New scenarios of joint crises fighting in socio-economic sphere of Russia and Greece

The purpose of the article is to verify this hypothesis and to determine the newest scenarios of joint overcoming of crises in socio-economic sphere of Russia and Greece. The work uses the method of statistical analysis, with the help of which the authors study the dynamics of socio-economic development of Russia and Greece in 2008-2014 and determine common tendencies and regularities. As a result of the research, the authors found out that Russia and Greece are peculiar for common socio-economic problems which cause similar crises, which leads to expedience of unification of efforts of both countries for their joint effective solution. This research distinguishes three most perspective directions of fighting crises in socio-economic sphere and offers three possible scenarios of joint crisis fighting in socio-economic sphere of Russia and Greece: innovations-oriented, business-oriented, and institution-oriented scenario, with development of the authors’ concept of joint crises fighting in socio-economic sphere of Russia and Greece.peer-reviewe

Role of business administration in the process of formation of post-industrial economy

The purpose of the article is to determine the role of business administration in the process of formation of post-industrial economy. The research is based on statistical analysis of time rows. With the help of the method of correlation and regression analysis, the author distinguishes the role of entrepreneurship in the process of formation of post-industrial economy through analysis of dependence between the level of development of business and level of development of post-industrial economy in the countries of the world. For provision of representation of the data, the objects of the research are countries from various geographical and socio-economic regions of the world: Sweden, the USA, Russia, China, and India. The author determined the role of business administration in formation of the foundations of post-industrial economy and offered the corresponding model that allows for maximization of business administration’s contribution into the process of formation of post-industrial economy.peer-reviewe

New approaches to modernization of spatial and sectorial development of Russian and Greek regional economy

The purpose of the article is to develop new highly-effective organizational and managerial approaches to conduct of modernization of spatial and sectorial development of regional economy of Russia and Greece. During conduct of the research, the authors use such scientific methods as systemic structural and comparative analysis. The authors determine the level of differentiation of the level and structure of economic development of regions of Russia and Greece in 2012 through consideration of indicators of GRP per capita of regions and GDP, as well as gross added value for regions and sectors of production. During the research, the authors come to the conclusion that modern Russia and Greece are peculiar for presence of serious disproportions in the level of economic development of regions, which is a reason for unbalanced development of economic systems of these countries, slowdown of rates of national economic growth, and crisis. This situation is caused by orientation at the use of geographical approach. As alternative, the authors offer three new approaches to modernization of spatial and sectorial development of regional economy of Russia and Greece: cluster, client-oriented, and anti-crisis and substantiate expediency of transition to their application. These approaches allow overcoming the aforementioned drawbacks and ensure well-balanced development of regional economy in the long-term, as well as its high sustainability and quick overcoming of economic crises. For provision of high effectiveness of the process of selecting the optimal approach to modernization of spatial and sectorial development of regional economy by territorial authorities, it is offered to use the corresponding proprietary algorithm of modernization of spatial and sectorial development of regional economy.peer-reviewe

The authors use the method of regression analysis, with the help of which they determine the dependence of the level and rates of economic growth of modern economic systems on development of innovation-oriented entrepreneurship. The additional methodological instrumentarium includes the proprietary method of evaluation of effectiveness of business administration of innovation-oriented enterprise. New possibilities and tools for corporate strategic management for supporting its high competitiveness and economic effectiveness

The purpose of the article is to determine new possibilities and tools for corporate strategic management and to substantiate the necessity for their usage for supporting a company’s competitiveness and economic effectiveness in modern Russia. The information and analytical basis of the research consists of the materials of the Report on global competitiveness for 2016-2017, prepared within the World economic forum. For verification of the offered hypothesis, the methods of deduction, induction, synthesis, systemic, problem, and structural & functional analysis, as well as analysis of causal connections, and the methods of modeling and formalization were used. Because of the research, a conclusion is made that imperfection of the process of strategic management is a reason for low competitiveness and economic effectiveness of modern Russian companies. To solve this problem, the authors substantiate the necessity for applying the principle of interactivity, which supposes consideration of new possibilities and usage of leading tools in the process of corporate strategic management and develop the recommendations and offer an interactive model for strategic management of a modern company in modern Russia for the purpose of supporting high competitiveness and economic effectiveness of domestic entrepreneurship.peer-reviewe

Business administration as a basis for development of global entrepreneurship

The purpose of the article is to determine the role and meaning of business administration in development of global entrepreneurship. The work uses the proprietary methodology of evaluation of global competitiveness of enterprise and the proprietary methodology of evaluation of efficiency of business administration of enterprise, as well as method of correlation analysis. The authors determine the role of business administration in management of factors of development of global enterprise and offer the proprietary structural and logical model of organization of the process of business administration of global enterprise as a perspective tool for provision of global competitiveness of business and development of global entrepreneurship on the whole. The authors come to the conclusion that business administration is a basis for development of global entrepreneurship and plays an important role in this process, which consists in managing other internal and external factors of functioning of global business.peer-reviewe

Combination and selection of machine learning algorithms in GNSS architecture design for concurrent executions with HIL testing

As machine learning (ML) continuing to gain popularity, ML-assisted Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receivers facilitate the performance of Autonomous Systems (AS) navigation solutions. However, selections of ML is often a trade-off in practice where empirical knowledge is taken to alleviate complexities. Therefore, this paper explores decision-making solutions for maximising determined hardware performance under quantitative and qualitative considerations. This work proposes Algorithm Selection and Matching with Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (ASM-FAHP) that maps multiple trade-off concerns into a Multi-Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) problem. The ASM-FAHP firstly searches all the possible alternatives to find possible combinations with hardware resource limitations taken into account. Afterwards, ASM-FAHP prioritizes the most significant candidate by constructing a hierarchical structure with several attributes and scoring with fuzzy numbers. Hereby, the most suitable ML combinations are determined by calculating synthesised fuzzy weights per each alternative. The performance of the ML combination is evaluated by concurrently executing it on resource-constrained hardware, specifically the Jetson Nano board. The ML models are trained and tested using high-fidelity synthetic datasets produced from Spirent GSS7000 simulator and SimGen while connected to hardware-in-the-loop (HIL). It has been discovered that when approaching hardware limits, the selected combination of machine learning algorithms makes full use of memory resources but sacrifices processing speed.This work is performed under the ESA-funded project VTL4AV (NAVISPEL1-066 bis)

Assessment of Policy Alternatives for Mitigation of Barriers to EV Adoption

Electric Vehicle (EV) has become an increasingly important topic in recent years due to energy and environmental concerns. Governments started to focus on remedies to the upcoming climate change threat and seek solutions through policies and regulations. The negative impact of carbon emissions along with pressure from governmental and social organizations force automotive manufacturers to shift to alternative energy sources. However, EV transition is a complex problem because its stakeholders are very diverse including governments, policy makers, EV manufacturers, and Non-Government Organizations (NGOs). Consequently, the barriers to EV adoption are not only consumer oriented, rather exist under many categories. The literature has yet to offer a comprehensive, quantified list of barriers to EV adoption. Although the enacted policies are known, the effectiveness of these policies in mitigating EV adoption is not known. The objective of this research is to assess policy alternatives for mitigation of EV adoption barriers by developing a comprehensive evaluation model. Barriers are grouped under Social, Technical, Environmental, Economic and Political (STEEP) perspectives that are perceived by decision makers as important for adoption process. The decision model of research links the perspectives to barriers, and policy alternatives. The research implements the hierarchical decision model (HDM) to construct a generalized policy assessment framework. Data for EV adoption barriers were collected from the abovementioned stakeholders. Experts\u27 qualitative judgments were collected and quantified using the pair-wise comparison method. The final rankings and effectiveness of policy alternatives were calculated. This research\u27s results showed that the most important perspective is Economic. The top three most important barriers to EV adoption were identified as Initial Cost, Battery Cost, and Entrenched Technology Resistance, respectively. The most effective policy in mitigating EV adoption barriers is R&D Incentives. The research also extended the policy effectiveness research with Policy Effectiveness Curves by reaching out to additional experts. These curves helped determine the effectiveness of each of the 6 policies at different implementation levels. Based on these results, 25 scenarios were applied by combinations of policies at different implementation levels to investigate how the effectiveness of policies can change compared to today\u27s conditions
