    Get PDF
For a multiple-attribute group decision-making problem with interval intuitionistic fuzzy sets, a method based on extended TODIM is proposed. First, the concepts of interval intuitionistic fuzzy set and its algorithms are defined, and then the entropy method to determine the weights is put forward. Then, based on the Hamming distance and the Euclidean distance of the interval intuitionistic fuzzy set, both of which have been defined, function mapping is given for the attribute. Finally, to solve multiple-attribute group decision-making problems using interval intuitionistic fuzzy sets, a method based on extended TODIM is put forward, and a case that deals with the site selection of airport terminals is given to prove the method

Nowadays fuzzy approaches gain popularity to model multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) problems emerging in real-life applications. Modern modelling trends in this field include evaluation of the criteria information uncertainty and vagueness. Traditional neutrosophic sets are considered as the effective tool to express uncertainty of the information. However, in some cases, it cannot cover all recently proposed cases of the fuzzy sets. The m-generalized q-neutrosophic sets (mGqNNs) can effectively deal with this situation. The novel MCDM methodology CoCoSomGqNN is presented in this paper. An illustrative example presents the analysis of the effectiveness of different retrofit strategy selection decisions for the application in the civil engineering industry

Interest in group decision-making (GDM) has been increasing prominently over the last decade. Access to global databases, sophisticated sensors which can obtain multiple inputs or complex problems requiring opinions from several experts have driven interest in data aggregation. Consequently, the field has been widely studied from several viewpoints and multiple approaches have been proposed. Nevertheless, there is a lack of general framework. Moreover, this problem is exacerbated in the case of experts’ weighting methods, one of the most widely-used techniques to deal with multiple source aggregation. This lack of general classification scheme, or a guide to assist expert knowledge, leads to ambiguity or misreading for readers, who may be overwhelmed by the large amount of unclassified information currently available. To invert this situation, a general GDM framework is presented which divides and classifies all data aggregation techniques, focusing on and expanding the classification of experts’ weighting methods in terms of analysis type by carrying out an in-depth literature review. Results are not only classified but analysed and discussed regarding multiple characteristics, such as MCDMs in which they are applied, type of data used, ideal solutions considered or when they are applied. Furthermore, general requirements supplement this analysis such as initial influence, or component division considerations. As a result, this paper provides not only a general classification scheme and a detailed analysis of experts’ weighting methods but also a road map for researchers working on GDM topics or a guide for experts who use these methods. Furthermore, six significant contributions for future research pathways are provided in the conclusions. The first author acknowledges support from the Spanish Ministry of Universities [grant number FPU18/01471]. A Decision Method for Online Purchases Considering Dynamic Information Preference Based on Sentiment Orientation Classification and Discrete DIFWA Operators

© 2013 IEEE. Online reviews are crucial for evaluating product features and supporting consumers' purchase decisions. However, as a result of online buying behaviors, consumer habits, and discrete dynamic distribution characteristics of online reviews, and consumers typically randomly choose a limited number of reviews from discrete time frames among all reviews and give more weight to recent review information and less weight to earlier information to support their online purchase decisions; moreover, existing studies have ignored the discrete random dynamic characteristics and dynamic information preferences of consumers. To address this issue, this paper proposes a method based on sentiment orientation classification and discrete DIFWA (DDIFWA) operators for online purchase decisions considering dynamic information preferences. In this method, we transformed review texts from original discrete time slices to discrete random features, extracted product features based on the constructed feature and sentiment dictionaries, and matched pairs of features and sentiment phrases in the dictionaries. We subsequently employed three types of semantic orientation by defining semantic rules to extract the product features of each review. Of note, the semantic orientations were transformed from discrete time to semantic intuitionistic fuzzy numbers and semantic intuitionistic fuzzy information matrixes. Furthermore, we proposed two DDIFWA operators to aggregate the dynamic semantic intuitionistic fuzzy information. Specifically, we obtained the rankings of alternative products and their features to support consumers' purchase decisions using the intuitionistic fuzzy scoring function and the 'vertical projection distance' method. Finally, comparisons and experiments are provided to demonstrate the plausibility of our methods

Some q-rung orthopair fuzzy Muirhead means with their application to multi-attribute group decision making

    Get PDF
Recently proposed q-rung orthopair fuzzy set (q-ROFS) is a powerful and effective tool to describe fuzziness, uncertainty and vagueness. The prominent feature of q-ROFS is that the sum and square sum of membership and non-membership degrees are allowed to be greater than one with the sum of qth power of the membership degree and qth power of the non-membership degree is less than or equal to one. This characteristic makes q-ROFS more powerful and useful than intuitionistic fuzzy set (IFS) and Pythagorean fuzzy set (PFS). The aim of this paper is to develop some aggregation operators for fusing q-rung orthopair fuzzy information. As the Muirhead mean (MM) is considered as a useful aggregation technology which can capture interrelationships among all aggregated arguments, we extend the MM to q-rung orthopair fuzzy environment and propose a family of q-rung orthopair fuzzy Muirhead mean operators. Moreover, we investigate some desirable properties and special cases of the proposed operators. Further, we apply the proposed operators to solve multi-attribute group decision making (MAGDM) problems. Finally, a numerical instance as well as some comparative analysis are provided to demonstrate the validity and superiorities of the proposed method

AN EXTENDED SINGLE-VALUED NEUTROSOPHIC AHP AND MULTIMOORA METHOD TO EVALUATE THE OPTIMAL TRAINING AIRCRAFT FOR FLIGHT TRAINING ORGANIZATIONS

Aircraft’s training is crucial for a flight training organization (FTO). Therefore, an important decision that these organizations should wisely consider the choice of aircraft to be bought among many alternatives. The criteria for evaluating the optimal training aircraft for FTOs are collected based on the survey approach. Single valued neutrosophic sets (SVNS) have the degree of truth, indeterminacy, and falsity membership functions and, as a special case, neutrosophic sets (NS) deal with inconsistent environments. In this regard, this study has extended a single-valued neutrosophic analytic hierarchy process (AHP) based on multi-objective optimization on the basis of ratio analysis plus a full multiplicative form (MULTIMOORA) to rank the training aircraft as the alternatives. Moreover, a sensitivity analysis is performed to demonstrate the stability of the developed method. Finally, a comparison between the results of the developed approach and the existing approaches for validating the developed approach is discussed. This analysis shows that the proposed approach is efficient and with the other methods
