    This study examines the role of knowledge sharing (KS) and absorptive capacity (AC) on Indonesian Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) innovation performance. In addition, this study tests the role of AC in mediating the relationship between KS and innovation performance. This study used quantitative research method and data was collected using questionnaires. Samples in this study are SMEs located in Bayat District, Klaten Regency, Central Java, Indonesia which are engaged in pottery, batik and household appliances. Purposive sampling method was employed, and a total 150 samples was successfully collected. Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) was used to test the proposed hypotheses. The results of this study are as follows: (1) KS positively and significantly affects AC and innovation performance. (2) AC positively and significantly influence innovation performance. (3) Lastly, AC also successfully mediates the relationship between KS and innovation performance

    Relationship between Knowledge Sharing, Absorptive Capacity, and Innovation Capability: Empirical studies in minimarkets

    This study aims to identify the relationship between knowledge sharing, innovation capabilities, and absorptive capacity. The study was conducted on 209 employees of a minimarket, in Bandung, West Java. Sampling was done incidentally. Factor analysis produces five factors for which construct validity is acceptable. Empirically, the multiple regression results support the research hypothesis. Knowledge sharing positively and significantly affects innovation capability and absorptive capacity. Furthermore, absorptive capacity partially mediates the relationship between knowledge sharing and innovation capabilities.

    Organizational Performance and Entrepreneurial Orientation: The Intervening Role of Organizational Learning

    Many past studies have examined the association between entrepreneurial orientation (E.O.) and organizational performance (O.P.). However, these studies have not adequately addressed the mediating roles of acquisition learning (A.L.) and experiential learning (E.L.) on organizational performance. Given this gap, we have developed a new model that contains six direct relationships, three mediating relationships, and one multi-mediating relationship. The focus of the study was on Indonesian Pharmaceutical SMEs. We have collected a sample of 365 respondents non-randomly. For statistical analysis, we have used Smart PLS version 3.2. The statistical analysis includes reliability, validity, and descriptive statistics. The results confirm that acquisition learning (A.L.), experiential learning (E.L.), and entrepreneurial orientation (E.O.) promote organizational performance (O.P.). We also found that entrepreneurial orientation (E.O.) impacts acquisition learning (A.L.) and innovative performance (I.P.) but does not affect organizational performance (O.P.). However, the results suggest that acquisition learning (A.L.) and experiential learning (E.L.) are positively linked. Our results also support all the mediating relationships

    Sustainable supply chain management towards disruption and organizational ambidexterity:A data driven analysis

    Balancing sustainability and disruption of supply chains requires organizational ambidexterity. Sustainable supply chains prioritize efficiency and economies of scale and may not have sufficient redundancy to withstand disruptive events. There is a developing body of literature that attempts to reconcile these two aspects. This study gives a data-driven literature review of sustainable supply chain management trends toward ambidexterity and disruption. The critical review reveals temporal trends and geographic distribution of literature. A hybrid of data-driven analysis approach based on content and bibliometric analyses, fuzzy Delphi method, entropy weight method, and fuzzy decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory is used on 273 keywords and 22 indicators obtained based on the experts’ evaluation. The most important indicators are identified as supply chain agility, supply chain coordination, supply chain finance, supply chain flexibility, supply chain resilience, and sustainability. The regions show different tendencies compared with others. Asia and Oceania, Latin America and the Caribbean, and Africa are the regions needs improvement, while Europe and North America show distinct apprehensions on supply chain network design. The main contribution of this review is the identification of the knowledge frontier, which then leads to a discussion of prospects for future studies and practical industry implementation

    Adaptive Capacity as antecedent to Climate Change Strategy: A Systematic Literature Review

    Within the last decade research on climate change strategies and adaptive capacity emerged as the debate about climate change was intensified with the publishing of the Third Assessment Report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change in 2001. That companies are facing risks and opportunities is not new and the awareness to address these issues is growing. However, there is still need for research in the field of corporate strategic response to climate change. Recently, research focused on resilience management to address climate change. Resilience management is about being able to experience changes and remain stable getting back into the same situation before the change happen. On the contrary to resilience management adaptive capacity is about the ability to be able to adapt to uncertain and unexpected events on the long term. This includes long-term changes. This work argues that companies should think about their adaptive capacity as climate change induces short and long-term changes. Adding this dimension to the strategic planning companies need to think of how they can improve their adaptive capacity. This work investigates research in both issues adaptive capacity and climate change research and in their relation. Applying a systematic literature review this study conducted 60 references which are examined by a qualitative-quantitative analysis and answers the following questions: What is the current scientific view of adaptive capacity within strategic management literature? What are determinants of adaptive capacity? How can adaptive capacity be linked to climate change strategy and is it even antecedent to climate change strategies? The findings of this research indicate that adaptive capacity and climate change strategies exhibit a link but it cannot be proved whether adaptive capacity is antecedent. Furthermore, the term adaptive capacity is merely discussed within strategic management literature and if it is discussed and examined, several concepts and theories are applied to explain determinants of adaptive capacity. Several concepts such as dynamic capabilities, organizational learning capability, organizational learning, organizational change capacity, flexibility and more could be identified as concepts enhancing adaptive capacity. This works provides an overview of related concepts and theories

    The Impact of Psychological Empowerment of Project-Oriented Employees on Project Success: A Moderated Mediation Model

    In the current era of accelerated economic growth, project success – successful completion of the final product for which the project was initiated – is the ultimate goal of every organisation. It is essential for organisations to keep project-based employees motivated and focused on successfully accomplishing the project objectives. This research examined the association between psychological empowerment of project-based employees and project success. We explored the mediating role of knowledge sharing to explain the intervening mechanism between psychological empowerment and project success. We also tested the moderating role of employee creativity along with conditional indirect effects by performing a moderated mediation analysis. Using a time-lagged research design, multiple-source field data (N¼327) were collected from employees of project-based organisations in Pakistan. The findings of the study showed a positive association between psychological empowerment and project success and significant mediation of knowledge sharing. Project employees with high creativity are likely to achieve project success when they possess higher psychological empowerment too. Results concluded that psychological empowerment is positively associated with project success directly as well as indirectly through its impact on knowledge sharing. The study has its importance and implications for management specialists and project employees at all levels

    The Impact of Dynamic Capability on Innovation (An Applied Study on Jordanian Pharmaceutical Organizations)

    The aim of this research study is to identify the impact of dynamic capability on product innovation, supply chain innovation and organizational innovation. Data were collected using questionnaires from 188 middle and top managers in the Jordanian pharmaceutical organizations. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and structural equation model (SEM) to test the study hypotheses using AMOS 18.0. The results of the study showed that there is a significant impact for dynamic capability (technical capability, Research &development (R&D) capability and human resource capability) on innovation (product innovation, supply chain innovation and organizational innovation). These results are very likely due to the increased importance of dynamic capabilities in today's organizations. The most important recommendation is adapting new technologies and extensive employee involvement in the entire process of innovation.     Vertical alliances and innovation : A systematic review of the literature and a future research agenda

    For this paper, we conducted a systematic review of 116 articles on vertical alliances and innovation published in 35 leading journals between 2000 and 2021, and provide an integrative and in-depth evaluation of the current state of the vertical alliances and innovation literature. Through such review, this article makes three key contributions to the extant literature. First, it provides an integrative overview of vertical alliances and innovation. Second, it maps the depth and scope of the study of vertical alliances and innovation by highlighting the research methods, geographical coverage, industries, and theoretical perspectives deployed by the extant scholarship. Third, it develops a multi-level framework of the vertical alliances and innovation relationship, and discusses the findings based on research linkages between antecedents, mediators, outcomes, and moderators. This framework led us to identify key research gaps and to highlight additional theoretical approaches that may shed light on this important topic, given the growing importance of technological advancement and networks for innovation.© 2022 Published by Elsevier Ltd.
