Chorispora tenella (PALL.) DC., Brassicaceae : a new neophytic plant species in Saxony-Anhalt

Chorispora tenella (PALL.) DC. zählt zum Verwandtschaftskreis von Raphanus (Brassicaceae). Das Hauptverbreitungsgebiet liegt in Südosteuropa. In Deutschland kommt die Art bisher nur sehr selten vor. Neuerlich wurde ein weiterer Fund auch in Sachsen-Anhalt, Saalekreis nahe Halle festgestellt.Chorispora tenella (PALL.) DC. is a species related to Raphanus (Brassicaceae). The main distribution is in south east Europe. The species is very rare in Germany. Recently it was also found in Saxony-Anhalt near to the town of Halle

Bibliographic records of botanical literature on Hesse : present state and prospects

Die Möglichkeiten zum Recherchieren von botanischer Literatur über Hessen in sieben Online-Datenbanken werden vergleichend betrachtet. Unter anderem werden Testrecherchen zu Beiträgen in den Zeitschriften Hessische Floristische Briefe und Botanik und Naturschutz in Hessen ausgewertet. Es stellt sich heraus, dass im Feld der getesteten Datenbanken die Hessische Bibliographie sowie Biological Abstracts jeweils eine besondere Stellung einnehmen; mehrere weitere, überwiegend lizenzfrei nutzbare Datenbanken liefern ebenfalls substanzielle Beiträge. Die von der Universitätsbibliothek Johann Christian Senckenberg in Frankfurt am Main aufgebaute Virtuelle Fachbibliothek Biologie (vifabio) erleichtert den Zugang zu einigen wesentlichen Ressourcen; unter anderem können Hessische Bibliographie und Biological Abstracts sowie weitere Datenbanken in vifabio mit einer einzigen Suchanfrage parallel durchsucht werden.The possibilities for researching botanical literature on Hesse were compared in seven online databases. Results of test searches for papers in the journals Hessische Floristische Briefe und Botanik und Naturschutz in Hessen, amongst others, were evaluated. It turns out that, amongst the field of tested databases, the Hessian Bibliography and Biological Abstracts place well. Several other, predominantly license-free usable databases offer similar substantial contributions. The Virtual Library of Biology (vifabio), developed by the University Library Johann Christian Senckenberg in Frankfurt am Main, enables access to several fundamental resources; in vifabio, the Hessian Bibliography and Biological Abstracts (for German academic institutions), as well as other databases, can be searched simultaneously with a single query

The flora of the historical gardens of Celle with special informations about Tulipa sylvestris

In den historischen Parkanlagen Celles wurden 31 bedeutsame wild wachsende Pflanzenarten festgestellt, die sich ohne Tulipa sylvestris auf 1.056 Wuchsorte verteilen. Die mit weitem Abstand häufigste Sippe ist Tulipa sylvestris, deren Bestand mit 8.325.000 Exemplaren das größte Vorkom-men Niedersachsens darstellt. Die zweit häufigste Art ist Corydalis solida. Es folgen Gagea pratensis und Poa bulbosa. Nur knapp 0,4 % der Pflanzen von Tulipa sylvestris kommen zur Blüte. Ein Nährstoffmangel erklärt die geringe Zahl blühender Pflanzen nicht. Wärmebegünstigte Mikroklimate fördern die Blühfreudigkeit. In sehr dichten Beständen ist der Blütenanteil besonders gering. Am blühfreudigsten sind die Tulpen in Rabatten. Offensichtlich führen auf den Rasen fehlende Bodenstörungen dazu, dass sich die Tulpen intensiv vegetativ vermehren, wodurch den Pflanzen die Kraft entzogen wird zu blühen.The historical gardens of Celle are settled by 31 significant wild flowers. Without Tulipa sylvestris they spread to 1.056 growing areas. The most frequent species is Tulipa sylvestris. There are 8.325.000 plants of this species. This ist the biggest occurence of Lower Saxony. The next fre-quent species are Corydalis solida, Gagea pratensis and Poa bulbosa. Almost 0,4 percent of the Tulipa sylvestris plants are flowering. A nutrient-deficient is not the reason why. Warm micro climates promote the flowering. Narrow stands give only little flowers. The most flowers appear in flower beds. No disturbance at lawns causes that the tulip breeds vegetatively so that the plants have not enough power to flourish

Crassula tillaea (Crassulaceae) auf Norderney : Ausbreitung und Habitate einer (noch) seltenen Art an der Nordseeküste

The Mossy Stonecrop (Crassula Tillaea, Crassulaceae), a very rare species in Germany, was found for the first time on the East Frisian Wadden Sea Island of Norderney in 2017. The massive presence of the species on Norderney is discussed in relation with the current spread of the species and the colonization of new habitats
