Un environnement formel d'assistance à la modélisation de protocoles

The use of protocol design toolkits based on UML profiles has been hampered by the lack of methodological support. Indeed, those toolkits should include an assistant based on patterns and dedicated to driving the designer step by step through a well defined methodology. Thus, the TURTLE UML profile is extended with widely accepted service and protocol-oriented patterns. These patterns are built upon UML analysis diagrams i.e. use case, interaction overview and sequence diagrams. Moreover, all these patterns and diagrams have a formal semantics. Finally, they have been implemented in TTool, the open-source toolkit supporting TURTLE. The proposed approach remains general and may be applied to various modeling languages and use-case analysis driven processes

Fermeture d’usine et prévention : ce mariage est-il possible?

Une fermeture d'usine dans un milieu urbain : l'impact d'un tel événement sur la santé des personnes mises à pied et sur leur entourage risque d'être lourd. Même si la littérature souligne l'intérêt et les bénéfices potentiels d'une intervention préventive, peu d'exemples d'intervention sont disponibles. Est-il possible d'intervenir dans ce contexte? Quels sont les obstacles? Nous rapportons ici une expérience concrète où nous avons tenté d'implanter un programme de prévention dans ce cadre précis. Nous dégageons les conditions qui limitent ou favorisent la réalisation d'un tel projet. Nous rapportons également les résultats d'un sondage réalisé auprès d'un échantillon de travailleurs de cette usine, sept mois après sa fermeture, et portant sur leur qualité de vie.A plant located in an urban setting closes its operations: the impact of such an event weighs heavily on the health of those who were laid off as well as family and friends. Even though relevant littérature underscores the value and potential benefits of preventive measures, few examples of actual prevention are available. Is prevention possible in such a context? What are the obstacles? The author reports on concrete experience whereby an attempt was made to set up a prevention program to deal with a plant closing. Outlined are the conditions that limit and promote such an undertaking. In addition, a survey among a sampling of laid-off workers was conducted seven months after the plant closed and focuses on quality of life

A support property for infinite dimensional interacting diffusion processes

The Dirichlet form associated with the intrinsic gradient on Poisson space is known to be quasi-regular on the complete metric space $\ddot\Gamma=$ $\{Z_+$-valued Radon measures on \IR^d\}. We show that under mild conditions, the set $\ddot\Gamma\setminus\Gamma$ is \e-exceptional, where $\Gamma$ is the space of locally finite configurations in \IR^d, that is, measures $\gamma\in\ddot\Gamma$ satisfying \sup_{x\in\IR^d}\gamma(\{x\})\leq 1. Thus, the associated diffusion lives on the smaller space $\Gamma$.
