Multiple Attributes Decision Fusion for Wireless Sensor Networks Based on Intuitionistic Fuzzy Set
Decision fusion is an important issue in wireless sensor networks (WSN), and intuitionistic fuzzy set (IFS) is a novel method for dealing with uncertain data. We propose a multi-attribute decision fusion model based on IFS, which includes two aspects: data distribution-based IFS construction algorithm (DDBIFCA) and the category similarity weight-based TOPSIS intuitionistic fuzzy decision algorithm (CSWBT-IFS). The DDBIFCA is an IFS construction algorithm that transforms the original attribute values into intuitionistic fuzzy measures, and the CSWBT-IFS is an intuitionistic fuzzy aggregation algorithm improved by the traditional TOPSIS algorithm, which combines intuitionistic fuzzy values of different attributes and obtains a final decision for the monitoring target. Both algorithms have benefits, such as low energy consumption and low computational complexity, which make them suitable for implementation in energy-constrained WSNs. Simulation results show the efficiency of intuitionistic fuzzification for the DDBIFCA and a high classification accuracy, compared with traditional fuzzy fusion and other intuitionistic fuzzy aggregation algorithms, for the CSWBT-IFS
A Hypervolume Based Approach to Rank Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets and Its Extension to Multi-criteria Decision Making Under Uncertainty
Ranking intuitionistic fuzzy sets with distance based ranking methods
requires to calculate the distance between intuitionistic fuzzy set and a
reference point which is known to have either maximum (positive ideal solution)
or minimum (negative ideal solution) value. These group of approaches assume
that as the distance of an intuitionistic fuzzy set to the reference point is
decreases, the similarity of intuitionistic fuzzy set with that point
increases. This is a misconception because an intuitionistic fuzzy set which
has the shortest distance to positive ideal solution does not have to be the
furthest from negative ideal solution for all circumstances when the distance
function is nonlinear. This paper gives a mathematical proof of why this
assumption is not valid for any of the non-linear distance functions and
suggests a hypervolume based ranking approach as an alternative to distance
based ranking. In addition, the suggested ranking approach is extended as a new
multicriteria decision making method, HyperVolume based ASsessment (HVAS). HVAS
is applied for multicriteria assessment of Turkey's energy alternatives.
Results are compared with three well known distance based multicriteria
decision making methods (TOPSIS, VIKOR, and CODAS).Comment: 8 pages, 3 figure
A supplier selection using a hybrid grey based hierarchical clustering and artificial bee colony
Selection of one or a combination of the most suitable potential providers and outsourcing problem is the most important strategies in logistics and supply chain management. In this paper, selection of an optimal combination of suppliers in inventory and supply chain management are studied and analyzed via multiple attribute decision making approach, data mining and evolutionary optimization algorithms. For supplier selection in supply chain, hierarchical clustering according to the studied indexes first clusters suppliers. Then, according to its cluster, each supplier is evaluated through Grey Relational Analysis. Then the combination of suppliers’ Pareto optimal rank and costs are obtained using Artificial Bee Colony meta-heuristic algorithm. A case study is conducted for a better description of a new algorithm to select a multiple source of suppliers
Life cycle sustainability assessment for multi-criteria decision making in bridge design: A review
Sustainable design of infrastructures has become a major matter of study since the recent establishment of the Agenda 2030. This paper provides a systematic literature review on the use of multi-criteria decision making techniques used so far for the sustainable design of bridges. Special attention is put as well on how the reviewed studies assess the sustainable performance of bridge designs along their life cycle from the economic, the environmental and the social perspective. Although SAW and AHP are recurrently used in the sustainable assessment of bridges, the analysis of the most recent articles show that the application of TOPSIS and PROMETHEE techniques are gaining increasing relevance for such purpose. Most of the studies focus on the research of the construction and the maintenance stage of bridges. However, a need for further analysis is identified when it comes to the assessment of the impacts resulting from the End of Life cycle stage of bridges from a sustainable point of view. The use of intuitionistic and neutrosophic logic have been detected as emerging alternatives to the fuzzy approach of decision making problems
