Terminal semantics for codata types in intensional Martin-L\"of type theory
In this work, we study the notions of relative comonad and comodule over a
relative comonad, and use these notions to give a terminal coalgebra semantics
for the coinductive type families of streams and of infinite triangular
matrices, respectively, in intensional Martin-L\"of type theory. Our results

Dependent Inductive and Coinductive Types are Fibrational Dialgebras
In this paper, I establish the categorical structure necessary to interpret
dependent inductive and coinductive types. It is well-known that dependent type
theories \`a la Martin-L\"of can be interpreted using fibrations. Modern
theorem provers, however, are based on more sophisticated type systems that
allow the definition of powerful inductive dependent types (known as inductive
families) and, somewhat limited, coinductive dependent types. I define a class
of functors on fibrations and show how data type definitions correspond to
initial and final dialgebras for these functors. This description is also a
proposal of how coinductive types should be treated in type theories, as they
appear here simply as dual of inductive types. Finally, I show how dependent
data types correspond to algebras and coalgebras, and give the correspondence

Accessing numeric data via flags and tags: A final report on a real world experiment
An experiment is reported which: extended the concepts of data flagging and tagging to the aerospace scientific and technical literature; generated experience with the assignment of data summaries and data terms by documentation specialists; and obtained real world assessments of data summaries and data terms in information products and services. Inclusion of data summaries and data terms improved users' understanding of referenced documents from a subject perspective as well as from a data perspective; furthermore, a radical shift in document ordering behavior occurred during the experiment toward proportionately more requests for data-summarized items
Interactive Programs and Weakly Final Coalgebras in Dependent Type Theory (Extended Version)
We reconsider the representation of interactive programs in dependent type theory that the authors proposed in earlier papers. Whereas in previous versions the type of interactive programs was introduced in an ad hoc way, it is here defined as a weakly final coalgebra for a general form of polynomial functor. The are two versions: in the first the interface with the real world is fixed, while in the second the potential interactions can depend on the history of previous interactions. The second version may be appropriate for working with specifications of interactive programs. We focus on command-response interfaces, and consider both client and server programs, that run on opposite sides such an interface. We give formation/introduction/elimination/equality rules for these coalgebras. These are explored in two dimensions: coiterative versus corecursive, and monadic versus non-monadic. We also comment upon the relationship of the corresponding rules with guarded induction. It turns out that the introduction rules are nothing but a slightly restricted form of guarded induction. However, the form in which we write guarded induction is not recursive equations (which would break normalisation -- we show that type checking becomes undecidable), but instead involves an elimination operator in a crucial way
