Concentration in learning has a big impact on determining learning outcomes. Some of the conditions experienced by students who find it difficult to maintain concentration during the learning process are caused by many factors. Among them is the atmosphere of a noisy learning environment. One way to determine the learning concentration condition is by measuring beta brain waves using Electroencephalography (EEG). This study aims to analyze the effect of the murottal stimulus of Al Baqarah verses 1-10 on beta brain wave activity and its relationship with learning concentration. The research method used is experimental. Subjects in this study were 6 students of UIN Walisongo Semarang, with inclusion criteria ranging from 20-23 years old, Muslim, not hearing impaired, physically and mentally healthy, and not using drugs. The stages of research consisted of 4 stages; first, the research subjects carried out the pre-test without stimulus; second subject measured their brain waves without stimulus; third, subjects measured brain waves with stimulus; and finally, the research subjects carried out the pre-test with stimulus. The analysis results using the T-test, which stated that the average comparison of beta brain waves in the two groups before and after being given the murottal Al-Qur’an stimulus showed a p-value of 0.0003 (p<0.05). While the results of the pre-test and post-test T-test showed a p-value of 0.017 (p<0.05). It shows that the murottal stimulus of Al Baqarah verses 1-10 effects changes in beta waves and the level of learning concentration

Estimation of Toeplitz Covariance Matrices in Large Dimensional Regime with Application to Source Detection

In this article, we derive concentration inequalities for the spectral norm of two classical sample estimators of large dimensional Toeplitz covariance matrices, demonstrating in particular their asymptotic almost sure consistence. The consistency is then extended to the case where the aggregated matrix of time samples is corrupted by a rank one (or more generally, low rank) matrix. As an application of the latter, the problem of source detection in the context of large dimensional sensor networks within a temporally correlated noise environment is studied. As opposed to standard procedures, this application is performed online, i.e. without the need to possess a learning set of pure noise samples.Comment: 20 pages, 3 figures, submitted to IEEE Transactions on Signal Processin

Abstract Concentration is a process of learning science to focus the learning process to follow which discusses classify animals based on the type of food until learning is completed and committed over a period of time without easily distracted. If students have difficulty in concentrating when studying science, then student achievement will be hampered. Therefore we need a game that can increase the concentration of science learning, using a puzzle game. The purpose of this study is to increase the concentration of science teaching and learning science to analyze the results before and after the game against the concentration of science learning puzzle of Cerebral Palsy students learn science class IV-D1 YPAC SDLB Surabaya. The design used in this research was single subject research (SSR) with the A-B-A design pattern. The subject in this research were 11 year old student cerebral palsy in SDLB-D1 YPAC Surabaya. The subjects in this study were students of cerebral palsy (BTG) class IV-D1YPAC SDLB Surabaya. The results showed that the baseline phase (A1) is given as much as 5 times the concentration of the meeting and cerebral palsy students learn science is still around 6-7 minutes, the intervention phase (B) was given 10 times the concentration of the meeting and cerebral palsy learn science students has risen 15-18 minutes, whereas the baseline phase (A2) is given as much as 5 times the concentration of the meeting and cerebral palsy learn science students has increased compared to the baseline phase (A1) risen 14-15 minutes. This is consistent with the percentage of overlap of only 10% means that a given intervention may increase the concentration of cerebral palsy students learn science. It can be concluded that the puzzle game can increase the concentration of cerebral palsy students learn science. Self-organization of signal transduction

We propose a model of parameter learning for signal transduction, where the objective function is defined by signal transmission efficiency. We apply this to learn kinetic rates as a form of evolutionary learning, and look for parameters which satisfy the objective. This is a novel approach compared to the usual technique of adjusting parameters only on the basis of experimental data. The resulting model is self-organizing, i.e. perturbations in protein concentrations or changes in extracellular signaling will automatically lead to adaptation. We systematically perturb protein concentrations and observe the response of the system. We find compensatory or co-regulation of protein expression levels. In a novel experiment, we alter the distribution of extracellular signaling, and observe adaptation based on optimizing signal transmission. We also discuss the relationship between signaling with and without transients. Signaling by transients may involve maximization of signal transmission efficiency for the peak response, but a minimization in steady-state responses. With an appropriate objective function, this can also be achieved by concentration adjustment. Self-organizing systems may be predictive of unwanted drug interference effects, since they aim to mimic complex cellular adaptation in a unified way.Comment: updated version, 13 pages, 4 figures, 3 Tables, supplemental tabl
