Training computer personnel : the problem and possible solution
This document addresses a very serious problem; our present methods of training computer specialists, of all types and levels are inadequate for the task. We are producing too few experts and projections indicate an ever greater gap between supply and demand. This shortage affects computer scientists from B. Nonverbal Communications: A Commentary on Body Language in the Aviation Teaching Environment
Some time ago, while employed in the field of labor relations, as a chief negotiator for both a major and a national airline, one of the authors wrote an article on the use of and merits of \u27body language\u27 or kinesics in the negotiation process. The substance of the message conveyed observations of common characteristics and positions displayed when different negotiating tactics are employed. More recently both authors have assumed positions in the secondary aviation teaching environment. In each of their respective roles interaction with students displays many of the characteristics of the negotiation process. From the bargaining table to the classroom, body postures bear striking resemblance in the presence of an unwritten/unspoken message. The author\u27s opine being ignorant or failing to understand rudimentary body language cues can work against an educator\u27s ability to convey the message he/she desires to express. The fundamental rationale behind an educational experience is the transfer of information. This paper suggests efficient and effective enhancement supports verbal communication with body language. Nonverbal behavior, on the part of the instructor and student, provides fertile ground toward effective and efficient information transference
Evaluation of the training and continuing education for employment as an emergency medical technician - ambulance
The training of most Emergency Medical Technicians - Ambulance today was conceived in the 1960s using the medical model of diagnoses and treatment. The demands upon the occupation by society, however, go beyond the limits of the original medical model. The medical model, for Emergency Medical Technicians - Ambulance, ignores interpersonal contact, complications caused by the emotions and values of both the Emergency Medical Technicians - Ambulance and the victim, and the advent of death as a factor in job element problem solving; This evaluative research study diverged from the usual attempt to measure performance standards based upon the application of knowledge, skills and attitudes derived from the training. Rather, it demonstrated a method of determining the needs of training by comparing the opinions of persons working on the job and the quantitative evidence of what records indicate the worker is actually doing;Using the principle of canonical correlation, the study statistically compared training outputs (Knowledge) against the opinions of Emergency Medical Technicians - Ambulance (Attitudes) and empirical data taken from records of victims (Behavior) across a sample of all behaviors which constitute the population of occupational elements. The evidence indicated that there is no significant correlation in this comparison. It further indicated that less than one-half the requirements of the job are being met by basic training. The study did show, however, there is a correlation between the attitudes of Emergency Medical Technicians - Ambulance and behaviors taken from the victim\u27s record; The study also tested the independence of occupational elements required to accomplish the work based upon the geographical location of Emergency Medical Technician - Ambulance. The conclusions of these tests indicate that the job elements are dependent upon the geographical location

E-Readiness Competencies of MSU-Naawan Professors and Students' Perceptions on Online Classes amidst COVID-19
The purpose of this study was to identify the professors' e-readiness competencies in implementing online classes in terms of course design, course communication, time management, and technical competence. Also, it aimed to determine the students' perception towards the online class in terms of instructional design and delivery on students, teacher roles on students, and class organization and format. Pure descriptive analysis was used in analyzing the data, such as mean and percentage distribution. Both adapted and adopted survey questionnaires were used to address this research's problem, and these were distributed to the respondents either via online and phone call. Results showed that the senior high school department professors were good enough to use online platforms with an overall mean of 1.76, which implies that most of them are technically sound. Students have agreed that their professors are satisfied with instructional design and delivery, teacher roles, and class organization and format. The overall mean of 3.60 of students' perception towards online class implies that students have perceived their teacher's teaching way amidst pandemics is still promoting students' desire to learn, which engaged them to become more interactive in various activities. Because there are observable few numbers that can be seen in the results indicating that the teachers are not proficient enough in digital literacy, it is highly recommended to get the respondents' demographic profile in terms of age and training attended about computer literacy. It is also recommended that the professors' e-readiness be correlated to students' perception of the online class
