A decision-making framework based on the Fermatean hesitant fuzzy distance measure and TOPSIS
A particularly useful assessment tool for evaluating uncertainty and dealing with fuzziness is the Fermatean fuzzy set (FFS), which expands the membership and non-membership degree requirements. Distance measurement has been extensively employed in several fields as an essential approach that may successfully disclose the differences between fuzzy sets. In this article, we discuss various novel distance measures in Fermatean hesitant fuzzy environments as research on distance measures for FFS is in its early stages. These new distance measures include weighted distance measures and ordered weighted distance measures. This justification serves as the foundation for the construction of the generalized Fermatean hesitation fuzzy hybrid weighted distance (DGFHFHWD) scale, as well as the discussion of its weight determination mechanism, associated attributes and special forms. Subsequently, we present a new decision-making approach based on DGFHFHWD and TOPSIS, where the weights are processed by exponential entropy and normal distribution weighting, for the multi-attribute decision-making (MADM) issue with unknown attribute weights. Finally, a numerical example of choosing a logistics transfer station and a comparative study with other approaches based on current operators and FFS distance measurements are used to demonstrate the viability and logic of the suggested method. The findings illustrate the ability of the suggested MADM technique to completely present the decision data, enhance the accuracy of decision outcomes and prevent information loss
Generalization of Picture Fuzzy Matrix
In this paper, we introduce the concept of k-regular Picture Fuzzy Matrix (PiFuM) as a generalization of regular matrix and investigate some basic properties of a k-Regular Picture Fuzzy Matrix (k-RPiFuM). Moreover we analyze the characterization of a matrix for which the regularity index and the index are identical. Furthermore the relation between regular, k-regular and regularity of powers of picture fuzzy matrices are discussed.Publisher's Versio
Analysing the Global and Local Spatial Associations of Medical Resources Across Wuhan City Using POI Data
Background: There is a sharp contradiction between the supply and demand of medical resources in the provincial capitals of China. Understanding the spatial patterns of medical resources and identifying their spatial association and heterogeneity is a prerequisite to ensuring that limited resources are allocated fairly and optimally, which, along with improvements to urban residents’ quality of life, is a key aim of healthy city planning. However, the existing studies on medical resources pattern mainly focus on their spatial distribution and evolution characteristics, and lack the analyses of the spatial co-location between medical resources from the global and local perspectives. It is worth noting that the research on the spatial relationship between medical resources is an important way to realize the spatial equity and operation efficiency of urban medical resources. Methods: Localized colocation quotient (LCLQ) analysis has been used successfully to measure directional spatial associations and heterogeneity between categorical point data. Using point of interest (POI) data and the LCLQ method, this paper presents the first analysis of spatial patterns and directional spatial associations between six medical resources across Wuhan city. Results: (1) Pharmacies, clinics and community hospitals show “multicentre + multicircle”, “centre + axis + dot” and “banded” distribution characteristics, respectively, but specialized hospitals and general hospitals present “single core” and “double core” modes. (2) Overall, medical resources show agglomeration characteristics. The degrees of spatial agglomeration of the five medical resources, are ranked from high to low as follows: pharmacy, clinic, community hospital, special hospital, general hospital and 3A hospital. (3) Although pharmacies, clinics, and community hospitals of basic medical resources are interdependent, specialized hospitals, general hospitals and 3A hospitals of professional medical resources are also interdependent; furthermore, basic medical resources and professional medical resources are mutually exclusive. Conclusions: Government and urban planners should pay great attention to the spatial distribution characteristics and association intensity of medical resources when formulating relevant policies. The findings of this study contribute to health equity and health policy discussions around basic medical services and professional medical services
Investigating the learning potential of the Second Quantum Revolution: development of an approach for secondary school students
In recent years we have witnessed important changes: the Second Quantum Revolution is in the spotlight of many countries, and it is creating a new generation of technologies.
To unlock the potential of the Second Quantum Revolution, several countries have launched strategic plans and research programs that finance and set the pace of research and development of these new technologies (like the Quantum Flagship, the National Quantum Initiative Act and so on).
The increasing pace of technological changes is also challenging science education and institutional systems, requiring them to help to prepare new generations of experts.
This work is placed within physics education research and contributes to the challenge by developing an approach and a course about the Second Quantum Revolution. The aims are to promote quantum literacy and, in particular, to value from a cultural and educational perspective the Second Revolution.
The dissertation is articulated in two parts. In the first, we unpack the Second Quantum Revolution from a cultural perspective and shed light on the main revolutionary aspects that are elevated to the rank of principles implemented in the design of a course for secondary school students, prospective and in-service teachers. The design process and the educational reconstruction of the activities are presented as well as the results of a pilot study conducted to investigate the impact of the approach on students' understanding and to gather feedback to refine and improve the instructional materials.
The second part consists of the exploration of the Second Quantum Revolution as a context to introduce some basic concepts of quantum physics. We present the results of an implementation with secondary school students to investigate if and to what extent external representations could play any role to promote students’ understanding and acceptance of quantum physics as a personal reliable description of the world
Multicriteria Decision Making in Sustainable Tourism and Low-Carbon Tourism Research: A Systematic Literature Review
Multicriteria Decision Making (MCDM) is increasingly being utilized as an analytical research tool for sectors that require decision-making with specific objectives and constraints, such as the tourism industry. Sustainable tourism, which examines the balance of numerous aspects, including stakeholders’ interests, is the critical feature propelling the increased usage of MCDM. This paper explores the use of Multicriteria Decision Making (MCDM) methods applied in studies of sustainable tourism and its derivative term, low-carbon tourism, using a systematic literature review (SLR) search from the Scopus database. The analysis has identified 189 relevant studies published between 1987 to April 2022. After selection, screening, and synthesizing processes, we selected 135 pertinent studies, which were analysed in general descriptive data, citation impacts, geographical categorization, categorization of the methodologies’ objectives, and possible trajectories of similar research in the future. We find that highly cited authors and articles are related to sustainable tourism indicators\u27 development and case studies. Furthermore, most relevant studies are concentrated in Asia and Europe rather than other regions. We also categorize the reviewed studies into six classifications depending on each method\u27s intended usage and further suggest four contexts for the studies’ future trajectory

This fifth volume on Advances and Applications of DSmT for Information Fusion collects theoretical and applied contributions of researchers working in different fields of applications and in mathematics, and is available in open-access. The collected contributions of this volume have either been published or presented after disseminating the fourth volume in 2015 in international conferences, seminars, workshops and journals, or they are new. The contributions of each part of this volume are chronologically ordered.
First Part of this book presents some theoretical advances on DSmT, dealing mainly with modified Proportional Conflict Redistribution Rules (PCR) of combination with degree of intersection, coarsening techniques, interval calculus for PCR thanks to set inversion via interval analysis (SIVIA), rough set classifiers, canonical decomposition of dichotomous belief functions, fast PCR fusion, fast inter-criteria analysis with PCR, and improved PCR5 and PCR6 rules preserving the (quasi-)neutrality of (quasi-)vacuous belief assignment in the fusion of sources of evidence with their Matlab codes.

These contributions are related with decision-making under uncertainty, belief approximations, probability transformations, new distances between belief functions, non-classical multi-criteria decision-making problems with belief functions, generalization of Bayes theorem, image processing, data association, entropy and cross-entropy measures, fuzzy evidence numbers, negator of belief mass, human activity recognition, information fusion for breast cancer therapy, imbalanced data classification, and hybrid techniques mixing deep learning with belief functions as well
Assessment of the agriculture supply chain risks for investments of agricultural small and mediumsized enterprises (SMEs) using the decision support model
A key challenge in responding to the emerging challenges in agri-food
supply chains is encouraging continued new investment. This is related
to the recognition that agricultural production is often a lengthy process
requiring ongoing investments that may not produce expected
returns for a prolonged period, thereby being highly sensitive tomarket
risks. Agricultural productions are generally susceptible to different serious
risks such as crop diseases, weather conditions, and pest infections.
Many practitioners in this domain, particularly small and medium-sized
enterprises (SMEs), have shifted toward digitalization to address such
problems. To help with this situation, the current paper develops an
integrated decision-making framework, with the Pythagorean fuzzy
sets (PFSs), the method for removal effects of criteria (MEREC), the ranksum
(RS) and the gained and Lost dominance score (GLDS) termed as
PF-MEREC-RS-GLDS approach. In this approach, the PF-MEREC-RS
method is applied to compute the subjective and objective weights of
the main risks to assess the agriculture supply chain for investments of
SMEs, and the PF-GLDS model is used to assess the preferences of
enterprises over different the main risks to assess of the agriculture supply
chain for investments of SMEs. An empirical case study is taken to
evaluate the main risks to assess the agriculture supply chain for SME
investments. Also, comparison and sensitivity investigation are made to
show the superiority of the developed framework
AN INTEGRATED FRAMEWORK FOR QUALITY EVALUATION OF FRUITS AND VEGETABLE STORE LOCATED IN THE SUPERMARKET UNDER UTOPIAN ENVIRONMENT
Customer satisfaction depends on the availability of different varieties of fruits and vegetables in a supermarket store as well as the quality of this supermarket store for fruits and vegetables. The store may contain different variety of fruits and vegetables in a utopian environment. Apart from this, there are several quality parameters of a fruits and vegetable store. The quality evaluation of fruits and vegetable stores located in a supermarket is a big challenge for managerial personnel. Here, a quality evaluation framework is proposed for the fruits and vegetable store. The committee of experts identifies and finalizes the quality evaluation parameters through a brainstorming session. Fuzzy AHP is used to calculate the weights of evaluation parameters. A fuzzy TOPSIS generally ranks for the alternative stores. An improved fuzzy TOPSIS, which is named fuzzy k-TOPSIS, is proposed here to evaluate the quality of fruits and vegetable stores located in a supermarket. The fuzzy k-TOPSIS will provide rank as well as classification of the alternatives. A numerical example is demonstrated for a better understanding of the proposed framework
Identification and classification of digital green innovation based on interaction Maclaurin symmetric mean operators by using T-spherical fuzzy information
The digital green concept refers to the devotion to digital technology, i.e., techniques of procedures in the area of ecological or sustainable conservation. It contains leveraging digital techniques, procedures, and new tools to evaluate environmental problems and promote sustainable development. The major influence of this article is to evaluate the selection of the best digital green technology. For this, we aim to propose the idea of Maclaurin symmetric mean (MSM) operators based on interaction operational laws for T-spherical fuzzy (TSF) information, such as TSF interaction weighted averaging (TSFIWA), generalized TSF interaction weighted averaging (GTSFIWA), TSF interaction weighted geometric averaging (TSFIWGA), TSF interaction MSM (TSFIMSM), TSF interaction Bonferroni mean (TSFIBM), and TSF interaction weighted Maclaurin symmetric mean (TSFIWMSM) operators. Some dominant and reliable properties are also invented for evaluation. Moreover, to address the best digital green innovation (DGI) among the top five DGIs, we illustrate the procedure of the multi-attribute decision-making (MADM) technique under the presence of the derived operators. Finally, we demonstrate a numerical example for evaluating the comparative study between the proposed and existing or prevailing operators to enhance the worth of the derived theory
