Notes on Guatemalan Plusiotis (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae; Rutelinae)
Two new species of Plusiotis are described from a cloud forest between 1560-1900 m in the Department of San Marcos, Guatemala. Females of P. turhheimi Ohaus, P. auropunctata Ohaus and P. quiche Moron are described. Plusiotis turhheimi is reported from Guatemala for the first time

Effect of DNA repair deficiencies on the cytotoxicity of resveratrol
Numerous preclinical studies have shown that the
naturally-occurring polyphenol resveratrol may
produce health-beneficial effects in a variety of
disorders, including cancer, diabetes, Alzheimer, and
cardiovascular diseases. Resveratrol has entered
clinical trials for the prevention and treatment of
several of these disorders. This polyphenol is also
available in the market as a dietary supplement.
Experimental data have shown, however, that
resveratrol induces DNA damage in a variety of cells.
Here we review such evidence and evaluate the
cytotoxicity of resveratrol (MTT assay) in cells deficient
in several major DNA repair pathways (i.e.,
homologous recombination, non-homologous end
joining, base excision repair, nucleotide excision repair,
mismatch repair, and Fanconi anemia repair). Cells
deficient in base excision repair (EM9), nucleotide
excision repair (UV4 and UV5) and Fanconi Anemia
(KO40) were slightly hypersensitive to
resveratrol-induced cytotoxicity with respect to their
parental cells (AA8). Our results suggest that these
pathways may participate in the repair of the DNA
damage induced by resveratrol and that deficiencies in
these pathways may confer hypersensitivity to the
genotoxic activity of this dietary constituen
Swearwords Used by Gangsters in the “Alpha Dog” Movie
Many people assume that swearwords is a rude word and should be avoided. Those words are used to insult, to curse, to offend or to mock at something when the speaker has strong emotion (Hughes, 1991,05). To swear at someone or something is to insult and deprecate the object of abuse, as well as to use other kinds of dysphemism (Allan & Burridge, 2006,76). Apparently some experts and scholars have been able to prove that swearwords also has a purpose and a meaning beside the one as commonly held. Therefore, the writer took the "Alpha Dog" movie as an example of the analyzed cases. Examples have been found by the writer including the categories of epithets derived from tabooed bodily organs, epithets derived from bodily effluvia, epithets derived from sexual behaviours, dysphemistic epithets that pick on real physical characteristics that are treated as though they are abnormalities, imprecations and epithets invoking mental subnormality or derangement. Finally, the writer also managed to find a purpose or a reason for the people to use swearwords in real life

Fermat-linked relations for the Boubaker polynomial sequences via Riordan matrices analysis
The Boubaker polynomials are investigated in this paper. Using Riordan
matrices analysis, a sequence of relations outlining the relations with
Chebyshev and Fermat polynomials have been obtained. The obtained expressions
are a meaningful supply to recent applied physics studies using the Boubaker
polynomials expansion scheme (BPES).Comment: 12 pages, LaTe

Buyer-supplier partnership in agile supply chains: A conceptual view
The purpose of this paper focuses on achieving agility within the supply chain and seeks to examine the impact of developing an integrated buyer-supplier partnership on achieving agility. It also aims to investigate the moderating role played by information sharing and technology in achieving such a goal. Supply chain management and agility have both been received great attention in recent years. In a highly dynamic and complex business market place the customer is demanding more choice and companies need to possess the means to rapidly adjust to market changes in order to satisfy its customers in an effective manner. Agility has been introduced to the supply chain context to enable companies to face the business environmental changes and deal with them effectively. The methodological approach used in this paper is an analysis and critique to the existing literature, as an initial step for developing the empirical study for the paper
