Aspects of Assembly and Cascaded Aspects of Assembly: Logical and Temporal Properties
Highly dynamic computing environments, like ubiquitous and pervasive
computing environments, require frequent adaptation of applications. This has
to be done in a timely fashion, and the adaptation process must be as fast as
possible and mastered. Moreover the adaptation process has to ensure a
consistent result when finished whereas adaptations to be implemented cannot be
anticipated at design time. In this paper we present our mechanism for
self-adaptation based on the aspect oriented programming paradigm called Aspect
of Assembly (AAs). Using AAs: (1) the adaptations process is fast and its
duration is mastered; (2) adaptations' entities are independent of each other
thanks to the weaver logical merging mechanism; and (3) the high variability of
the software infrastructure can be managed using a mono or multi-cycle weaving
approach.Comment: 14 pages, published in International Journal of Computer Science,

Logic-Based Specification Languages for Intelligent Software Agents
The research field of Agent-Oriented Software Engineering (AOSE) aims to find
abstractions, languages, methodologies and toolkits for modeling, verifying,
validating and prototyping complex applications conceptualized as Multiagent
Systems (MASs). A very lively research sub-field studies how formal methods can
be used for AOSE. This paper presents a detailed survey of six logic-based
executable agent specification languages that have been chosen for their
potential to be integrated in our ARPEGGIO project, an open framework for
specifying and prototyping a MAS. The six languages are ConGoLog, Agent-0, the
IMPACT agent programming language, DyLog, Concurrent METATEM and Ehhf. For each
executable language, the logic foundations are described and an example of use
is shown. A comparison of the six languages and a survey of similar approaches
complete the paper, together with considerations of the advantages of using
logic-based languages in MAS modeling and prototyping.Comment: 67 pages, 1 table, 1 figure. Accepted for publication by the Journal

EXPLORING CITATION PATTERNS IN ONE SELECTED VOLUME OF INDONESIAN JOURNAL OF APPLIED LINGUISTICS (IJAL)
Ayu Utami. 14111310012. EXPLORING CITATION PATTERNS IN ONE
SELECTED VOLUME OF INDONESIAN JOURNAL OF APPLIED
LINGUISTICS (IJAL)
This research is exploring citation pattern in one selected volume of
Indonesian Journal of Applied Linguistics (IJAL) which contains twelve journals
and specifically volume 4, no 2, published in January 2015, pages 1-145. It
concerned in the citations or quotation then its types, nature of citation, and the
style of citation patterns in every single journal of IJAL. The study is in the zone
of writing.
This thesis is intended with qualitative approach design which focuses on
identifying the content journals. For its data of the research, the researcher take
from a website of Indonesian Journal of Applied Linguistics (IJAL), it is
ejournal.upi.edu/index.php/IJAL. In collecting the data, the researcher conducted
the primary and secondary data which those journals are as the primary data. Then
some references books, the note of researcher, and software in doing research are
as the secondary data.
For the identification of citations types of the journals followed the
theories of Alwasilah (2015) entitled Pokoknya Studi Kasus and Bluebook
Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association 6th edition (2010)
then supported by Paltridge and Starfield (2007). The findings show that there are
three types of citation which is identified along research at the journals such
Direct Citation, Paraphrase, and Block Citation types where it is dominated by
Paraphrase with 87%. For the analyzing, the patterns of citations types which are
concerning to the three major patterns of citations, the researcher adopted the
theories of Swales and Feak (1994) in the Academic Writing for Graduate
Students. Those are three major patterns of citations which are called Pattern I,
Pattern II, and Pattern III which are able to be recognized by the tense usage in
citing
Attitude towards tobacco consumption among residents of Dhankuta Municipality of Nepal
The use of tobacco is a major cause of preventable mortality. The estimated number of smokers is 1.1 billion. Of these, 700 million men and 100 million women are in developing countries. The objective of this study was to find out attitude towards tobacco consumption among residents of Dhankuta Municipality. The cross sectional study was conducted among the residents of Dhankuta Municipality where 205 households were taken as subjects. Pretested semi structured questionnaire was administered to the study subjects and face to face interview was conducted. The collected data was entered in MS Excel 2000. The quantitative data was analyzed using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences SPSS software package. The study subjects consist of 50.2 of male and 49.8 of female. Regarding respondent's education, study population showed high level of SLC and above 40.5 followed by below SLC 36.1 and very less was illiterate 14.1 . Majority of the respondents think that there should be ban of the advertising of tobacco products 87.3 and smoking in public places 79 . Almost 67 of respondents think that patient's chances of quitting smoking will be increased if health professionals will give advice to patients. Almost 72.6 of the study population feel cut down tobacco use and 80.3 feel guilty about this habit. Almost 65.8 have tried to discontinue tobacco consumption. We conclude that the residents of Dhankuta reflect good attitude towards cessation of tobacco but poor practice to prevent of tobacco consumption. A Scopus-Based Bibliometric Review of Dental Research Productivity of Universities in North East of England: Policy Implications
Introduction: To evaluate the dental research productivity of the universities in the North East of England (NEE).
Methods: We collected the bibliometric data of the dental publications of the five NEE universities from SCOPUS. Collected data were analysed using the Microsoft Excel 2021 software.
Results: Dentistry was the health science subject area with the lowest volume of research productivity in two-fifth of the NEE universities. The NEE universities contributed <4% of the total dental research publications in the UK. Newcastle University was the NEE university with the highest volume of dental research productivity. The level of inter-institutional dental research collaborations among the NEE universities was very low. The USA-based institutions were the most productive foreign institutions collaborating with NEE universities. The study identified the five most published dental researchers at the NEE universities. Each of the NEE universities had at least 15.8% of its total dental research publications in the British Dental Journal.
Conclusion: The findings obtained in this study gives a reflection of dental research productivity of NEE universities. There is a need to strengthen dental research capacity of universities in the NEE
