    Pristup specifikaciji i generisanju proizvodnih procesa zasnovan na inženjerstvu vođenom modelima

    In this thesis, we present an approach to the production process specification and generation based on the model-driven paradigm, with the goal to increase the flexibility of factories and respond to the challenges that emerged in the era of Industry 4.0 more efficiently. To formally specify production processes and their variations in the Industry 4.0 environment, we created a novel domain-specific modeling language, whose models are machine-readable. The created language can be used to model production processes that can be independent of any production system, enabling process models to be used in different production systems, and process models used for the specific production system. To automatically transform production process models dependent on the specific production system into instructions that are to be executed by production system resources, we created an instruction generator. Also, we created generators for different manufacturing documentation, which automatically transform production process models into manufacturing documents of different types. The proposed approach, domain-specific modeling language, and software solution contribute to introducing factories into the digital transformation process. As factories must rapidly adapt to new products and their variations in the era of Industry 4.0, production must be dynamically led and instructions must be automatically sent to factory resources, depending on products that are to be created on the shop floor. The proposed approach contributes to the creation of such a dynamic environment in contemporary factories, as it allows to automatically generate instructions from process models and send them to resources for execution. Additionally, as there are numerous different products and their variations, keeping the required manufacturing documentation up to date becomes challenging, which can be done automatically by using the proposed approach and thus significantly lower process designers' time.У овој дисертацији представљен је приступ спецификацији и генерисању производних процеса заснован на инжењерству вођеном моделима, у циљу повећања флексибилности постројења у фабрикама и ефикаснијег разрешавања изазова који се појављују у ери Индустрије 4.0. За потребе формалне спецификације производних процеса и њихових варијација у амбијенту Индустрије 4.0, креиран је нови наменски језик, чије моделе рачунар може да обради на аутоматизован начин. Креирани језик има могућност моделовања производних процеса који могу бити независни од производних система и тиме употребљени у различитим постројењима или фабрикама, али и производних процеса који су специфични за одређени систем. Како би моделе производних процеса зависних од конкретног производног система било могуће на аутоматизован начин трансформисати у инструкције које ресурси производног система извршавају, креиран је генератор инструкција. Такође су креирани и генератори техничке документације, који на аутоматизован начин трансформишу моделе производних процеса у документе различитих типова. Употребом предложеног приступа, наменског језика и софтверског решења доприноси се увођењу фабрика у процес дигиталне трансформације. Како фабрике у ери Индустрије 4.0 морају брзо да се прилагоде новим производима и њиховим варијацијама, неопходно је динамички водити производњу и на аутоматизован начин слати инструкције ресурсима у фабрици, у зависности од производа који се креирају у конкретном постројењу. Тиме што је у предложеном приступу могуће из модела процеса аутоматизовано генерисати инструкције и послати их ресурсима, доприноси се креирању једног динамичког окружења у савременим фабрикама. Додатно, услед великог броја различитих производа и њихових варијација, постаје изазовно одржавати неопходну техничку документацију, што је у предложеном приступу могуће урадити на аутоматизован начин и тиме значајно уштедети време пројектаната процеса.U ovoj disertaciji predstavljen je pristup specifikaciji i generisanju proizvodnih procesa zasnovan na inženjerstvu vođenom modelima, u cilju povećanja fleksibilnosti postrojenja u fabrikama i efikasnijeg razrešavanja izazova koji se pojavljuju u eri Industrije 4.0. Za potrebe formalne specifikacije proizvodnih procesa i njihovih varijacija u ambijentu Industrije 4.0, kreiran je novi namenski jezik, čije modele računar može da obradi na automatizovan način. Kreirani jezik ima mogućnost modelovanja proizvodnih procesa koji mogu biti nezavisni od proizvodnih sistema i time upotrebljeni u različitim postrojenjima ili fabrikama, ali i proizvodnih procesa koji su specifični za određeni sistem. Kako bi modele proizvodnih procesa zavisnih od konkretnog proizvodnog sistema bilo moguće na automatizovan način transformisati u instrukcije koje resursi proizvodnog sistema izvršavaju, kreiran je generator instrukcija. Takođe su kreirani i generatori tehničke dokumentacije, koji na automatizovan način transformišu modele proizvodnih procesa u dokumente različitih tipova. Upotrebom predloženog pristupa, namenskog jezika i softverskog rešenja doprinosi se uvođenju fabrika u proces digitalne transformacije. Kako fabrike u eri Industrije 4.0 moraju brzo da se prilagode novim proizvodima i njihovim varijacijama, neophodno je dinamički voditi proizvodnju i na automatizovan način slati instrukcije resursima u fabrici, u zavisnosti od proizvoda koji se kreiraju u konkretnom postrojenju. Time što je u predloženom pristupu moguće iz modela procesa automatizovano generisati instrukcije i poslati ih resursima, doprinosi se kreiranju jednog dinamičkog okruženja u savremenim fabrikama. Dodatno, usled velikog broja različitih proizvoda i njihovih varijacija, postaje izazovno održavati neophodnu tehničku dokumentaciju, što je u predloženom pristupu moguće uraditi na automatizovan način i time značajno uštedeti vreme projektanata procesa

    Tesis inédita de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Facultad de Geografía e Historia, leída el 04-11-2022Esta tesis doctoral se centra en siete sopranos de coloratura de la Edad de Plata española: Josefina Huguet (1871-1951), María Galvany (1878-1927), María Barrientos (1884-1946), Graziella Pareto (1889-1973), Elvira de Hidalgo (1891-1980), Ángeles Ottein (1895-1981) y Mercedes Capsir (1897-1969). El objetivo principal de este estudio es baremar su repercusión en la historia de la ópera nacional e internacional a nivel musical y cultural. Se trata de siete cantantes de repercusión internacional que actuaron en los mejores escenarios de ópera —como el Teatro alla Scala de Milán, el Teatro Colón de Buenos Aires o el Metropolitan Opera House de Nueva York— como protagonistas de las óperas que representaban. Estas prima donne, hoy prácticamente en la sombra del interés académico, fueron celebridades modernas y cosmopolitas que recorrieron los circuitos operísticos de la época y se granjearon grandes fortunas y éxitos. La tesis se focaliza en tres bloques para abarcar su labor: el primer bloque se centra en la consideración de estas cantantes y en su movilidad como artistas cosmopolitas. En otras palabras, se tratan los debates existentes en torno a esta tipología vocal y al futuro del bel canto como repertorio y como estilo vocal a nivel internacional; también se trata la primacía de la diva como figura escénica a comienzos de siglo y su tránsito por diversos escenarios, haciendo uso de los estudios de caso de estas cantantes...This PhD is focused on seven coloratura sopranos of the beggining of the twentieth century, namely Josefina Huguet (1871-1951), María Galvany (1878-1927), María Barrientos (1884-1946), Graziella Pareto (1889-1973), Elvira de Hidalgo (1891-1980), Ángeles Ottein (1895-1981) y Mercedes Capsir (1897-1969).These singers achieved an international resounding success at the best opera theatres of the world such as Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Metropolitan Opera House of New York or Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires. Despite having faded into the academic oblivion, they were in the limelight as they were prima donne and performed the main characters of most of the operas they sang at that time.The PhD is structured in three sections: the fist one is focused on the ongoing debates around opera, and mainly bel canto and the role played by the coloratura sopranos in that context.     Apple, the world's leading high-tech company, was leading the smartphone revolution in artificial intelligence and Steve Jobs, Apple's CEO, had been recognised as the soul of the company, but in fact, Jobs' personal characteristics and approach had shown that this success was not very sustainable as his strengths and weaknesses could easily cancel each other out in his first stint at Apple. When Jobs began his second stint at Apple, with the addition of Tim Cook, who mitigated the impact of Jobs' flaws[1]and continued to integrate the leadership, human resource management and business operations that Jobs was not so good at, Apple ushered in an era of industry dominance.     The dynamics and control of large space structures with distributed actuation

    Future large space structures are likely to be constructed at much greater length-scales, and lower areal mass densities than has been achieved to-date. This could be enabled by ongoing developments in on-orbit manufacturing, whereby large structures are 3D-printed in space from raw feedstock materials. This thesis proposes and analyses a number of attitude control strategies which could be adopted for this next generation of ultra-lightweight, large space structures. Each of the strategies proposed makes use of distributed actuation, which is demonstrated early in the thesis to reduce structural deformations during attitude manoeuvres. All of the proposed strategies are considered to be particularly suitable for structures which are 3d-printed on-orbit, due to the relative simplicity of the actuators and ease with which the actuator placement or construction could be integrated with the on-orbit fabrication of the structure itself. The first strategy proposed is the use of distributed arrays of magnetorquer rods. First, distributed torques are shown to effectively rotate highly flexible structures. This is compared with torques applied to the centre-of-mass of the structure, which cause large surface deformations and can fail to enact a rotation. This is demonstrated using a spring-mass model of a planar structure with embedded actuators. A torque distribution algorithm is then developed to control an individually addressable array of actuators. Attitude control simulations are performed, using the array to control a large space structure, again modelled as a spring-mass system. The attitude control system is demonstrated to effectively detumble a representative 75×75m flexible structure, and perform slew manoeuvres, in the presence of both gravity-gradient torques and a realistic magnetic field model. The development of a Distributed Magnetorquer Demonstration Platform is then presented, a laboratory-scale implementation of the distributed magnetorquer array concept. The platform consists of 48 addressable magnetorquers, arranged with two perpendicular torquers at the nodes of a 5×5 grid. The control algorithms proposed previously in the thesis are implemented and tested on this hardware, demonstrating the practical feasibility of the concept. Results of experiments using a spherical air bearing and Helmholtz cage are presented, demonstrating rest-to-rest slew manoeuvres and detumbling around a single axis using the developed algorithms. The next attitude control strategy presented is the use of embedded current loops, conductive pathways which can be integrated with a spacecraft support structure and used to generate control torques through interaction with the Earth’s magnetic field. Length-scaling laws are derived by determining what fraction of a planar spacecraft’s mass would need to be allocated to the conductive current loops in order to produce a torque at least as large as the gravity gradient torque. Simulations are then performed of a flexible truss structure, modelled as a spring-mass system, for a range of structural flexibilities and a variety of current loop geometries. Simulations demonstrate rotation of the structure via the electromagnetic force on the current carrying elements, and are also used to characterise the structural deformations caused by the various current loop geometries. An attitude control simulation is then performed, demonstrating a 90◦ slew manoeuvre of a 250×250 m flexible structure through the use of three orthogonal sets of current loops embedded within the spacecraft. The final concept investigated in this thesis is a self-reconfiguring OrigamiSat, where reconfiguration of the proposed OrigamiSat is triggered by changes in the local surface optical properties of an origami structure to harness the solar radiation pressure induced acceleration. OrigamiSats are origami spacecraft with reflective panels which, when flat, operate as a conventional solar sail. Shape reconfiguration, i.e. “folding” of the origami design, allows the OrigamiSat to change operational modes, performing different functions as per mission requirements. For example, a flat OrigamiSat could be reconfigured into the shape of a parabolic reflector, before returning to the flat configuration when required to again operate as a solar sail, providing propellant-free propulsion. Shape reconfiguration or folding of OrigamiSats through the use of surface reflectivity modulation is investigated in this thesis. First, a simplified, folding facet model is used to perform a length-scaling analysis, and then a 2d multibody dynamics simulation is used to demonstrate the principle of solar radiation presure induced folding. A 3d multibody dynamics simulation is then developed and used to demonstrate shape reconfiguration for different origami folding patterns. Here, the attitude dynamics and shape reconfiguration of OrigamiSats are found to be highly coupled, and thus present a challenge from a control perspective. The problem of integrating attitude and shape control of a Miura-fold pattern OrigamiSat through the use of variable reflectivity is then investigated, and a control algorithm developed which uses surface reflectivity modulation of the OrigamiSat facets to enact shape reconfiguration and attitude manoeuvres simultaneously
