Fabric-GC: A Blockchain-based Gantt Chart System for Cross-organizational Project Management
Large-scale production is always associated with more and more development
and interaction among peers, and many fields achieve higher economic benefits
through project cooperation. However, project managers in the traditional
centralized approach cannot rearrange their activities to cross-organizational
project management. Thanks to its characteristics, the Blockchain can represent
a valid solution to the problems mentioned above. In this article, we propose
Fabric-GC, a Blockchain-based Gantt chart system. Fabric-GC enables to realize
secure and effective cross-organizational cooperation for project management,
providing access control to multiple parties for project visualization.
Compared with other solutions, the proposed system is versatile, as it can be
applied to project management in different fields and achieve effective and
agile scheduling. Experimental results show that Fabric-GC achieves stable
performance in large-scale request and processing distributed environments,
where the data synchronization speed of the consortium chain reached four times
faster than a public chain, achieving faster data consistency

This report deliberated about the project work and the understanding of the
chosen topic, which is BPMA (Burst Pressure Mobile Application) as
Commercial Steel Pipe Burst Pressure Tools for Chemical Engineering
Department, entitled Burst Pressure Mobile Application. A research conducted,
mobile technology plays major role in recent education trend nowadays. For
Generation Y and Generation Millennium, mobile technologies such as mobile
phones, smart phones, tablets and laptop create a bridge over the educational gap
that teachers, parents and adults left behind because younger generation nowadays
have become more independent to learn things for the future. The difficulty of
associating the technology and life has been one of the key factors for children to
catch-up with current lifestyle. In addition, nowadays many mobile application
was developed to make the way of learning easier and effective to the students.
Besides, the mobile apps help student to learn fast and help them to solve their
problem. In engineering fields, research has shown that the allowable pressure and
burst pressure in pipe is very important for safety purposes and to avoid any failure
occur. Besides that, the pressure could be considered countenance of the maximum
pressure which something can sustain before it will break or burst. Pressure and
burst pressure in pipe is very important in designing any system especially in Oil
and Gas Industry. Hence, there is a need to develop Burst Pressure Mobile
Application. This mobile application will help all the users – Lecturers,
Engineering Students, even Engineers, Oil and Gas Services Company, Pipe’s
suppliers, Technologist and Researcher to determine allowable pressure and burst
pressure in commercial steel pipe in easier way. Additionally, it has been
acknowledged that there are no any mobile application to determine allowable
pressure and burst pressure in commercial steel pipe that can be used in the Google
Apps Store, while instantaneously providing motivation and courage by creating
this mobile application it will provide a great solution for the concern arise. There
are many mobile applications to determine pressure in pipe for the user, yet there
is no any mobile application to determine allowable pressure and burst pressure
specific in commercial steel pipe. The objective of this project is to provide a
simple mobile application to calculate the allowable pressure and burst pressure
in commercial steel pipe and the output of the calculation will determine whethe
Hotel and Flight Online Booking System for UTP Human Resourse Department
This report present a new developed web based system that help to solve the tasks of
Human Resource and Administration department (HRMA) of Universiti Teknologi
PETRONAS (UTP) in the bookings of hotel and flight of its staffs. Booking of hotel or
flight are very common tasks that need to be done by the department almost everyday.
However current systems are manual systems and not being integrated yet. These will
lead to inefficiency of data management especially in monitoring the status of requests.
This report will gives an overview of the underpinning project developed especially in
its objectives, problem encountered, scope of study, methodology as well as the findings
in developing this project. This project developed purposely to enable staffs to book
hotel rooms and flight tickets as requested, generate guarantee letter automatically, send
notification to respected endorsers, able to store and retrieve data and allow applicants to
access and request the system via personal computer or mobile device by eliminating
manual works and increase the flexibility of the system itself. By using Prototyping
Methodology as its methodology, this system will be developed to use case-based
reasoning method in order for it to complete the task independently. The case-based
reasoning functionality embedded in the system provides the system and its users with
the options to review past similar request and reuse the solution for the new request to
be handled. A realistic case demonstrates an idea on how the overall system will help
HRMA staff to reduce time needed for every request to be handled. This approach shall
help HRMA to have a better enhancement in their database management system.
Implementation of this new system has been proven reduced the time taken needed for
every cases handled by HRMA staff. It also helps improve the efficiency and
effectiveness in storing the data into this structured system as time taken to apply and
endorse can be reduced. Besides speed up the overall process and increase its flexibility,
paper usage also can be reduced as the no more hardcopy form being involved. Testing
of the project shows that the system able to provide a desired solution which allow users
to book the hotel and flight according to their needs. This shows that the developed
system will be having net advantages once implemented

Geographic Information System; Route Tracking System Using Personal Digital Assistant (PDA)
Nowadays the mobile mapping which incorporation with handheld PDA devices
for field data collection is rapidly expanding it wings of Geographic Information
System (GIS). While the wireless technology is increasing through time, the usage
of mobile GIS has become a very useful tool in any organizations and companies.
The introduction of mobile technology actually has resulted in the fundamental
paradigm which shifts into the integration of a centralized GIS database engine
and other web presentation formats with the mobile data collection units. For
mobile mapping, the lightweight GIS application ArcPad and small portable
computers such as for example; the Compaq PocketPC are a viable option for field
GIS. ESRI® ArcPad™ software is a mobile mapping and geographic information
system (GIS) technology. Mobile computing is creating fundamental changes in the
way we utilize geography with the ability to bring your work with you and interact
directly with the world around you. Mobile GIS comprises the integration of four
technologies: GIS, lightweight hardware, the global positioning system (GPS), and
wireless communication. Here it emphasis the research on the GIS, more on
focusing on the GIS in the mobile environment. It presents the idea of applying
GIS concept in tracking route where mobile GIS will combine up with GPS as a
tracking movement coordinate tool. The Sashimi Model is used as a guidance to
monitor the project progress. The methodology is suitable as it stresses on both
side which is the requirement side and the implementation side. A simulation of
route tracking system would be presented as the findings of the while research.
Further more the simulation present the idea of the real-time tracking the route
using data output from the GPS receiver
Development of Database and Web Site for D3Multisport
Before this project, D3Multisport.com did not have a software application to track and monitor personal and progress information on athletes training for triathlon events. The previous process was manual, and although it helped provide a training schedule for an athlete it required the data be updated by hand. The process of developing a training program on an excel spreadsheet provided a good basis for the athlete to start the program, but was not suited to make dynamic adjustments if not optimally suited for the athlete. The application created in this project was designed to keep a coach updated on the progress of an athlete. If necessary, the coach can make modifications to the athletes training program in order to work on any weakness the athlete may be showing. It is important that both coach and athlete have access to updated information related to the training program. The previous process did not provide this requirement because the coach and athlete were not present with each other at all times. Another problem with the previous process was that both coach and athlete might wish to add training criteria to the training program. The application now provides this functionality. The initial prototype used Microsoft\u27s Access technology with Data Access Pages (DAP). This ensured the web site had the necessary work flow the users were expecting and allowed them to update information to a database. Once the prototype was approved, Microsoft .NET ASP technologies were used to create the web site. The Access database was reverse engineered into a Microsoft MS SQL Server database. Both the coach and athlete are now able to access the same database via a web browser. A central computer acts as the web server providing access to the central database and downloads web pages. This enables the coach to keep abreast of the athlete and provide updated real-time progress information. Providing a web interface to a central database allows the athlete to record current data on a daily basis and give the coach the ability to analyze this data and make any changes necessary, keeping the athlete on track
