A modularized electronic payment system for agent-based e-commerce
With the explosive growth of the Internet, electronic-commerce (e-commerce) is an increasingly important segment of commercial activities on the web. The Secure Agent Fabrication, Evolution & Roaming (SAFER) architecture was proposed to further facilitate e-commerce using agent technology. In this paper, the electronic payment aspect of SAFER will be explored. The Secure Electronic Transaction (SET) protocol and E-Cash were selected as the bases for the electronic payment system implementation. The various modules of the payment system and how they interface with each other are shown. An extensible implementation done using JavaTM will also be elaborated. This application incorporates agent roaming functionality and the ability to conduct e-commerce transactions and carry out intelligent e-payment procedures
Arsitektural Dan Pemrosesan Jaringan Menggunakan Agen Cerdas Mobile
The purpose of this research is to learn architecture and process-networking system in distributed computational using mobile intelligent agent. This technology attract people in order to develop system potential on distributed system, intelligent agent, intelligent distributed and e-commerce. In network processing, this method is used to reduce the network resource needed, asynchronous execution and effectively automatic system. This network protocol is one of network resources, which determines the structure of mobile agent hierarchy in migration agent process, as transmission data need. In wireless technology based the agent is used to control mobility in communication line. Mobile intelligent agent used to solve the data communication problem such as in system boundary limitedness and the speed of processing data
Intelligent Agent-Based Data Mining in Electronic Markets
The advent of web-based electronic commerce has brought a tremendous increase in the volume of “collectable data” that can be mined for valuable managerial knowledge. Utilizing intelligent agents can enhance the data mining procedures that are employed in this process. We focus on the role of data mining and intelligent agent technology in the B2C and B2B e- commerce models. By identifying the complex nature of information flows between the vast numbers of economic entities, we identify opportunities for applying data mining that can lead ultimately to knowledge discovery
Secure agent data integrity shield
In the rapidly expanding field of E-Commerce, mobile agent is the emerging technology that addresses the requirement of intelligent filtering/processing of information. This paper will address the area of mobile agent data integrity protection. We propose the use of Secure Agent Data Integrity Shield (SADIS) as a scheme that protects the integrity of data collected during agent roaming. With the use of a key seed negotiation protocol and integrity protection protocol, SADIS protects the secrecy as well as the integrity of agent data. Any illegal data modification, deletion, or insertion can be detected either by the subsequent host or the agent butler. Most important of all, the identity of each malicious host can be established. To evaluate the feasibility of our design, a prototype has been developed using Java. The result of benchmarking shows improvement both in terms of data and time efficiency
E-Consultation for Skincare Products via Intelligent Agent Technology
Intelligent Agent technologies are becoming viable solutions to many problems related to
E-commerce technologies that are not as user friendly as they seem. The skincare
industry is continuously serving customer through consultation by humans. However,
human beings have limited capability in fulfilling one's request. With these being said,
this Final Year Project focuses on finding an intelligent agent that provides electronic
consultation for the skincare industry. The main objective of this project is to create a
flexible consultation environment for skincare's customers. This will result in a higher
level of satisfaction and experience just like the current system. The methodology used
for this project is the waterfall development-based technique which comprises of
requirements analysis and definition, system design, implementation and testing,
verification and maintenance. The tools used are Macromedia Dreamweaver MX, Adobe
Photoshop, Pandorabots free web hosting, Oddcast Inc.'s VHost™, AIML, Apache Web
Server and PHP. Based on the work carried out, it is found that although the usage of
agent technology is a natural evolution of e-commerce, to effectively build and deliver an
agent technology into an e-commerce websites requires rethinking and re-evaluating the
human-computer interaction in the new environment. Second round of surveys were
conducted to help determining whether users will be interested in the technology. It is
found that the conceptof an Agent Technology might be an interest to users, provided it
can assist them in consultation process. Agent Technology will be even easily acceptable
if it is able to provide almost the same consultation experience based on the current
consultation style, and able to provide an interactive discussion environment to users.
Those who disagree prefer to stick to current style or might reject technology changes.
Users are very concern with the reliability of the system as this will be the main factor
whether the information provided by the agent technology is reliable or not. As a
conclusion, more researches are expected to be carried out by technologists to further
understand the acceptance on an agent technology and thus implementing it in various
industries throughout the world
DEVELOPING AGENT TOOLS AND DECISION SUPPORT SYSTEMS FOR E-COMMERCE
Despite the explosive growth ofelectronic commerce and the rapid increasing number of
customer who use interactive multimedia, such as the World Wide Web for purchase
information search andonline shopping, very little is known about how customers make
purchase decision in such settings. Thus, in the rush to open their website, e-commerce
sites too often fail to support consumer decision making and search, resulting in a loss of
sales and the loss of loyal customers. To overcome this weakness in the traditional ecommerce
website, this project reviews the open problems that e-commerce website
poses to the framework and to existing search engine technology for online shopping.
Besides that, this research also involves design of the methodology for the development
in supporting decision support making systems. Generally, the development of this ecommerce
site showed that, the traditional e-commerce applications do need to be
improving by integrating anappropriate decision making system byusing an Intelligent
Agent to aid the customers in their purchase decision-making process. Scope of study
will focus into Business-to-Customer (B2C) models. In depth research will be
conducted: survey, interviews, self-assessment, and online researches and from other
written materials. The result can be determine when the developed e-commerce site used
extensively onthe Web, that perform tasks such as retrieving and delivering information
and automating repetitive tasks bythedeveloping Intelligent Agent software or services.
It also used as tools to track Webbehaviorwhich they can even "watch" as user's surfing
site and recordhow often they visit certain sites. Later, they can be used to automatically
download the favorite sites, let them know whentheir favorite site has been updated, and
even tailor specific pages to suit their tastes
A Multi-Agent Approach Towards Collaborative Supply Chain Management
Supply chain collaboration has become a critical success factor for supply chain management and effectively improves the performance of organizations in various industries. Supply chain collaboration builds on information sharing, collaborative planning and execution. Information technology is an important enabler of collaborative supply chain management. Many information systems have been developed for supply chain management from legacy systems and enterprise resource planning (ERP) into the newly developed advanced planning and scheduling system (APS) and e-commerce solutions. However, these systems do not provide sufficient support to achieve collaborative supply chain. Recently, intelligent agent technology and multi-agent system (MAS) have received a great potential in supporting transparency in information flows of business networks and modeling of the dynamic supply chain for collaborative supply chain planning and execution. This paper explores the similarities between multi-agent system and supply chain system to justify the use of multi-agent technology as an appropriate approach to support supply chain collaboration. In addition, the framework of the multi-agent-based collaborative supply chain management system will be presented
Augmenting the distribution of goods from warehouses in dynamic demand environments using intelligent agents
Warehouses are being impacted by increasing e-commerce and omni-channel commerce. Future innovation may predominantly involve automation but many warehouses remain manually operated. The golden rule of material handling is smooth product flow, but there are day-to-day operational issues that occur in the warehouse that can impact this and order fulfilment. Standard operational process is paramount to warehouse operational control but inflexible processes don’t allow for a dynamic response to real-time operational constraints. The growth of IoT sensor and data analytics technology provide new opportunities for designing warehouse management systems that detect and reorganise around real-time constraints to mitigate the impact of day-to-day warehouse operational issues. This paper presents an intelligent agent framework for basic warehouse management systems that is distributed, is structured around operational constraints and includes the human operator at operational and decision support levels. An agent based simulation was built to demonstrate the viability of the framework
Intelligent Agent from a Legal Perspective: a Technical Evolution or a Reversal of the Rules?
The new technology has generated a very complicated computer program called the Intelligent Agent . At this moment, this program can be deemed one of the most important achievements that information technology has reached. This is because it can work independently when fulfilling the desires of its user. Therefore, it is expected that it will play a great role in enhancing the freedom of trade and easing of the communication throughout the world.
A considerable debate has been going on since the emergence of this new technology, which may cause to change the original concept of the contract. The characteristics of the Intelligent Agent , namely: the independence, the initiative, the intelligence, and the creativity have qualified the computer to play a positive role in the e-commerce instead of the negative role attached to it for many decades. By virtue of this program, the computer can now act like human beings, viz; it can obtain information relating to the items and services on which the user wants to contract, and then enter into negotiations for this purpose, and finally contract on his behalf. These abilities have pushed one to ask: what is the Intelligent Agent”? What is its legal nature? And, to what extent the contract it concludes is valid?
In this study, the above questions will be answered so as to know whether the Intelligent Agent is an agent in reality or not, and what the possibility of granting it the legal personality is. This will give us the opportunity to discover whether this technology will have a strong effect at the legal level, especially as to the notion of contract freedom and the recognition of legal personality to things that are neither human beings nor collections of human beings or proprietie
