    On behalf of the Editorial Board, I am delighted to present Volume 1, Issue 2: September 2021 of the Journal of Education, Management and Development Studies (JEMDS). On this issue, we have featured high-quality articles focusing on different key areas, especially on the new normal brought by the COVID-19 pandemic. This issue marks how the journal has recently transitioned from Semi-Annual to Quarterly to cater to the growing demands of submission. Furthermore, the journal is now being abstracted and indexed in various academic databases. We have also registered with E-ISSN and Crossref. Articles published in the journal and its references are now included in the Crossref Database and provided by Digital Object Identifier (DOI) as a digital footprint to ensure that readers can reliably locate the articles. We could not attain these milestones without the support of the Editorial Board, invited Reviewers and the Authors as the key players in achieving the goal of the journal to publish original research papers, reviews, and case studies related to broad areas of disciplines, including Education, Environment and Natural Resources, Health Sciences, Social and Behavioral Sciences, Public Management, Business Management, Entrepreneurship, and Gender and Development. We will continuously strive to publish more volumes in the following years to contribute to the body of knowledge and support scholars and academicians' vehemence in excellence and discovery.

    Training, Education and Research in COVID-19 Times: Innovative Methodological Approaches, Best Practices, and Case Studies

    The global COVID-19 pandemic has posed a major challenge in all aspects of life, including how graduate training of healthcare practitioners is conducted. In Saudi Arabia, there were over 14,000 graduate health professional trainees in different stages of their training in various specialties distributed in many healthcare facilities across the country. The vast geographical distribution and diversity of health specialties training programs and activities have remarkably magnified the challenge posed by the pandemic. However, recently, the SCFHS implemented a health training governance reform that granted more autonomy to accredited training facilities in supervising training activities according to preset policies. This autonomy was crucial for mitigating various risks imposed by the pandemic, especially during the extended periods of strict lockdown. The ultimate mandate is a knowledge management primer. We need to once again focus on the basics of human creativity and knowledge creation: Create the content/knowledge; Utilize knowledge; Document knowledge; Communicate knowledge; Enable an integrated training, education, and research ecosystem; Utilize the integrated platform. Our volume is a contribution to the scientific debate for the added value of COVID-19 to our training, education, and research capabilities.     Connectivity and management of technological supplies in educational institutions during COVID 19

    A documentary review was carried out on the production and publication of research papers related to the study of the variable Connectivity and Management of Technological Supplies in Educational Institutions during Covid-19 in Latin America. The purpose of the bibliometric analysis proposed in this document is to know the main characteristics of the volume of publications registered in Scopus database during theperiod between 2020 and the first semester of 2021 in Latin American countries, achieving the identification of 32 publications in total. The information provided by this platform was organized by means of graphs and figures, categorizing the information by Year of Publication, Country of Origin, Area of Knowledge and Type of Publication. Once these characteristics were described, the position of different authors regarding the proposed topic was referenced by means of a qualitative analysis. Among the main findings of this research, it is found that Mexico, with 10 publications, is the Latin American country with the highest production. The area of knowledge that made the greatest contribution to the construction of bibliographic material related to the study of Connectivity and Supply Management was Social Sciences with 19 published documents, and the type of publication that was mostused during the period mentioned above was the journal article, which represents 66% of the total scientific production.Campus At

    Factors Affecting Teacher Readiness for Online Learning (TROL) in Early Childhood Education: TISE and TPACK

    This study aims to find empirical information about the effect of Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK), and Technology Integration Self Efficacy (TISE) on Teacher Readiness for Online Learning (TROL). This study uses a quantitative survey method with path analysis techniques. This study measures the readiness of kindergarten teachers in distance learning in Tanah Datar Regency, West Sumatra Province, Indonesia with a sampling technique using simple random sampling involving 105 teachers. Empirical findings reveal that; 1) there is a direct positive effect of Technology Integration Self Efficacy on Teacher Readiness for Online Learning; 2) there is a direct positive effect of PACK on Teacher Readiness for Online Learning; 3) there is a direct positive effect of Technology Integration Self Efficacy on TPACK. If want to improve teacher readiness for online learning, Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) must be improved by paying attention to Technology Integration Self Efficacy (TISE).     Editorial Note   Editor-in-Chief for Asian Journal of Marketing Management (AJMM), Department of Marketing Management, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka, are delighted to issue Volume 1, Issue II of the Journal. This issue of AJMM disseminates new knowledge through selected six scholarly papers that comprehensively investigate current and critical real marketing scenarios.  The first paper is for investigates the impact of experiential marketing on customer loyalty with the mediating role of customer satisfaction in supermarkets in the western province of Sri Lanka. 375 respondents have been used in the modern trade context and disclosed that the indirect impact created through the mediation effect of customer satisfaction is higher than the direct impact of experiential marketing on customer loyalty by further emphasising the power of customer satisfaction in the modern trade.  The second paper offers insight into the post-pandemic of Covid-19 context in Sri Lanka in terms of investigating factors that influence consumers’ online grocery purchase intention. The use of the SEM model revealed that perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness positively and significantly impact the online purchase intention of consumers. Further, it disclosed that hedonic motivation did not affect the online purchase intention of consumers in this context. Thirdly, the role of interpersonal trust in the relationship between employee innovative behaviour and customer participation is examined with special reference to the hospitality industry in Sri Lanka. Using both customers’ and employees’ perspectives, the study reveals that increasing the level of interpersonal trust between customers and employees may boost employee innovative capacity. The fourth paper is focused on a textual analysis of a commercial and its contribution to Sri Lankan society amid Covid-19. “ITUKAMA’, the “Hero” and the Nation has been studied as the commercial. The textual analysis used here provides a close perception of the commercial and the campaign in relation to the social theories. Factors that influence the usage of e-wallets among millennials in the Sri Lankan context are the focus of the fifth paper. The findings revealed that there are significant strong relationships between the perceived usefulness of e-wallets, perceived ease of use, privacy, and security of e-wallets. Furthermore, it emphasized that the behaviour intention to use e-wallets is the most important aspect that millennials perceive when it comes to e-wallet usage. The sixth paper is to perform a comprehensive study on the impact of social media influencers’ credibility on the purchase intention for beauty care products in Sri Lanka. It discloses that credibility has a positive strong influence towards purchase intention while exploring trustworthiness as the most impactful credibility factor towards purchase intention in this context.     Pattern Recognition and Clustering of Transient Pressure Signals for Burst Location

    [EN] A large volume of the water produced for public supply is lost in the systems between sources and consumers. An important-in many cases the greatest-fraction of these losses are physical losses, mainly related to leaks and bursts in pipes and in consumer connections. Fast detection and location of bursts plays an important role in the design of operation strategies for water loss control, since this helps reduce the volume lost from the instant the event occurs until its effective repair (run time). The transient pressure signals caused by bursts contain important information about their location and magnitude, and stamp on any of these events a specific "hydraulic signature". The present work proposes and evaluates three methods to disaggregate transient signals, which are used afterwards to train artificial neural networks (ANNs) to identify burst locations and calculate the leaked flow. In addition, a clustering process is also used to group similar signals, and then train specific ANNs for each group, thus improving both the computational efficiency and the location accuracy. In this article a case study of using data mining techniques in customer-centric business intelligence for an online retailer is presented. The main purpose of this analysis is to help the business better understand its customers and therefore conduct customer-centric marketing more effectively. On the basis of the Recency, Frequency, and Monetary model, customers of the business have been segmented into various meaningful groups using the k-means clustering algorithm and decision tree induction, and the main characteristics of the consumers in each segment have been clearly identified. Accordingly a set of recommendations is further provided to the business on consumer-centric marketing. SAS Enterprise Guide and SAS Enterprise Miner are used in the present study

    On Weakly Associative Lattices and Near Lattices

    Neuromanagement: the scientific approach to contemporary management

    [EN] The last years have been marked by the attempts to approach the management discipline from a new, innovative perspective, in accordance with the present times, marked by complex challenges and highly increased competition. Given the importance and impact of scientific advances and also the explosion of research in the field of neuroscience, management had to be redefined and its critical variables had to be analyzed from a different perspective. An interdisciplinary vision was needed to enable future researches and explanations of the decision-making processes, leadership practices, change management, innovation, creativity, human resources performance, engagement of people and emotions. Literature review has been made, from the classical management theories and models, the historical concepts of man, to the new, full of perspectives spectrum of neuroscience, brain functioning and, its infinite potential, that opened new horizons, uncovered resources and tools to face the realities of the new business world. The main purpose of this article is to overview the transition from management to neuromanagement, from leadership to neuroleadership, the role and impact of these concepts on the holistic approach of management science.
