In the past decade, ecommerce transformed the business models of many organizations. Information Technology leveled the playing field for new participants, who were capable of causing disruptive changes in every industry. Web 2.0 or Social Web further redefined ways users enlist for services. It is now easy to be influenced to make choices of services based on recommendations of friends and popularity amongst peers. This research proposes a simulation framework to investigate how actions of stakeholders at this level of complexity affect system performance as well as the dynamics that exist between different models using concepts from the fields of operations engineering, engineering management, and multi-model simulation. Viewing this complex model from a systems perspective calls for the integration of different levels of behaviors. Complex interactions exist among stakeholders, the environment and available technology. The presence of continuous and discrete behaviors coupled with stochastic and deterministic behaviors present challenges for using standalone simulation tools to simulate the business model. We propose a framework that takes into account dynamic system complexity and risk from a hybrid paradigm. The SCOR model is employed to map the business processes and it is implemented using agent based simulation and system dynamics. By combining system dynamics at the strategy level with agent based models of consumer behaviors, an accurate yet efficient representation of the business model that makes for sound basis of decision making can be achieved to maximize stakeholders\u27 utility

Social Media (SM) has turned out to be a platform for marketing as well as advertising activities. In relation to SM Advertising (SMA), the cultural influence on consumers’ behavior as well as attitude is more vital. Organizations have used up loads of money, time, and also resources on SMA. Nevertheless, it is always a challenge for the organizations to model SM advertisement in a means to effectively attract and also motivate customers into purchasing their brands. This paper proposed a novel framework to scrutinize the SMA features’ impact on Customer Purchase Intention (CPI) by means of the BWO-DANN. Initially, the questionnaires are given to the various customer and their answers are collected. Then, answers will be uploaded and are converted into numerical format into the system. Next, the CSGA-KM is utilizedfor clustering the questionnaires on the base of personal information. Then the BWO-DANN is utilized to train the converted questionnaire set. After that, the system is tested by utilizing KFCV. Finally, through the mean model, CPI is founded out. The extensive experimentation’s outcomes illustrated that the system trounced the other methodologies, and also it is best to examine the CPI

The purpose of the paper is to integrate supply base consolidation, rationalization, and buyer’s perspective about its suppliers to reveal more insight to implement sustainable procurement in small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in developing countries like India. In this paper an attempt has been made to integrate Constrained Optimization of Frobenius Norm by Genetic Algorithm (COFGA) with traditional spend, and value risk analysis to consolidate and rationalize supply base w.r.t fifteen triple bottom line indicators (TBL). This paper shows that spend analysis is justified in crisp domain and becomes myopic in limited data environment. Spend analysis becomes more ineffective to deal imprecise and vague qualitative data. Integrated approach of multiple criteria decision analysis, spend analysis, and value risk analysis, thus, an alternative approach to give better insight to sustainable procurement in fuzzy environment. Finally, a case study is discussed to use proposed method

The emergence of web 2.0 has brought new applications that have played a significant role in extending electronic commerce websites with social commerce functionality. Social commerce is a relatively new extension of B2C electronic commerce where customers purchase products and services online with the existence of social cues in the websites (such as reviews, recommendations and sharing). In this thesis, the research examines those websites which fulfil the role of a traditional eCommerce website but have also had added to them a range of social interaction features. There has been little research in the area of customer loyalty to social commerce websites. Drawing upon theories of social presence and trust (and the Delone and McLean model of information systems success) this study aims to determine what factors affect customer loyalty to social commerce websites and to develop a framework that helps in investigating those factors. In order to achieve this objective, a quantitative approach was employed. Data was collected from social commerce users in Australia through an online survey. The quantitative survey of online social commerce customers' opinions regarding the measurement items was based on a probability sample of qualified Australian customers of social commerce websites. A stratified random sampling was used with all Australian states that constitute the strata of the Australian population. The population of the study consisted of male and female customers of multiple social commerce websites who live in Australia. Nine hundred and ninety-seven surveys were collected. After screening the data, 797 surveys were ready to be analysed. An analysis was performed using a Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) technique with SmartPLS 3 software. The findings demonstrated that reputation, satisfaction, word-of-mouth, and social presence positively contribute to explaining the variance in trust. In contrast, communication, and online shopping experience did not contribute to explain the variance in trust. Examining the relevance of significant relationships between the six exogenous constructs with trust, the results showed that satisfaction, reputation, word-of-mouth, and social presence carried comparable weights in impacting trust with path coefficients that were different in magnitude. The results imply that satisfaction, reputation, word-of-mouth and social presence are important factors to predict trust rather than communication, and online shopping experience. Among the exogenous constructs as predictors of satisfaction, service quality and information quality influence satisfaction were the most significant, whereas system quality did not influence satisfaction significantly. Finally, this study found that satisfaction, trust and social presence have a significant influence on customer loyalty to a social commerce website. This study contributes to the social commerce literature through a theoretical framework that shows how the loyalty of customers can be generated in social commerce websites. In addition, it is expected that this study will help businesses to have an understanding of how to retain their customers, which will result in higher profits. From a customer perspective, this study will give customers a way to objectively evaluate whether a social commerce site provides quality products and services. Furthermore, the study will motivate businesses to improve their websites, which in turn will provide customers with better website services

An academic group and discussion forum were established on Facebook for a cohort of postgraduate students studying the concepts and principles of eLearning. The Forum had a constructivist, student-centric ethos, in which students initiated topics for discussion, while the course leader and administrator facilitated. Previous research has been conducted, involving content analysis of the topics and academic discourse, but the present study focuses on social aspects, investigating social- and study-related pursuits and determining whether synergy can exist between them. A literature review shows how social networking by students, initially social, began to overlap with academia, leading to the use of groups for academic purposes and forums for subject-related discussions. In the present study, data was triangulated and two methods of data analysis were used. Qualitative analysis was done on free-text data from students’ reflective essays to extract socially-related themes. Heuristic evaluation was conducted by expert evaluators, who investigated forum discourse in line with contemporary learning theory and who considered the social culture of participation. Findings of the qualitative analysis of students’ perceptions and results of the heuristic evaluation of forum participation confirmed each other, indicating a warm social climate and a conducive, well-facilitated environment that supported individual participation styles. It fostered inter-personal relationships between distance learners, as well as study-related relationships due to peer teaching and insights acquired from social negotiation. The environment supported student-initiative, but was moderated by facilitators. The mixed-methods research approach of evaluating students’ essays and conducting expert analysis of forum discussions showed the advent of a virtual community with a synergy between social aspects and academia. Most participants experienced a sound balance of social- and study-related benefits, but with a stronger focus on academic matters.Computin
