Linear Algebra and Smarandache Linear Algebra

    Get PDF
The present book, on Smarandache linear algebra, not only studies the Smarandache analogues of linear algebra and its applications, it also aims to bridge the need for new research topics pertaining to linear algebra, purely in the algebraic sense. We have introduced Smarandache semilinear algebra, Smarandache bilinear algebra and Smarandache anti-linear algebra and their fuzzy equivalents. Moreover, in this book, we have brought out the study of linear algebra and vector spaces over finite prime fields, which is not properly represented or analyzed in linear algebra books

    Open questions in utility theory

    Get PDF
Throughout this paper, our main idea is to explore different classical questions arising in Utility Theory, with a particular attention to those that lean on numerical representations of preference orderings. We intend to present a survey of open questions in that discipline, also showing the state-of-art of the corresponding literature. This work is partially supported by the research projects ECO2015-65031-R, MTM2015-63608-P (MINECO/ AEI-FEDER, UE), and TIN2016-77356-P (MINECO/ AEI-FEDER, UE)

Structure of partially ordered cyclic semigroups

    Get PDF
summary:This paper recalls some properties of a cyclic semigroup and examines cyclic subsemigroups in a finite ordered semigroup. We prove that a partially ordered cyclic semigroup has a spiral structure which leads to a separation of three classes of such semigroups. The cardinality of the order relation is also estimated. Some results concern semigroups with a lattice order

Bisymmetric and quasitrivial operations: characterizations and enumerations

    Get PDF
We investigate the class of bisymmetric and quasitrivial binary operations on a given set XX and provide various characterizations of this class as well as the subclass of bisymmetric, quasitrivial, and order-preserving binary operations. We also determine explicitly the sizes of these classes when the set XX is finite.Comment: arXiv admin note: text overlap with arXiv:1709.0916
