Investigating Simultaneous Wireless Connections for a Quiz Management System-A Case Study
Near Field Communication is a set of communication protocols for communication between two electronic devices over a distance of 4cm or less and Bluetooth is a wireless technology standard used for exchanging data between fixed and mobile devices over short distances using UHF radio waves in the industrial, scientific and medical radio bands, from 2.402 GHz to 2.480GHz, and building personal area networks (PANs). Both these protocols facilitate wireless/ internet less communication between devices that have the capabilities. The paper titled 201C;Establishing Simultaneous Server-Side Connections for NFC/Bluetooth enabled Quiz Management Systems201D; further expanded the concept and usage of these protocols via the examination of modifications made to a Quiz Management System. It highlighted the QMS which was further developed to address a key limitation that was observed in the prior system
An Approach to Establishing Simultaneous Server-Side Connections for NFC/Bluetooth enabled Quiz Management Systems

This paper seeks to further expand the concept and usage of these protocols via the examination of modifications made to a Quiz Management System. The Quiz Management System, which is a solution to further advance the notion of a smart classroom setup within the context of short-range wireless technologies has already seen iterations developed on both the NFC and Bluetooth side of things
The Blue Button Project: Engaging Patients in Healthcare by a Click of a Button
The Blue Button project has become a way for many Americans to download their health records by just a click in any way that suits them, such as in print, on a thumb drive, or on their mobile devices and smartphones. Several organizations have developed and applied Blue Buttons on their websites to allow beneficiaries to securely access and view personal medical information and claims. The purpose of this literature review is to highlight the significance of the Blue Button project in the field of health information management. Findings suggest that the project could empower and engage consumers and patients in a healthcare system by allowing access to medical records, thereby promoting better management and overall improvement of their healthcare. To date, the project has gained wide support from insurers, technology companies, and health providers despite the challenges of standardization and interoperability
Impact of Mobile and Wireless Technology on Healthcare Delivery services
Modern healthcare delivery services embrace the use of leading edge technologies and new
scientific discoveries to enable better cures for diseases and better means to enable early
detection of most life-threatening diseases. The healthcare industry is finding itself in a
state of turbulence and flux. The major innovations lie with the use of information
technologies and particularly, the adoption of mobile and wireless applications in
healthcare delivery [1]. Wireless devices are becoming increasingly popular across the
healthcare field, enabling caregivers to review patient records and test results, enter
diagnosis information during patient visits and consult drug formularies, all without the
need for a wired network connection [2]. A pioneering medical-grade, wireless
infrastructure supports complete mobility throughout the full continuum of healthcare
delivery. It facilitates the accurate collection and the immediate dissemination of patient
information to physicians and other healthcare care professionals at the time of clinical
decision-making, thereby ensuring timely, safe, and effective patient care. This paper
investigates the wireless technologies that can be used for medical applications, and the
effectiveness of such wireless solutions in a healthcare environment. It discusses challenges
encountered; and concludes by providing recommendations on policies and standards for
the use of such technologies within hospitals
Innovation in Mobile Learning: A European Perspective
In the evolving landscape of mobile learning, European researchers have conducted significant mobile learning projects, representing a distinct perspective on mobile learning research and development. Our paper aims to explore how these projects have arisen, showing the driving forces of European innovation in mobile learning. We propose context as a central construct in mobile learning and examine theories of learning for the mobile world, based on physical, technological, conceptual, social and temporal mobility. We also examine the impacts of mobile learning research on educational practices and the implications for policy. Throughout, we identify lessons learnt from European experiences to date
