Towards a pivotal-based approach for business process alignment.
This article focuses on business process engineering, especially on alignment between business analysis and implementation. Through a business process management approach, different transformations interfere with process models in order to make them executable. To keep the consistency of process model from business model to IT model, we propose a pivotal metamodel-centric methodology. It aims at keeping or giving all requisite structural and semantic data needed to perform such transformations without loss of information. Through this we can ensure the alignment between business and IT. This article describes the concept of pivotal metamodel and proposes a methodology using such an approach. Conformal Prediction: a Unified Review of Theory and New Challenges
In this work we provide a review of basic ideas and novel developments about
Conformal Prediction -- an innovative distribution-free, non-parametric
forecasting method, based on minimal assumptions -- that is able to yield in a
very straightforward way predictions sets that are valid in a statistical sense
also in in the finite sample case. The in-depth discussion provided in the
paper covers the theoretical underpinnings of Conformal Prediction, and then
proceeds to list the more advanced developments and adaptations of the original

Dilettante, Venturesome, Tory and Crafts: Drivers of Performance Among Taxonomic Groups
Empirical research has failed to cumulate into a coherent taxonomy of small firms. This may be because the method adapted from biology by Bill McKelvey has almost never been adopted. His approach calls for extensive variables and a focused sample of organizations, contrary to most empirical studies, which are specialized. Comparing general and special purpose approaches, we find some of the latter have more explanatory power than others and that general purpose taxonomies have the greatest explanatory power. Examining performance, we find the types do not display significantly different levels of performance but they display highly varied drivers of performance

Accelerating positive change in electronic records management: an empirical toolkit of solutions
The AC+erm project aims to investigate and critically explore issues and practical strategies for accelerating positive change in electronic records management. The project’s focus is on designing an organisational-centred architecture from three perspectives: people, process and technology. This paper introduces the project, describes the methodology (a systematic literature review, e-Delphi studies and colloquia) and presents solutions for improving ERM developed from the people and process e-Delphi responses. ERM is particularly challenging and the solutions offered by the Delphi participants are numerous, and range in scale and complexity. The only firm conclusion that one can draw is that the majority of the solutions are people-focussed ones. The Cynefin framework is introduced as one approach for providing a conceptual overview to our findings on ERM. The sample solutions presented in this paper provide a toolkit of ‘probes’ and ‘interventions’ for practical application in organisations
Theory of ferromagnetic unconventional superconductors with spin-triplet electron pairing
A general phenomenological theory is presented for the phase behavior of
ferromagnetic superconductors with spin-triplet electron Cooper pairing. The
theory describes in details the temperature-pressure phase diagrams of real
inter-metallic compounds exhibiting the remarkable phenomenon of coexistence of
spontaneous magnetic moment of the itinerant electrons and spin-triplet
superconductivity. The quantum phase transitions which may occur in these
systems are also described. The theory allows for a classification of these
itinerant ferromagnetic superconductors in two types: type I and type II. The
classification is based on quantitative criteria.The comparison of theory and

Safety vision of agricultural tractors. An engineering perspective based on recent studies (2009-2019)
The high rate of injuries occurring in agricultural activities is of major concern in most countries, despite the ever-increasing efforts made at normative levels. In particular, the use of agricultural tractors is recognized as the most hazardous activity for farmers due to the large number of fatalities occurring every year. The aim of the present study was to investigate the recent developments in research activities dealing with tractor safety. For this purpose, a systematic literature review was carried out, taking into account engineering journal papers appearing in Scopus in the 2009-2019 period and focusing on tractor safety. As a result, 79 documents were selected and analyzed based on both their type (e.g., conceptual or empirical studies) and specific targets. They were then classified and discussed in accordance with a reference framework representing the main issues of agricultural tractor safety: mechanical hazards, protective devices, command and control, other hazards, ergonomics, information, conformity, and user behavior. The results of this analysis brought to light the need for a more human-centered approach when dealing with tractor safety. In addition, the lack of a reliable framework of technical standards was also stressed. Overall, despite the limitations due to the selection criteria, this study represents the first systematic literature review depicting the status of tractor safety in the engineering field, providing a basis for further research on the emerging themes outlined
