Learning Content Management Systems
The paper explains the evolution of e-Learning and related concepts and tools and its connection with other concepts such as Knowledge Management, Human Resources Management, Enterprise Resource Planning, and Information Technology. The paper also distinguished Learning Content Management Systems from Learning Management Systems and Content Management Systems used for general web-based content. The newest Learning Content Management System, very expensive and yet very little implemented is one of the best tools that helps us to cope with the realities of the 21st Century in what learning concerns. The debates over how beneficial one or another system is for an organization, can be driven by costs involved, efficiency envisaged, and availability of the product on the market.Knowledge Management (KM), Human Resources Management (HRM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), e-Learning, Learning Management Systems (LMS), Content Management Systems (CMS), Learning Content Management Systems (LCMS), Information Technology (IT).
Assisting elements of distant learning at the School of Business Administration in Karvina
Distant learning with the support of modern information and communicative technologies is a frequently discussed field at all progressive institutions of education nowadays. Today there is a range of software assistance for the creation of on-line courses and education management by means of internet. It is, however, necessary that the information systems intended for the creation of learning support and learning management, including all the necessary feedback, did not exist as isolated in order that they employ and provide data reversely during their mutual interaction which are contained respectively necessary for work of other information wholes such as information systems for the support of university management in all the fields of its activities.Distant learning, e-learning, pedagogical information system, learning managing system, subsystems, VIRTUNIV seminars
Knowledge Management in E-Learning Systems
Current knowledge management systems focus on knowledge acquisition, storage, retrieval and maintenance. Yet, for that knowledge to be operational, to become knowledge rather than information, requires internalization and learning. E- learning systems and courseware, on the other hand, are all too often monolithic and inert and fail to facilitate the development and sharing of knowledge. In this paper we discuss some aspects about knowledge providing and present our research in this field through an e-learning system for major risks management.Knowledge, management, e-learning, information, data, simulation, case study
From e-learning to integrated learning architectures. A novel approach to learning management in corporate and higher education contexts
E-learning has taken an important role in the work of human resources departments, thus increasing both the importance of, and the demands placed upon, learning management processes and technologies. High-performance learning platforms enable a wide range of functionalities and process choice. In addition, they need interfaces for integration into other corporate IT systems. And finally, corporate learning solutions also need to reach all relevant partners who might participate in learning and information exchange processes. Providing examples from the architecture of the leading European learning management system CLIXďż˝, the article outlines the conceptual, technical, process-related and organizational framework for a successful implementation of viable and sustainable learning solutions in companies, higher education and public organizations.corporate learning, E-learning, learning management, management education, performance management.
Model Manajemen E-learning di Perguruan Tinggi
Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is growing fast included in the case of learning management based on ICT. Learning management based on ICT which is being trend namely e-learning management. E-learning management has implemented to educational institutions. Based on the background, thus emerged general problem ”how e-learning management at university can increase quality college students' learning outcome quality”.The effectiveness and efficiency of E-learning management at university can be measured from some steps as follows: 1) Policy in conducting e-learning system, 2) University Lecturers' understanding on e-learning technology, 3) College student's understanding on e-learning technology, 4) University lecturer's readiness toward learning process by using e-learning system, 5) University college students' readiness toward learning process by using e-learning system, 6) infrastructure readiness of e-learning system such as consist of: hardware (LAN dan WAN), software, brainware, 7) the system of human resources counseling supporting e-learning system, 8) funding of e-learning system, 9) learning process by using e-learning system at university, 10) controlling system toward the learning process by using e-learning system at university, 11) the impact of learning process by e-learning toward the increasing of college students' learning outcome quality
Challenges of E-Learning Management Within the Croatian Higher Education System
For the past few years, e-learning has become synonymous with different learning and teaching techniques based on information and communication technologies. Generally speaking, elearning has been increasingly present in the Croatian higher education system, gradually changing its traditional character. However, this modern learning and teaching concept has not been equally accepted throughout student population. There are numerous reasons for this state of affairs, one of the most important ones being disproportion, i.e. unequal pace of its introduction at different university and vocational studies in Croatia. These discrepancies cannot be eliminated without active support by all the actors participating in the education process. The greatest responsibility, nevertheless, lies with the people directly in charge of the e-learning process. To fulfil its task more efficiently, e-learning management requires relevant information on different aspects of its usage, as well as its acceptance among students. With this aim in mind, we conducted a survey of student attitudes at Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek. This paper presents the results of this research, which are based on application of various statistical methods, primarily cluster analysis.e-learning management, attitudes of students, relevant information, cluster analysis
The role of quality factors on learning management systems adoption from instructors' perspectives
Learning management systems have been largely used in universities for teaching, student learning, curriculum,
and staff development. However, just providing higher education institutions with a learning management
system does not guarantee a success. Quality assurance of these systems has become a central concern for
practitioners, researchers, and system providers. In this context, this empirical research investigates quality
factors that can contribute to learning management system adoption. In addition, the study developed a research
model based on TAM and information systems success model by integrating associated quality indicators
inclusive of system quality, service quality, information quality, and instructor quality. Quantitative data using
questionnaire gathered from 365 lecturers in Palestine universities were inspected to evaluate the influence of
various constructs on lecturers’ adoption of learning management systems using structural equation modeling
analysis technique. The research findings show that information quality, system quality, service quality, and
instructors’ quality can contribute to e-learning management system adoption with regards to their beliefs. This
Research contributes positively to the limited literature on assessing the quality predictors of learning
management system adoption
