    Bi-stability resistant to fluctuations

    We study a simple micro-mechanical device that does not lose its snap-through behavior in an environment dominated by fluctuations. The main idea is to have several degrees of freedom that can cooperatively resist the de-synchronizing effect of random perturbations. As an inspiration we use the power stroke machinery of skeletal muscles, which ensures at sub-micron scales and finite temperatures a swift recovery of an abruptly applied slack. In addition to hypersensitive response at finite temperatures, our prototypical Brownian snap spring also exhibits criticality at special values of parameters which is another potentially interesting property for micro-scale engineering applications

Доведено, що розвиток машинобудівних підприємств є необхідною передумовою економічного розвитку країни.Engineering is the only branch of industry, which provides the introduction of scientific and technological progress in all other areas of the economy. It covers – 11 073 companies, 57 research institutes and 233000 job positions. So engineering is the most important complex, large manufacturing sector, it includes machine tools, devices, power, metallurgy, chemical equipment and agricultural machinery. Depending on the purpose of products produced, machine-building is divided into engineering sectors, and those in turn into subsectors (there are several dozens of them). The number of branches is continuously growing. Traditional engineering is divided into the following groups of industries: heavy machinery, the average mechanical engineering, accurate engineering, metal products and preparation manufacturing, general engineering, machinery and equipment repair. The author analyses the current state of the industry, provides the analysis of production, exports and imports of domestic products, identified trends. It is shown that Ukrainian engineering has low competitiveness both in domestic and foreign markets. It is proved that the development of engineering companies is a prerequisite for economic development. The state of operation and engineering companies directly depends on the state and quality of the productive apparatus of the country. It is therefore becoming actual need for continuous monitoring of the development and engineering

    Machinery in the United States, Sweden and Germany: An assessment of changes in comparative advantage

    Since the early sixties traditional machinery suppliers, almost exclusively located in highly advanced economies, have been subject to considerable adjustment pressures. Among the most important causes, firstly, was the increasing international penetration of markets among traditional machinery suppliers % secondly, Japan emerged as a vigourous competitor; and thirdly, a number of semiindustrialized countries established mechanical engineering industries of their own which in certain activities even proved capable of successfully competing on the world market. As these events have affected and still affect the international division of labour in the machinery industry, the future role of machinery in highly advanced economies may become somewhat uncertain, particularly as the establishment of machinery industries in developing countries continues. In order to obtain an understanding of implications for the high-income countries, we shall focus on the recent development of machinery in the United States, Sweden, and the Federal Republic of Germany. These countries have been selected for investigation because they belong to the most advanced economies in the world but differ in the size of their domestic market and in their structure of production. Analyzing these countries, the purpose of this paper is firstly, to specify determinants of location for the machinery industry as a whole, and secondly to identify individual branches of machinery, if any, in which these highest-income countries are tending to lose their competitiveness. In part I a multi-country cross-section analysis is undertaken to determine a normal pattern of development for the machinery industry. For the United States, Sweden, and Germany deviations from this normal pattern are used to diagnosticize country-specific idiosyncracies. Besides this, the normal pattern itself has useful prognostic properties. Part II discusses some determinats of location. Changes in relative factor absorption,. as well as economies of scale and national idiosyncracies are examined for their implications on the high-income countries as advantageous locations for the machinery industry. Part III applies the concept of revealed comparative advantage to 36 sub-industries of machinery.

An ergonomic team, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering and business statisticians test the porang (amorphophallus muelleri) cutting machine and collect individually data more than 10 examples of postures to produce a new evaluation that combines dynamic and static posture loading factors, human load interfaces (couplings), and new limb concepts the assisted gravity. position. Initial reliability for inter-observer coding shows hope, but further work is needed to establish the trust for the machinery customer

    Work Preparation and Coaching Intensity to Improve Mechanical Engineering Students’ Academic Achievement in the Machinery Practicum in the Engineering Faculty of the Yogyakarta State University. This study aims to reveal the effects of the work preparation and coaching system for mechanical engineering students of the Engineering Faculty of the Yogyakarta State University on the 3rd Machinery Practicum. This study was a classroom action research study. The population comprised all the students and the sample consisted of 19 3rd semester students. The data were collected through questionnaires, observations, and documents and analyzed by quantitative and qualitative descriptive techniques. The results are as follows. 1) The work preparation and coaching system ran well and was conducted in 10 weeks (2 cycles). The work preparation was made by the students before the class started. They consulted the lecturer 10 minutes before. The coaching was effective if it was carried out every 30 minutes since that class started. 2) The students passed this practicum if they obtained a score of 78.15 and successfully finished 5 of 7 jobs. 3) The process ran well and the students showed a good attitude towards work and worked seriously.     The design of automated industrial machinery involves different areas of engineering, each of which employs its own and different information representation systems and software tools. The lack of a common information model to collect and organize the essential common data of each technology, prevents collaborative multidisciplinary engineering work, which complicates the use of a mechatronic approach. This article proposes the structure of an information model that allows to include geometric, kinematic and logical information related to the tools and objects that the machine manipulates, organized hierarchically according to the mechanical structure of the machine. This model complements an earlier development by the authors by calling MMCS “Mechanical and Motion Control Schematics”, which focuses on graphical representation. By combining them, the dynamic behavior can be visualized together
