Transaction Management Model for Mobile Database

Transaction support is crucial in mobile data management. Specific characteristics of mobile environments (e.g. variable bandwidth, disconnections, and limited resources on mobile hosts) make traditional transaction management techniques no longer appropriate. This is due the fact that the Atomicity, Consistency, Isolation and Durability (ACID) properties of transactions are not simply followed, in particular the consistency property. Thus, transaction management models adopting weaker form of consistency are needed and these models can now tolerate a limited amount of consistency. As a result, several transaction management models for mobile databases have been proposed, each of which has attempted to overcome some issues pertaining to transaction processing in mobile environment. However, issues such as (a) only one mobile host (MH) is allowed to update the data item (b) large number of rejected transactions (c) commit time execution of transactions at mobile host (MH) is large are not well handled. The proposed the model with the aims at solving the stated issues. The main idea underlying the model is that transaction execution can be done at the base station (BS) and mobile host (MHs). Transactions at a MH can update data locally and then precommit. When the MH connects to the BS, these pre-committed transactions are sent to the BS and re-executed as base transactions (BT) to maintain data consistency at the BS. BTs are serialized on the master data stored at the BS. This will results in data consistency. The availability of data item at MHs makes the execution of transaction at MHs possible. Each MH is allocated some value of data item, and the rest of it is kept at the base server. By having the own this resource, a transaction at a MH is allowed to update the data item within the limit of iSi. The model has been implemented and the result has shown that the model works correctly as expected

Web-based management information system of transaction data with mobile features was needed by employees of PT. Yasiga Sarana Utama, especially mine division. The problems that frequently occur are some documents are created with the manual method, data storage is conducted using Microsoft Excel and duplication. Damage and loss of data have been solved with Web-based management information system of transaction data. In addition, the field employees who have activities outside of the Office get ease in storing and archiving the data using a mobile application integrated with transaction data management information systems. Management information system of transaction data was built using the waterfall method which consisted of the analysis, design, coding or implementing, and testing. In the early stages of development, the company business processes were studied through literatures, and then the company requirements were analyzed using use case diagrams, class diagrams, sequence diagrams, state chart diagrams, and user interface design. The next phase was the design of the system by designing a database using the ERdiagrams. Programming code on the implementation phase was conducted using PHP PDO with object-oriented programming, Bootstrap PostgreSQL database as an additional aesthetic applications, and PhoneGap to generate mobile applications. Application testing was conducted using black box testing. The results of the implementation showed the expected output and in accordance with existing business processes

National audienceIn recent years data management in mobile environments has generated a great interest. Several proposals concerning mobile transactions have been done. However, it is very difficult to have an overview of all these approaches. In this paper we analyze and compare several contributions on mobile transactions and introduce our ongoing research: the design and implementation of a Mobile Transaction Service. The focus of our study is on execution models, the manner ACID properties are provided and the way geographical movements of hosts (during transaction executions) is supported

The evolution of mobile computing devices and wireless networks has created a new mobile computing environment. Users equipped with a mobile host can access, retrieve, and process information while in mobility. Laptops become more powerful data processing elements. Traditional transaction model has moved forwarding to mobile transaction. This paper proposed the model with the aims at solving the stated issues. A key requirement in such an environment is to support frequent disconnection of mobile database. Transaction management models for databases, in particular the centralized databases, has long been established. Due to the nature of mobile computers, the traditional transaction management models are no longer appropriate. This paper present a model that implements this framework in an asynchronous and synchronous system

The Influence Of Mobile Channel On Customer Behavior In Omni-Channel Banking Services

As mobile phones and tablets are in widespread use, the emergence of mobile channel is changing the way customers interact with financial institutions. In this research, we empirically examine how the use of mobile devices can improve customer informedness and affect customer behavior in financial transactions. We use a large-scale customer transaction data obtained from one of the largest commercial banks in the United States. Specifically, we investigate: (1) whether the use of mobile phones and tablets is associated with a higher level of customer informedness and demand for services; and (2) compared to customers that only transact through a PC, whether mobile phone and tablet users are less likely to incur overdraft and credit card penalty fees. This paper contributes new knowledge in omni-channel banking services by examining post-adoption customer behavioral changes using transaction-level observations. We also discuss insights for banks’ managers related to the design of new mobile channel, and strategic management of existing digital and physical channels

PT. Federal International Finance (FIF) Nganjuk branch is one branch of PT. Federal Internatuonal Finance, Inc. is engaged in the retail motorcycle financing business and electronic equipment. In the process of financing, one of which relates directly to the customer is marketing. At the time of serving the customer in the field, the problems often faced by marketing that marketing can not check the status of customer data such as pengeekan member and previous arrears, do add a new customer, to process the transaction (in this case the application process until the approval of financing), displays information about the data traffic to the dealer / store, the number of incentives, and the target number of transactions received, that all these can not be done directly in the field saaat. In addition, another problem encountered is the monitoring process will be marketing a visit to the dealer / shop and monitoring achievement of the targets of marketing can not be properly monitored by the admin .Based on all the exposure of the above problems, it takes an application that can perform customer data management, including customer data-checking process, and can add new customer transaction process, and can display information on the number of transactions, the number of targets and the amount received by marketing incentives, which can be processed directly when marketing is the field, as well as can be. make the process of monitoring the performance of marketing is done by the admin. Since the majority of marketing is the mobile phone users, the author tries to build an application "Customer Data Management and Monitoring Performance-based mobile marketing" to answer the above requirements. As a result of the implementation of the Customer Data Management applications and mobile-based Marketing Performance Monitoring has been done, marketing can make the process of checking customers\u27 data, add new customer, and transaction processing to financial filings with the approval of retail financing directly through mobile devices are carried in this case is mobile. In addition, the admin can monitor traffic and monitor the achievement of the target marketing marketing by using applications that are in the office
