Stable image reconstruction using total variation minimization
This article presents near-optimal guarantees for accurate and robust image
recovery from under-sampled noisy measurements using total variation
minimization. In particular, we show that from O(slog(N)) nonadaptive linear
measurements, an image can be reconstructed to within the best s-term
approximation of its gradient up to a logarithmic factor, and this factor can
be removed by taking slightly more measurements. Along the way, we prove a
strengthened Sobolev inequality for functions lying in the null space of
suitably incoherent matrices.Comment: 25 page
A new block cipher algorithm that adopts the magic square of the fifth order with messages of different lengths and multi-function in GF(28)
This paper is considered as a development of encryption algorithms based on Magic Square of Order Five. Both GF(P) and GF(28) are used to encode both images and text. Where two different algorithms were used, the first using message length = 10 and the second message length = 14, and an unspecified number of rounds were added and a mask will be used in the even round will use the addition operation and in the odd round will used the multiplication operation so that the text resulting from the first round will be as input text for the next Round, and thus. The speed, complexity, NIST tests and histogram for the first ten rounds were calculated and compared with the results of the previous algorithm before the rounds were made, where the complexity in the first algorithm was = ((256)^ 15)^(r+1)× (256)^10 + or × (256)^25 and the complexity in the second algorithm = ((256)^11)^(r+1) ×(256)^14 + or × (256)^25 where r represents the number of round used
A Survey of Monte Carlo Tree Search Methods
Monte Carlo tree search (MCTS) is a recently proposed search method that combines the precision of tree search with the generality of random sampling. It has received considerable interest due to its spectacular success in the difficult problem of computer Go, but has also proved beneficial in a range of other domains. This paper is a survey of the literature to date, intended to provide a snapshot of the state of the art after the first five years of MCTS research. We outline the core algorithm's derivation, impart some structure on the many variations and enhancements that have been proposed, and summarize the results from the key game and nongame domains to which MCTS methods have been applied. A number of open research questions indicate that the field is ripe for future work
Global study of quadrupole correlation effects
We discuss the systematics of ground-state quadrupole correlations of binding
energies and mean-square charge radii for all even-even nuclei, from O16 up to
the superheavies, for which data are available. To that aim we calculate their
correlated J=0 ground state by means of the angular-momentum and
particle-number projected generator coordinate method, using the axial mass
quadrupole moment as the generator coordinate and self-consistent mean-field
states only restricted by axial, parity, and time-reversal symmetries. The
calculation is performed within the framework of a non-relativistic
self-consistent mean-field model using the same non-relativistic Skyrme
interaction SLy4 and a density-dependent pairing force to generate the
mean-field configurations and mix them. (See the paper for the rest of the
abstract).Comment: 28 pages revtex, 29 eps figures (2 of which in color), 10 tables.
