A Study of the Current Situation and Countermeasures of Medical English Talents Training Based on KAQ Education Mode

In order to cope with the challenge of medical English education, based on reading and researching related data in English Majors in medical colleges and analysis of the current situation of English training in medical colleges in China, this paper explores the medical English specialty cultivation mode, and provide a theoretical reference for the relevant departments to implement education reform. Through the actual investigation, a medical college is compared with other professional medical college English curriculum education system, training system and student satisfaction and opinions on the stage in order to explore the status of English medical personnel professional training. Then, it puts forward the integration methods of medical English training and advice of KAQ model. The aim is to provide theoretical basis and practical guidance for the training of medical English professionals with comprehensive development of knowledge, ability and quality

Historical Development of the Undergraduate Educational Model at BIT from the Perspective of Suzhi Education

From the perspective of suzhi education, this study analyses the historical development of the undergraduate educational model at Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT). It could be argued that BIT’s talent-cultivating system’s transformations from 1940 to 2020 echo Chinese higher education’s reform and development. This study concludes that BIT has experienced four phases: (1) from advocacy for general-specialized education’s integration to general education’s disappearance, (2) from the rectification of specialized education to the germination of suzhi and general education, (3) the flourishing of suzhi education and general education, and (4) the establishment of the Shuyuan System. The case of BIT reflects Chinese higher education’s development and the process of transforming from meritocracy to popularization. Chinese universities have changed their paradigm from emphasizing specialized education to highlighting suzhi education, as well as from focusing on training students into specialists to stressing students’ holistic development

Development Of The Internet Of Things (IoT)-Based Robot Trainer As A Learning Media In Remote Robotic Practice

Vocational education is higher education that must be in harmony with the world of work. The development of the world of work today is following the demands of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, namely the Internet of Things (IoT), big data, augmented reality, cyber security, artificial intelligence, additive manufacturing, simulation, system integration, and cloud computing. Prosser's theory says that effective vocational education can only be provided which training tasks are carried out in the same way as tools and machines in the specified workplace, so that learning carried out in vocational education must adapt to the development of industry 4.0. The research aims to establish IoT-based robotics learning media and produce valid, practical, and effective robotics trainer media. The research method used is Research and Development with a 4D development model theory. The model elaborates on defining, designing, developing, and distributing. The definition is based on the learning achievement of practicum material by the competence of robotics practice. The population in this study were students of the Engineering Faculty of Universitas Negeri Makassar. The research samples needed include a one-to-one trial consisting of 3 people, a small group trial of 5 people, and a large group trial of 19 people. The model design uses a nonequivalent quasi-experimental. The research data analysis technique uses descriptive analysis of percentages that describe the development results, validator responses, outcomes of one-to-one trials, small group trials, and large group trials. This study uses two expert validators in electronics, microcontrollers, robotics, and artificial intelligence. The results of the validity data analysis stated that the IoT-based robotics learning media had been declared feasible to be used. The results of the effectiveness of media products based on the pretest and posttest results show that the average value of students before using the media trainer is 43.8, increasing to 87.1 after using the IoT-based robotics trainer media. The research data analysis and discussion conclude that the IoT-based robotics learning media developed are declared valid/feasible, practical, and effective in its use

Core competitiveness strategic thinking in China's maternal and child healthcare hospitals: an exploratory study

In recent years, China has achieved rapid economic and social development. To keep up with the economic growth, China adopted two-child policy and started to reform the medical system. Against such backdrop, there is a huge increase in the demand for women and children's health services. However, the overall service capacity of the maternal and child care service centers in China cannot satisfy the growing demand. Therefore, it is necessary to update development strategies so as to achieve a sustainable and healthy development. Based on the resource-based view, this thesis studies the core competitiveness of the hospitals. First, we conducted three rounds of Delphi consultation with 32 hospital managers and research experts in public health from eight different institutions to finalize the evaluation index for the core competitiveness specially developed for Chinese maternal and child care service centers. In order to validate the evaluation index, we have proceeded with correlation analysis of core competitiveness with five other maternal and child care service centers of same level in China. An in-depth the case study of Shunde Maternal and Child Healthcare Hospital. and through SWOT analysis, we have proposed strategies for improving the core competitiveness of Shunde Maternal and Child Healthcare Hospital to adapt to new situations. Last but not least, through analysis of the key influencing factors of the hospital’s development in the past decade, we have proved the importance of improving the core competitiveness so as to adapt to changes of the environment. This study found that VRIO resources and capabilities, dynamic capabilities and unique hospital culture are the three key factors to ensure excellent performances for Shunde Maternal and Child Healthcare Hospital. To be more specific, hospitals should adopt specialization strategies, develop a talent team, improve management and service abilities, develop cooperative medical service system, improve abilities to treat critical and difficult diseases and establish a culture that encourages innovation and people-oriented.Nos anos mais recentes, assistiu-se na China, um acelerado desenvolvimento socioeconómico. A par disso, assistiu-se à introdução da política de “dois filhos” bem como de outras medidas públicas reformativas do sistema de saúde que estão a ser implementadas com grande sucesso. Porém, a capacidade total das maternidades e hospitais pediátricos está, no entanto, longe de ser capaz de satisfazer toda a procura nesta nova era. Consequentemente, é necessário repensar as estratégias de desenvolvimento de modo a atingir um desenvolvimento sustentado da saúde. Com base na teoria de recursos, a presente tese promoveu uma análise sobre as competências nucleares dos hospitais. Em primeiro lugar, aplicou-se o método Delphi com três fases de consulta onde intervieram 32 gestores hospitalares e peritos em saúde pública de oito diferentes instituições para a construção de um índice de avaliação de competências nucleares de centros de maternidade e de pediatria. Para validação do índice de avaliação realizaram-se análises de correlação de competências nucleares com outros cinco centros de maternidade do mesmo nível que o "Shunde Maternal and Child Healthcare Hospital". Elaborou-se um estudo de caso aprofundado do Shunde Maternal and Child Healthcare Hospital e, com base neste e na aplicação da análise SWOT foram formuladas estratégias para a melhoria das capacidades organizacionais nucleares do hospital. Por outro lado, a análise de fatores essenciais de desenvolvimento do hospital nos últimos 10 anos, este estudo demonstrou, ainda, a importância da relevação das capacidades organizacionais nucleares na adaptação do hospital às variações da envolvente global. O presente estudo permitiu concluir que os recursos e capacidades organizacionais VRIO, o domínio das capacidades dinâmicas e a cultura específica do hospital são os três fatores chave de estratégia para que os hospitais pediátricos e de maternidade possam ter um desempenho superior. As medidas mais importantes no quadro das capacidades organizacionais nucleares a reter são a estratégia de especialização, a construção do um sistema de retenção de talentos, melhoria de competências de gestão, a construção de um sistema médico integrado e o estabelecimento de uma cultura de inovação e cuidado com as mães e progénitos

Digital transformation and business model innovation : a multiple case study of retail chains in Germany

This thesis examines how the digital revolution has affected German grocery stores in particular and the country's retail sector as a whole. This study illuminates the connection between digital transformation and business model innovation in the retail industry using various qualitative research techniques, including expert interviews with Company A and Company B and a thorough literature analysis. The findings draw attention to the enabling elements, which include strong leadership commitment, successful change management, engagement with external partners, availability of resources and competencies, and a customer-centric emphasis. Legacy systems, talent shortages, poor IT infrastructure, and cultural barriers are a few of the reported difficulties. By evaluating these elements, the study offers valuable perceptions and suggestions for retail businesses seeking to negotiate the challenges and take advantage of the advantages of digital transformation and business model innovation. The study adds to the body of knowledge by providing actual data and case studies that deepen the comprehension of how business model innovation in the retail sector interacts with digital transformation. Section 1. Purpose. Artificial intelligence (AI) holds extraordinary potential for both promise and peril. Responsible AI use has the potential to help solve urgent challenges while making our world more prosperous, productive, innovative, and secure. At the same time, irresponsible use could exacerbate societal harms such as fraud, discrimination, bias, and disinformation; displace and disempower workers; stifle competition; and pose risks to national security. Harnessing AI for good and realizing its myriad benefits requires mitigating its substantial risks. This endeavor demands a society-wide effort that includes government, the private sector, academia, and civil society. My Administration places the highest urgency on governing the development and use of AI safely and responsibly, and is therefore advancing a coordinated, Federal Government-wide approach to doing so. The rapid speed at which AI capabilities are advancing compels the United States to lead in this moment for the sake of our security, economy, and society. In the end, AI reflects the principles of the people who build it, the people who use it, and the data upon which it is built. I firmly believe that the power of our ideals; the foundations of our society; and the creativity, diversity, and decency of our people are the reasons that America thrived in past eras of rapid change. Oil Rig Trainees’ Perspectives on the Influence of Drilling Simulation on Their Learning and Motivation

Low enrollment levels in vocational drilling training programs in the Arabian Gulf area have resulted in a talent gap, with little success in building and retaining national crews. With current simulation technology, it is believed that trainees\u27 learning, motivation, and achievements will increase; however, further study is needed to determine if these conclusions hold. The purpose of this basic qualitative study was to explore how using simulation technologies influences trainees\u27 learning, motivation, and perspectives about completing their education at an oil-field drilling rig’s vocational training facility. Davis’s technology acceptance model concerning user reception of information systems formed the conceptual framework. Semi structured virtual interviews were conducted with 10 purposely sampled drilling crew trainees. Data were transcribed, and manual descriptive coding was used to identify five themes that addressed the research questions. The first three themes reflected the ease and usefulness of teaching drilling application skills using the simulator technology. The other two themes applied to how using the drilling simulator motivated the trainees and made them eager to complete their studies. The study’s findings showed that drilling simulators are an effective teaching tool, creating an easy-to-operate, hands-on-the-job training environment and increasing overall competencies. Results from the study could inform drilling contractor training facilities’ leaders about the importance of increasing drilling simulation practices covering all possible drilling job activities. The use of drilling simulations could promote positive social change at the trainee level, the country’s drilling rig workforce level, and the regional level through better learning and understanding of drilling processes
