Modified EDAS Method Based on Cumulative Prospect Theory for Multiple Attributes Group Decision Making with Interval-valued Intuitionistic Fuzzy Information
The Interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IVIFSs) based on the
intuitionistic fuzzy sets combines the classical decision method is in its
research and application is attracting attention. After comparative analysis,
there are multiple classical methods with IVIFSs information have been applied
into many practical issues. In this paper, we extended the classical EDAS
method based on cumulative prospect theory (CPT) considering the decision
makers (DMs) psychological factor under IVIFSs. Taking the fuzzy and uncertain
character of the IVIFSs and the psychological preference into consideration,
the original EDAS method based on the CPT under IVIFSs (IVIF-CPT-MABAC) method
is built for MAGDM issues. Meanwhile, information entropy method is used to
evaluate the attribute weight. Finally, a numerical example for project
selection of green technology venture capital has been given and some
comparisons is used to illustrate advantages of IVIF-CPT-MABAC method and some
comparison analysis and sensitivity analysis are applied to prove this new
methods effectiveness and stability.Comment: 48 page
An overview of fuzzy multi-criteria decisionmaking methods in hospitality and tourism industries: bibliometrics, methodologies, applications and future directions
Stakeholders in hospitality and tourism industries are involved in
many decision-making scenarios. Multi-criteria decision-making
(MCDM) methods have been widely used in hospitality and tourism
industries. Although some articles summarised the applications of
MCDM models in hospitality and tourism industries, they ignored the
fuzziness of individual cognition in an uncertain environment. In addition,
these surveys lacked a comprehensive overview from the perspective
of bibliometrics analysis and content analysis regarding the
whole hospitality and tourism industries. To analyse the applications
of fuzzy MCDM methods in hospitality and tourism industries and
further explore future research directions, this article reviews 85
selected papers published from 1997 to 2022 regarding fuzzy MCDM
models applied in hospitality and tourism industries. Through analysing
the results of bibliometric analysis, methodologies and applications,
we found that analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and TOPSIS
methods are the most widely used MCDM methods, and tourism
evaluation, hotel evaluation and selection, tourism destination evaluation
and selection are the most attractive research issues in hospitality
and tourism industries. Finally, future research directions are
proposed from three aspects. This article provides insights for
researchers and practitioners who have interest in fuzzy MCDM models
in hospitality and tourism industries
Optimization for Decision Making II
In the current context of the electronic governance of society, both administrations and citizens are demanding the greater participation of all the actors involved in the decision-making process relative to the governance of society. This book presents collective works published in the recent Special Issue (SI) entitled “Optimization for Decision Making II”. These works give an appropriate response to the new challenges raised, the decision-making process can be done by applying different methods and tools, as well as using different objectives. In real-life problems, the formulation of decision-making problems and the application of optimization techniques to support decisions are particularly complex and a wide range of optimization techniques and methodologies are used to minimize risks, improve quality in making decisions or, in general, to solve problems. In addition, a sensitivity or robustness analysis should be done to validate/analyze the influence of uncertainty regarding decision-making. This book brings together a collection of inter-/multi-disciplinary works applied to the optimization of decision making in a coherent manner
An Analytic Hierarchy Process Based Approach for Evaluating Renewable Energy Sources
Decision-making in energy planning can be approached as a problem of multicriteria decision analysis in which different types of factors are involved. This task must take into account several aspects due to the increasing complexity of social, technological and economic factors. In this context, this paper uses the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) to prioritize a set of criteria, subcriteria and alternatives as a support for decision-making in the process of energy planning with renewable energies for rural areas in the Caribbean region of Colombia. Based on the participation of experts, 5 criteria, 20 subcriteria and 4 alternatives were defined. Using the AHP, the same group of experts was consulted in order to prioritize all aspects. The results showed that the most relevant criteria were the technical with 24.7%. Next were environmental (21.7%), social (19.6%), economic (17.8%) and risk (16.3%). The best renewable energy alternative was solar with 45.3%
Investigation on soft computing techniques for airport environment evaluation systems
Spatial and temporal information exist widely in engineering fields, especially
in airport environmental management systems. Airport environment is influenced
by many different factors and uncertainty is a significant part of the
system. Decision support considering this kind of spatial and temporal information
and uncertainty is crucial for airport environment related engineering
planning and operation. Geographical information systems and computer aided
design are two powerful tools in supporting spatial and temporal information
systems. However, the present geographical information systems and computer
aided design software are still too general in considering the special features in
airport environment, especially for uncertainty. In this thesis, a series of parameters
and methods for neural network-based knowledge discovery and training
improvement are put forward, such as the relative strength of effect, dynamic

Consideration of Uncertainty and Multiple Disciplines in the Determination of Sustainable Criteria for Rural Roads Using Neutrosophic Logic
[EN] In Latin America, there is a wide gap between kilometers of paved ways and those with no type of protection. This situation is worse in rural areas, limiting development opportunities and inhabitants' quality of life. In Chile, there are state programs that seek to reduce the territorial gap through basic low-cost paving solutions; however, the prioritization criteria for rural roads are unclear. Multiple actors affect the rural territories, and the non-existence of reference patterns increases subjectivity in infrastructure decision making. This study attempts to determine criteria that influence the selection of rural roads in southern Chile to promote sustainable territorial development considering multiple actors and the uncertainty of the selection process. For this, a documentary review, field visits, and 12 semi-structured interviews were conducted. The criteria are validated through a multidisciplinary panel of experts and the application of neutrosophic numbers to address the uncertainty derived from the expert consultations. Symmetric and Asymmetric Data in Solution Models
This book is a Printed Edition of the Special Issue that covers research on symmetric and asymmetric data that occur in real-life problems. We invited authors to submit their theoretical or experimental research to present engineering and economic problem solution models that deal with symmetry or asymmetry of different data types. The Special Issue gained interest in the research community and received many submissions. After rigorous scientific evaluation by editors and reviewers, seventeen papers were accepted and published. The authors proposed different solution models, mainly covering uncertain data in multicriteria decision-making (MCDM) problems as complex tools to balance the symmetry between goals, risks, and constraints to cope with the complicated problems in engineering or management.
