Condorcet domains of tiling type
A Condorcet domain (CD) is a collection of linear orders on a set of
candidates satisfying the following property: for any choice of preferences of
voters from this collection, a simple majority rule does not yield cycles. We
propose a method of constructing "large" CDs by use of rhombus tiling diagrams
and explain that this method unifies several constructions of CDs known
earlier. Finally, we show that three conjectures on the maximal sizes of those
CDs are, in fact, equivalent and provide a counterexample to them.Comment: 16 pages. To appear in Discrete Applied Mathematic
Multiconfiguration Dirac-Hartree-Fock calculations of atomic electric dipole moments of 225^Ra, 199^Hg, and 171^Yb
The multiconfiguration Dirac-Hartree-Fock (MCDHF) method has been employed to
calculate atomic electric dipole moments (EDM) of 225^Ra, 199^Hg, and 171^Yb.
For the calculations of the matrix elements we extended the relativistic atomic
structure package GRASP2K. The extension includes programs to evaluate matrix
elements of (P, T)-odd e-N tensor-pseudotensor and pseudoscalar-scalar
interactions, the atomic electric dipole interaction, the nuclear Schiff
moment, and the interaction of the electron electric dipole moment with nuclear
magnetic moments. The interelectronic interactions were accounted for through
valence and core-valence electron correlation effects. The electron shell
relaxation was included with separately optimised wave functions of opposite
parities
Consensus theories: an oriented survey
This article surveys seven directions of consensus theories: Arrowian results, federation consensus rules, metric consensus rules, tournament solutions, restricted domains, abstract consensus theories, algorithmic and complexity issues. This survey is oriented in the sense that it is mainly – but not exclusively – concentrated on the most significant results obtained, sometimes with other searchers, by a team of French searchers who are or were full or associate members of the Centre d'Analyse et de Mathématique Sociale (CAMS).Consensus theories ; Arrowian results ; aggregation rules ; metric consensus rules ; median ; tournament solutions ; restricted domains ; lower valuations ; median semilattice ; complexity
