This study examines the Role of The Principal as a Leader in Improving the  Quality of Teacher Performance at Yabis Bontang Integrated Islamic Elementary School.  The type of research used is qualitatively descriptive this research focuses on the Role of the Principal as a Leader in Improving the Quality of Teacher Performance at the Yabis Bontang Integrated Islamic Elementary School. Research implementation techniques are observation, interviews, and documentation. The research data source is the primary data source of 2 people and the informant is as many as 6 people. Meanwhile, data analysis consists of collecting data, reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions.  The results of the study show that the role of the principal can improve the quality of teachers by seeking teachers to take part in training or workshops in improving their abilities in order to improve the quality of learning. The role of the principal can also be carried out by rewarding teachers so that teachers are more motivated in the learning process. The efforts carried out by the principal are to set an example to the teacher so that the teacher has a model in the implementation of his responsible work

Beyond the Kannisto-Thatcher Database on Old Age Mortality: an assessment of data quality at advanced ages

The old age population in developed countries has been increasing remarkably, yet internationally comparable high quality data on oldest-old mortality remain relatively scarce. The Kannisto-Thatcher Old Age Mortality Database (KTD) is a unique source providing uniformly recalculated old-age mortality data for 35 countries. Our study addresses a number of data quality issues relevant to population and death statistics at the most advanced ages. Following previous studies by Väinö Kannisto, we apply the same set of measures. This allows us to identify dubious or irregular mortality patterns. Deviations such as this often suggest that the data quality has serious problems. We update previously published findings by extending the analyses made so far to thirty five countries and by adding data on longer historical periods. In addition, we propose a systematic classification of country- and period-specific data, thus simultaneously accounting for each indicator of data quality. We apply conventional procedures of hierarchical cluster analysis to distinguish four data quality clusters (best data quality, acceptable data quality, conditionally acceptable quality, and weak quality). We show that the reliability of old-age mortality estimates has been improving in time. However, the mortality indicators for the most advanced ages of a number of countries, such as Chile, Canada, and the USA should be treated with caution even for the most recent decade. Canada, Ireland, Finland, Lithuania, New Zealand (Non-Maori), Norway, Portugal, Spain, and the USA have particular problems in their historical data series. After having compared the KTD with official data, we conclude that the methods used for extinct and almost extinct generations produce more accurate population estimates than those published by national statistical offices. The most reliable official data come from the countries with fully functioning population registers.World, data evaluation, mortality, old age

This study aims to describe the form of teacher activity and describe the implementation of the teacher's role in improving the quality of school management. The subjects of this study were the school principal, teachers, and students at SD Muhammadiyah Boarding School Prambanan. Data collection methods using interview, observation, and documentation techniques. Data analysis techniques using interactive technologies. The data validity used methodological triangulation and source triangulation. The results showed that the role of teachers in improving the quality of school management includes the role as a source of learning there is mastery of the material, as a teacher facilitator using the media, as a manager by creating optimal learning conditions, as a demonstrator by giving suitable examples to students, as a guide by recognizing the abilities and potential of students, as a motivator by providing motivation, as an evaluator by providing an evaluation. Every morning, elementary school teachers from Muhammadiyah Boarding School motivate character-building programs. Each class has its target to shape the character of students through daily habituation that did with the teacher

This study aims to analyze the success of managing the teacher mobilization program in remote areas in improving the quality of education in Mappi District. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The data were collected using interviews, documentation studies, and observation. Data validation was carried out using technical triangulation and source triangulation. The data analysis technique used refers to the Miles and Hurben model, which includes four stages, namely: (1) data collection, (2) data reduction, (3) data display, and (4) conclusion. The results of this study are that the implementation of the teacher mobilization program in remote areas based on research has gone quite well; in this case, the GPDT qualification target is still not by the initial plan based on the report on recruitment activities made by the UGM Papua Task Force; there are still many teachers who are placed not by the qualifications of the majors of teacher expertise. It was concluded that the program's success in improving the quality of education was effective in producing quality graduates in quantity, which increased every year, and the HDI and GPA/IPM scores increased every year from 2016 to 2021

Telecommuting and environmental policy - lessons from the Ecommute program

In 1999 US Congress passed the National Air Quality and Telecommuting Act. This Act established pilot telecommuting programs (Ecommute) in five major US metropolitan areas with the express purpose of studying the feasibility of addressing air quality concerns through telecommuting. The major goal of the Ecommute program was to examine whether a particular type of economic incentive, tradable emissions credits from telecommuting, represents a viable strategy for reducing vehicle miles traveled (VMT) and improving air quality. Under the Ecommute program, companies could generate emissions credits by reducing the VMT of their workforce through telework programs. They would then be able to sell the credits to firms that needed the reductions to comply with air quality regulations. The paper provides analysis of the results of Ecommute program. First, we establish some context for evaluating whether the envisioned trading scheme represents a feasible approach to reducing mobile source emissions and promoting telecommuting and review the limited experience with mobile source emissions trading programs. We find that from a regulatory perspective, the most substantial drawback to such a program is its questionable environmental integrity, resulting from difficulties in designing a sufficiently rigorous quantification protocols to accurately measure the emissions reductions from telecommuting. And perhaps more importantly, such a program is not likely to be cost-effective since the emissions reductions from a single telecommuter are very small. The paper also presents the first analysis of data collected from the Ecommute program. Using two-and-one-half years of data, we look at telecommuting frequency, mode choice, and emissions reductions as well as at reporting behavior and dropout rates. Finally, we use the program's emissions reductions findings to calculate how much telecommuting would be needed to reach an annual volatile organic compounds emission reduction target in each city.

This study reviews strategies related to improving the quality of graduates at SMAN 1 Semende Darat Laut. The purpose of this research is to find out the strategies for improving the quality of graduates from public senior high schools in South Sumatra and the supporting and inhibiting factors in improving the quality of graduates. In this study, the type of research used was qualitative research in which the main source of informants was the school principal. The supporting informants were the deputy heads of student affairs and teachers. The data obtained by the method of observation, interviews, and documentation. While the data analysis technique used is data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the strategy to improve the quality of public high school graduates in South Sumatra has been going quite well. This can be seen from the strategy implemented, namely an increase in teacher competence, additional learning programs, improvement of sarpas, and extracurricular development. The supporting factors include: establishing good communication between leaders and subordinates, motivation to support continuing education, teachers are all undergraduates, while the inhibiting factors are lack of funds, lack of facilities and infrastructure to support graduation programs, and lack of time in extracurricular activities

This study aims to describe the role of the principal in improving teacher performance at SDI CIII Wolomarang. The research used is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques are carried out through interviews, observations and documentation. The test of the validity of the data used in this study is a study using source triangulation. Miles and Huberman's data analysis techniques start from the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this study show that: the role used by the principal is the role of Educator, Manager, Administrator, Innovator, Motivator, Supervisor, and Leader. This role has an effect in improving teacher performance, although it is not optimal and still needs to be evaluated and the principal continues to improve teacher performance for the advancement of the quality of school education
