New Trends in Neutrosophic Theory and Applications Volume II

Neutrosophic set has been derived from a new branch of philosophy, namely Neutrosophy. Neutrosophic set is capable of dealing with uncertainty, indeterminacy and inconsistent information. Neutrosophic set approaches are suitable to modeling problems with uncertainty, indeterminacy and inconsistent information in which human knowledge is necessary, and human evaluation is needed. Neutrosophic set theory was proposed in 1998 by Florentin Smarandache, who also developed the concept of single valued neutrosophic set, oriented towards real world scientific and engineering applications. Since then, the single valued neutrosophic set theory has been extensively studied in books and monographs introducing neutrosophic sets and its applications, by many authors around the world. Also, an international journal - Neutrosophic Sets and Systems started its journey in 2013. Single valued neutrosophic sets have found their way into several hybrid systems, such as neutrosophic soft set, rough neutrosophic set, neutrosophic bipolar set, neutrosophic expert set, rough bipolar neutrosophic set, neutrosophic hesitant fuzzy set, etc. Successful applications of single valued neutrosophic sets have been developed in multiple criteria and multiple attribute decision making. This second volume collects original research and application papers from different perspectives covering different areas of neutrosophic studies, such as decision making, graph theory, image processing, probability theory, topology, and some theoretical papers. This volume contains four sections: DECISION MAKING, NEUTROSOPHIC GRAPH THEORY, IMAGE PROCESSING, ALGEBRA AND OTHER PAPERS. First paper (Pu Ji, Peng-fei Cheng, Hongyu Zhang, Jianqiang Wang. Interval valued neutrosophic Bonferroni mean operators and the application in the selection of renewable energy) aims to construct selection approaches for renewable energy considering the interrelationships among criteria. To do that, Bonferroni mean (BM) and geometric BM (GBM) are employed

A New Type of Compositive Information Entropy for IvIFS and Its Applications

    Get PDF
We first show the interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy entropy which reflects intuitionism and fuzziness of interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy set (IvIFS) based on interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy cross-entropy. As for intuitionism and fuzziness of IvIFS, we propose interval-valued intuitionistic entropy and interval-valued fuzzy entropy, respectively. Furthermore, we establish the interval-valued span entropy describing the uncertainty of membership degree and nonmembership degree and show some concrete measure formulas. Combining intuitionistic factor, fuzzy factor, and span factor, we ultimately put forward the axiomatic definition of the compositive entropy and give a measure formula of compositive entropy. In addition, the effectiveness of the compositive entropy measure is illuminated by comparison with other entropy measures. Furthermore, the compositive entropy is applied to multiple attributesā€™ decision-making by using the weighted correlation coefficient between IvIFSs and pattern recognition by a similarity measure transformed from the compositive entropy

A novel method for interval-value intuitionistic fuzzy multicriteria decision-making problems with immediate probabilities based on OWA distance operators

    Get PDF
The goal of this work is to develop a novel decision-making method which can solve some complex decision problems that include the following three-aspect information: (1) information represented in the form of interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy values (IVIFVs) not only intuitionistic fuzzy values (IFVs), (2) the probability information and the weighted information, and (3) the importance degree of each concept in the process of decision-making. Firstly, by integrating OWA operator, probabilistic weight (PW), and individual distance of two IVIFNs in the same formulation, we introduce two new distance operators named PIVIFOWAD operator and IPIVIFOWAD operator, respectively. Secondly, satisfaction degree of an alternative is proposed based on the positive ideal IVIFS and the negative ideal IVIFS and applied to MCDM. Finally, we use an illustrative example to show the feasibility and validity of the new method by comparing with the other existing methods
