    E-Government Interoperability and Integration Architecture Modeling Using TOGAF Framework Based on Service Oriented Architecture

    . Development of e-Government in Indonesia continues to roll and run in every government agency, both in central government and local government. Implementation of e-Government means that there are government's efforts to build and improve the quality of public services and internal operations in each regional apparatus organization effectively and efficiently. These activities inline with one of the bureaucracy reform mission, that is the modernization of government bureaucracy through the using of information and communication technology optimization to support bureaucracy reform vision and the creation of good governance. The development and implementation of e-Government currently mostly implemented by each regional apparatus organization. This condition makes it difficult to exchange data and information related to multisectoral activities due to data and information spread across various databases from different applications, platform, environment and architecture without good documentation. In preparation for arranging the e-Government architecture, we will use The Open Group Architecture Framework - Architecture Development Method as an enterprise architecture framework. The purpose of this research is to study and conceptualize e-Government interoperability and integration solutions of all existing applications and providing some model documents such as e-Government Architecture Vision, Integrated Business Model References Architecture, and Integrated Data Model References Architecture

Factories are using multiple Internet of Things (IoT) platforms to harvest sensor information to improve production. Such a transformation contributes to efficiency growth and reduced production costs. To deal with the heterogeneity of the services within an IoT system, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) is referred to in the literature as being advantageous for the design and development of software to support IoT-based production processes.The aim of SOA-based design is to provide the leverage to use and reuse loosely coupled IoT services at the middleware layer to minimise system integration problems. We propose a system architecture that follows the SOA architectural pattern and enables developers and business process designers to dynamically add, query or use instances of existing modular software in the IoT context.     On semantic annotation of decision models

    The growth of service sector in recent years has led to renewed research interests in the design and management of service systems. Decision support systems (DSS) play an important role in supporting this endeavor, through management of organizational resources such as models and data, thus forming the “back stage” of service systems. In this article, we identify the requirements for semantically annotating decision models and propose a model representation scheme, termed Semantically Annotated Structure Modeling Markup Language (SA-SMML) that extends Structure Modeling Markup Language (SMML) by incorporating mechanisms for linking semantic models such as ontologies that represent problem domain knowledge concepts. This model representation format is also amenable to a scalable Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) for managing models in distributed environments. The proposed model representation technique leverages recent advances in the areas of semantic web, and semantic web services. Along with design considerations, we demonstrate the utility of this representation format with an illustrative usage scenarios with a particular emphasis on model discovery and composition in a distributed environment

    MSC Dissertation in Computer EngineeringDistributed objects was, until recently, the leading technology in the design and implementation of component-based architectures, such as the ones based on services, better known as Service-Oriented Architectures (SOA). Although established in the market for more than a decade, and therefore mature, these technologies have failed to overcome the porting of the SOA concept to the Web. Web services are a recent technology that has been growing in the last few years. Their acceptance has increased over enterprises and organizations as they seem to overcome the Web and interoperability related problems of the Distributed Objects technology. Web services provide interoperability between systems and that is undoubtedly a strength of this technology since this is a crucial aspect of nowadays business. Moreover, the widespread of services led to the recent introduction of the service composition concept, that although being a technology independent concept,is closely related to Web services and there is no tool support for other technologies. Nonetheless, distributed objects still play an important role in the development of distributed systems, namely due to performance issues that are important when it comes to the internals of a platform. However, the use of service composition in these distributed object-based platforms requires the exposure of their composing services as Web services. The main objective of this masters thesis is improve the state-of-the-art in the support for the composition of services originating from distributed objects-based platforms. Bearing in mind that these kind of platforms are composed by several services, the idea is to present a platform as a set of Web services in order to be able to orchestrate them

However, in today’s molds and with the advent of the Internet and mobile devices, a paradigm shift, from the current isolated systems to interoperable distributed systems, that take advantage of ubiquitous computing, is needed. In critical situations, such as decision making in healthcare, it is necessary to have access to all of the patient’s information; for the information must be reliable and must be accessed in an easy and fast way. The present work proposes an architecture that aims to answer the needs of interoperability between heterogeneous health information systems and the need for ubiquity of medical information. A prototype was developed that tries to provide interoperability through a service-oriented architecture using web services. A mobile component was also developed to enable ubiquitous access to medical information. This work is based on the authors’ knowledge about the Portuguese National Health Service
