    This study discusses the use of e-commerce and m-commerce by female entrepreneurs, the majority was housewives. This study uses a qualitative method for exposing a phe-nomenon and the behavior that occurs. It uses descriptive design which allows for the study of profound and piercing the target. Thus, this research modle is the linear snowball to get 100 female entrepreneurs who do business with e-commerce and m-commerce. The findings show that some female entrepreneurs take advantage of e-commerce for retail sales, wholesalers, agents and distributors of a product / service and also in some remote areas, e-commerce, they can help some entrepreneurs to jump-start their business in a way to explore e-commerce for looking for a supplier. Utiliza-tion of e-commerce is relatively easier for the beginner entrepreneurs in the condition of contacts through mobile that is a demand for the products they offer. It suggests that further study can be done discussing the similar e-commerce which aims to support the emergence of women entrepreneurs as a reinforcement of the household finances with-out abandoning their responsibilities as a mothe

    HandyBroker - An intelligent product-brokering agent for M-commerce applications with user preference tracking

    One of the potential applications for agent-based systems is m-commerce. A lot of research has been done on making such systems intelligent to personalize their services for users. In most systems, user-supplied keywords are generally used to help generate profiles for users. In this paper, an evolutionary ontology-based product-brokering agent has been designed for m-commerce applications. It uses an evaluation function to represent a user’s preference instead of the usual keyword-based profile. By using genetic algorithms, the agent tracks the user’s preferences for a particular product by tuning some parameters inside its evaluation function. A prototype called “Handy Broker” has been implemented in Java and the results obtained from our experiments looks promising for m-commerce use

    Nigeria was described as the fastest growing telecoms nation in Africa and the third in the World. The country had experienced a phenomenal growth from a teledensity of 0.49 in 2000 to 25.22 in 2007. This trend has brought about a monumental development in the major sectors of the economy, such as banking, telecoms and commerce in general. This paper presents the level of adoption of ICT in the banking sector and investigates the prospects of m-Commerce in Nigeria based on strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) analysis. Findings revealed that all banks in Nigeria offer e-Banking services and about 52% of the offer some forms of m-Banking services. The banks and the telecoms operators have enormous potentials and opportunities for m-Commerce but the level of patronage, quality of cell phones, lack of basic infrastructure and security issues pose a major threat to its wide scale implementation

This study aims to empirically examine some of the factors affecting the acceptance of m-commerce within the context of Saudi Arabia. Based on the revised UTAUT model, the revised model include two particular construct : costs and trust to enhance our understanding of m-commerce acceptance and usage. Survey data were collected from 574 participants in several cities across Saudi Arabia. The results emphasise that cost, effort expectancy, and performance expectancy all considerably affect the intention to use. In this regard, usage intention actually decides utilisation

In this paper, developments in the area of QoS-dependent multimedia perceptual quality are reviewed and are integrated with recent work focusing on QoS for e-commerce. Based on previously identified user perceptual tolerance to varying multimedia QoS, we show that enhancing the m-commerce B2C user experience with multimedia, far from being an idealised scenario, is in fact feasible if perceptual considerations are employed
