An Integrated Analysis Strategy and Mobile Agent Framework for Recommendation System in EC over Internet
[[abstract]]Internet has become a popular medium for information exchange and knowledge delivery. Many people get the useful information that they wanted from the Internet and network. Several traditional social activities have changed and evaluated to Internet, like distance learning and tele-medical system. Traditional buying and selling activities also follow the trend. Almost all things will be sold in the Internet and user will buy the product from the Internet too. However with the advent of the World Wide Web, online merchant must know what users wanted or userâs interests and let users to buy something in their site. So recommendation process became an important strategy for the merchants. In this paper we analyze usersâ behavior and their interests, and then we recommend something to these users. The analysis mechanism is based on the correlations among customer, product items, and product features. In this paper we propose an algorithm to classify users into groups and recommend product items based on these classified groups. And the system will help merchants to make suitable business decision and push personal information to customers. In the other hand we also propose a generic mobile agent framework for electronic commerce applications and collaborative agent computing architecture for the recommendation system based on the framework.[[notice]]èŁæŁćź

A modularized electronic payment system for agent-based e-commerce
With the explosive growth of the Internet, electronic-commerce (e-commerce) is an increasingly important segment of commercial activities on the web. The Secure Agent Fabrication, Evolution & Roaming (SAFER) architecture was proposed to further facilitate e-commerce using agent technology. In this paper, the electronic payment aspect of SAFER will be explored. The Secure Electronic Transaction (SET) protocol and E-Cash were selected as the bases for the electronic payment system implementation. The various modules of the payment system and how they interface with each other are shown. An extensible implementation done using JavaTM will also be elaborated. This application incorporates agent roaming functionality and the ability to conduct e-commerce transactions and carry out intelligent e-payment procedures
SOLACE: A framework for electronic negotiations
Copyright @ 2011 Walter de Gruyter GmbHMost existing frameworks for electronic negotiations today are tied to specific negotiation systems for which they were developed, preventing them from being applied to other negotiation scenarios. Thus, the evaluation of electronic negotiation systems is difficult as each one is based on a different framework. Additionally, each developer has to design a new framework for any system to be developed, leading to a âreinvention of the wheelâ. This paper presents SOLACEâa generic framework for multi-issue negotiations, which can be applied to a variety of negotiation scenarios. In contrast with other frameworks for electronic negotiations, SOLACE supports hybrid systems in which the negotiation participants can be humans, agents or a combination of the two. By recognizing the importance of strategies in negotiations and incorporating a time attribute in negotiation proposals, SOLACE enhances existing approaches and provides a foundation for the flexible electronic negotiation systems of the future
Collective states in social systems with interacting learning agents
We consider a social system of interacting heterogeneous agents with learning
abilities, a model close to Random Field Ising Models, where the random field
corresponds to the idiosyncratic willingness to pay. Given a fixed price,
agents decide repeatedly whether to buy or not a unit of a good, so as to
maximize their expected utilities. We show that the equilibrium reached by the
system depends on the nature of the information agents use to estimate their
expected utilities.Comment: 18 pages, 26 figure
Agent Based E-Market: Framework, Design, and Implementation
Attempt has been made to design and develop a complete adoptive Multi Agent System pertaining to merchant brokering stage of Customer Buying Behaviour Model with the intent of appropriate framework. Intelligent agents are autonomous entity which observe and act upon an environment. In general, they are software robots and vitally used in variety of e-Business applications. This paper focuses on the discussions on electronic markets and the adoptive role, which agents can play in information transformation for automating e-market transactions. It is proposed to develop a framework for agent-based electronic markets for buyers and sellers totally with the assistance of software agents.Agent Oriented e-Business, Agent Oriented e-Markets, Buyer/Seller Agents, Java, Multi Agent Systems
Decision Taking for Selling Thread Startup
Decision Taking is discussed in the context of the role it may play for a
selling agent in a search market, in particular for agents involved in the sale
of valuable and relatively unique items, such as a dwelling, a second hand car,
or a second hand recreational vessel.
Detailed connections are made between the architecture of decision making
processes and a sample of software technology based concepts including
instruction sequences, multi-threading, and thread algebra.
Ample attention is paid to the initialization or startup of a thread
dedicated to achieving a given objective, and to corresponding decision taking.
As an application, the selling of an item is taken as an objective to be
achieved by running a thread that was designed for that purpose
EDI and intelligent agents integration to manage food chains
Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) is a type of inter-organizational information system, which permits the automatic and structured communication of data between organizations. Although EDI is used for internal communication, its main application is in facilitating closer collaboration between organizational entities, e.g. suppliers, credit institutions, and transportation carriers. This study illustrates how agent technology can be used to solve real food supply chain inefficiencies and optimise the logistics network. For instance, we explain how agribusiness companies can use agent technology in association with EDI to collect data from retailers, group them into meaningful categories, and then perform different functions. As a result, the distribution chain can be managed more efficiently. Intelligent agents also make available timely data to inventory management resulting in reducing stocks and tied capital. Intelligent agents are adoptive to changes so they are valuable in a dynamic environment where new products or partners have entered into the supply chain. This flexibility gives agent technology a relative advantage which, for pioneer companies, can be a competitive advantage. The study concludes with recommendations and directions for further research
Psychological elements explaining the consumer's adoption and use of a website recommendation system: A theoretical framework proposal
The purpose of this paper is to understand, with an emphasis on the psychological perspective of the research problem, the consumer's adoption and use of a certain web site recommendation system as well as the main psychological outcomes involved. The approach takes the form of theoretical modelling. Findings: A conceptual model is proposed and discussed. A total of 20 research propositions are theoretically analyzed and justified. Research limitations/implications: The theoretical discussion developed here is not empirically validated. This represents an opportunity for future research. Practical implications: The ideas extracted from the discussion of the conceptual model should be a help for recommendation systems designers and web site managers, so that they may be more aware, when working with such systems, of the psychological process consumers undergo when interacting with them. In this regard, numerous practical reflections and suggestions are presented
