    Information communication technologies accelerated numerous trends in the world including the shift to online communication and further content digitalization. Technological innovations reverberate throughout complex social and demographic trends which make a significant impact on business, international companies including. The article focuses on linguistic analysis of the current changes in advertising and branding, mainly in the fashion industry. COVID-19 pandemic with online communication and remote work contributed to further transformation of choice, preferences, and options as well as to popularity of social media as an instrument of information search, as the environment for communication and sharing opinions. Lockdowns and quarantines during COVID-19 pandemic, lack of direct contact with clients entailed the shift to online marketing and advertising. Looking for effective online marketing instruments some companies select storytelling as a basis for their videos. Underpinned theoretically by multimodal discourse analysis and narrative studies, this paper shows how storytelling with its appeal to emotions and memorability potential is becoming a noticeable marketing trend and advertising strategy against the background of current radical technological changes in the information abundant world. Companies manufacturing lux products began to diversify marketing strategies and generate multimodal narrative – a string of stories about the brand, its founders, technologies they use. COVID-19 pandemic accelerated the shift to multimodal videos. During COVID-19 pandemic, fashion houses created marketing masterpieces to attract attention to new collections. They replaced traditional physical shows and set a new perspective for online fashion shows. These short films telling brand stories become chapters of a brand’s lookbook available in social media

    This article explores the topicality of Porter’s generic strategies, assessing about their applicability on two specific automotive industry projects: The Smart and the New Beetle.  After performing a documentation analysis on these two projects, it was concluded that both of them may be considered avoidable strategic mistakes as they show the risks of higher differentiation that is not being paid by the customer, no matter how if it is about recognized brands or icon products. Hazards and risks, like big losses and negative margins, are applicable to every firm.   This is a qualitative investigation with a not experimental and transversal research design.

In the US, the EPA Highway Diesel Rule, which will be fully implemented in 2010, has stimulated debate over whether urea selective catalytic reduction (urea-SCR) or lean NOx traps (LNT) are the better NOx aftertreatment approach for meeting this new standard. And, if urea-SCR is indeed the preferred option, how can its compliance and infrastructure challenges be overcome during the relatively short window of time between now and 2010. This thesis begins by performing a comprehensive technical and economic assessment of urea-SCR and LNT aftertreatment to determine which technology is more appropriate for use in heavy-duty vehicles and how sensitive that judgment is to changes in key variables, such as the price of urea. The focus then shifts to an exploration of the various compliance and infrastructure challenges associated with urea-SCR, namely the need to have a replenishable supply of urea. In particular, the actions and policies necessary to surmount those obstacles are discussed. Next, the policies and market factors that played a role in the EU's successful introduction of urea-SCR are examined and assessed for their ability to be applied in the US context. Finally, the long-term viability of urea-SCR is appraised through an investigation of the potential for competing emission control technologies to emerge and the prospect that urea-SCR becomes adopted by the light-duty diesel market. This thesis concludes by offering both a prognosis for what can be expected to occur between now and 2010, given the current course of action, as well as policy recommendations for how that trajectory might be corrected, such that the introduction of urea-SCR in 2010 is achieved with the maximum air quality benefit at the lowest cost.by Kristian M. This study defines and refers to this multifaceted phenomenon as ‘Over Featuring’ (OVF) to group different forms of excessive product development, from scope creep to overspecification and feature creep. The classification and theoretical development of the various forms of OVF is proposed, also origins and adverse outcomes, such as feature fatigue, are explored.     Mapping flows: Switzerland as operational landscape

    Drawing on episodes involving the use (and abuse) of maps in Switzerland, this essay pertains to the geopolitical agency of cartography in the production of urban territory. Maps generate and maintain particular discourses about the world, whether factual or fictional, with very real repercussions either way for the territory depicted. The UN motion made by Libyan leader Muammar al-Gadaffi to wipe Switzerland off the map, for instance, discloses just how much sway the cartographic imaginary holds in global relations. Guillaume- Henri Dufour’s mid-nineteenth century map re-territorialised a loose coalition of fiercely independent cantons into that unified economic and legislative space known as ‘Switzerland’, while underwriting an infrastructural machine that remains as central to Swiss self-esteem as it is to the nation’s economy. More recent examples of the map’s formative authority come by way of two unusual bids made in 2010 to redraw the boundaries of Switzerland. The controversial map by Armed Forces Chief AndrĂ© Blattmann recast Europe as enemy territory in an effort to rekindle patriotic identity and legitimise the need for an army. Conversely, right-wing politician Dominique Baettig put forth an equally contentious map calling for the annexation of regions from neighbouring countries that would create a new Swiss megacity in the heart of Europe. Regardless of how it is mapped, Switzerland’s contemporary urban fabric hardly adheres to an immaculate image, manifesting instead a disjunctive amalgam of bits and pieces that operate according to their own rules and agendas. And with such territorial entropy increasing on a planetary scale, we might wonder to what extent the map actively shapes these conditions as an actor in its own right rather than only neutrally reflecting them. In any case, territory is never simply given, but is constituted through the polymorphous elements, relations, and domains of reference that it assembles. Whereas the map might continue to express what is done in the name of territory, we do not yet know what territory itself can do
