Further results on generalized centro-invertible matrices

This paper deals with generalized centro-invertible matrices introduced by the authors in Lebtahi et al. (Appl. Math. Lett. 38, 106-109, 2014). As a first result, we state the coordinability between the classes of involutory matrices, generalized centro-invertible matrices, and {K}-centrosymmetric matrices. Then, some characterizations of generalized centro-invertible matrices are obtained. A spectral study of generalized centro-invertible matrices is given. In addition, we prove that the sign of a generalized centro-invertible matrix is {K}-centrosymmetric and that the class of generalized centro-invertible matrices is closed under the matrix sign function. Finally, some algorithms have been developed for the construction of generalized centro-invertible matrices

Generalized inverses of a sum in rings

We give expressions for generalized inverses of 1 − ba in terms of generalized inverses of 1 − ab. The pseudo core inverse of a companion matrix

The notion of core inverse was introduced by Baksalary and Trenkler for a complex matrix of index 1. Recently, the notion of pseudo core inverse extended the notion of core inverse to an element of an arbitrary index in *-rings; meanwhile, it characterized the core-EP inverse introduced by Manjunatha Prasad and Mohana for complex matrices, in terms of three equations. Many works have been done on classical generalized inverses of companion matrices and Toeplitz matrices. In this paper, we discuss existence criteria and formulae of the pseudo core inverse of a companion matrix over a *-ring. Elements of rings with equal spectral idempotents

In this paper we define and study a generalized Drazin inverse $x^D$ for ring elements $x$, and give a characterization of elements $a, b$ for which $aa^D = bb^D$.
