optimization of the selected incident. In the of the diploma work is a statistical statement optimization and economic benefits for the company.155 - Katedra aplikované informatikyvelmi dobř
Avionics test bed development plan
A development plan for a proposed avionics test bed facility for the early investigation and evaluation of new concepts for the control of large space structures, orbiter attached flex body experiments, and orbiter enhancements is presented. A distributed data processing facility that utilizes the current laboratory resources for the test bed development is outlined. Future studies required for implementation, the management system for project control, and the baseline system configuration are defined. A background analysis of the specific hardware system for the preliminary baseline avionics test bed system is included
High Availability and Scalability of Mainframe Environments using System z and z/OS as example
Mainframe computers are the backbone of industrial and commercial computing, hosting the most relevant and critical data of businesses. One of the most important mainframe environments is IBM System z with the operating system z/OS. This book introduces mainframe technology of System z and z/OS with respect to high availability and scalability. It highlights their presence on different levels within the hardware and software stack to satisfy the needs for large IT organizations

System z and z/OS unique Characteristics
Many people still associate mainframes with obsolete technology. Surprisingly, the opposite is true. Mainframes feature many hardware, software, and system integration technologies, that are either not at all, or only in an elementary form, available on other server platforms. On the other hand, we know of no advanced server features which are not available on mainframes. This paper lists some 40 advanced mainframe technologies. There is a short description of each item together with a literature reference for more information
