Priority selection of agro-meteorological parameters for integrated plant diseases management through analytical hierarchy process
To understand the influence of agro-meteorological parameters to take decisions related to various factors in an integrated plant disease management, it becomes vital to carry out scientific studies on the factors affecting it. The different agro-meteorological parameters namely temperature, humidity, moisture, rain, phenological week, cropping season, soil type, location, precipitation, heat index, and cloud coverage have been considered for this study. Each parameter has been allocated the ranking by using a technique called analytical hierarchical process (AHP). The parameter priorities are determined by calculating the Eigenvalues. This helps to make decisions related to integrated plant disease management where the prediction of plant disease occurrence, yield prediction, irrigation requirements, and fertilization recommendations can be taken. To take these decisions which parameters are good indicators can be identified using this method. The parameters majorly contribute to plant diseases and pest management decision making while delivers minor contribution in irrigation and fertilizer management related decision making. The manual results are compared with software generated results which indicates that both the results correlate with each other. Therefore, AHP technique can be successfully implemented for prioritizing agro-meteorological parameters for integrated plant diseases management as the results for both levels are consistent (consistency ratio < 0.1)
The development of a consensus-based framework for a sustainable urban planning of the city of Riyadh
In the last few decades, there has been an increasing interest in the field of sustainable urban planning and it is in constant evolution across the world. Cities in developing countries, including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, are experiencing rapid and in many cases unsustainable growth. Since its establishment seventy years ago the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been transformed into a modern, developing country. This transformation has placed a great deal of pressure on many of the available resources, including oil and natural gas, and has introduced a number of serious issues, such as environmental degradation. Therefore, sustainable urban planning has emerged as a pressing concern that must be addressed by both governments and nongovernment authorities.
The overall aim of this thesis is to assess the urban planning of the city of Riyadh, in terms of sustainability, and to develop a comprehensive consensus-based framework for the sustainable urban planning of Riyadh. The research is carried out to answer the following main question: can the urban planning of the city of Riyadh be managed sustainably through an adapted sustainable urban planning framework? The research highlights the significance of sustainable urban planning for cities and gives an inclusive review of important issues in terms of underpinning concepts, principles and challenges. The research aims to critically evaluate the most common and established frameworks of sustainable cities.
The thesis provides a review of the existing urban fabric of the city of Riyadh and critically discusses its urban planning phases during the last few decades. This critical review is based on a proposed framework of sustainable urban planning. The proposed framework is evaluated based on the opinion of 35 experts, familiar with the local context of the city, through the use of the Delphi technique and the application of the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). Through the testing process of the proposed framework in different parts of the City of Riyadh, the results have proven the hypothesis of the research, which indicates that a comprehensive consensus-based framework for sustainable urban planning, supported by understanding the key issues of sustainability and supported by clear and comprehensive guidelines, can benefit and manage the urban planning for the City of Riyadh sustainably
Use of text-matching software in education and research: a review of select literature
The paper reviews the literature and dwells upon the reasons behind the occurrences of plagiarism. It reiterates that the anti-plagiarism software are automated programs and should be used in conjunction with human intelligence and detailed human scrutiny. The authors highlights the advantages and disadvantages of using the anti-plagiarism software and recommend that training sessions and orientation programs be organized for the students and researchers to sensitize them to the basic principle of honesty in academic and research enterprise, impacting all the stakeholders

A mixed-method triangular approach to best practices in combating plagiarism and impersonation in online bachelor’s degree programs
This study examines the phenomenon of plagiarism and impersonation in online course assignments. Technological advancements, coupled with lower costs and accessibility, have made online courses and programs a practical option for higher education students. Unfortunately, the increasing online enrollment and advancing technology have allowed an increase in the opportunity for students to commit the act of plagiarism and impersonation in online course assignments, thus potentially compromising the academic integrity of online degree programs. This study examines the various practices and approaches of plagiarism and impersonation made available to students. Utilizing the systemic review of literature, the researcher compiles a list of 20 best practices in combating plagiarism and impersonation in online course assignments. A Delphi method approach is employed, utilizing the expertise of professors who teach in fully online bachelor’s degree programs. The 20 best practices established through the literature review will be narrowed down to ten best practices via an ordinal ranking questionnaire using a two-round format. The questionnaire distribution occurs via e-mails. Researching professors that teach in fully online bachelor’s degree programs is how the researcher will obtain the e-mails. The first-round e-mail consists of the consent form and the original set of 20 best practices. In addition, a link to the Qualtrics ranking survey will be included in the e-mail. The second-round e-mail consists of the updated 15 best practices ranked from the initial e-mail and a link to the ranking survey. After completing the second round, the establishment of the ten best practices for reducing plagiarism and impersonation in online assignments will emerge. To further validate the 10 best practices, the researcher interviews 10 professors that participated in the original Delphi study. The original consent form includes a link for the participants to access if they select to participate in the interview. After verifying the professors’ intent to participate, a consent form will be obtained. The interviews will be conducted and recorded virtually through zoom. The recordings will be deleted once they are transcribed. This study potentially benefits all online degree programs by establishing the ten best practices for reducing plagiarism and impersonation in online assignments
A Framework for Evaluating the Performance of Supply Chain Risk in E-commerce
The perceived risk is found to be a barrier for e-commerce application. It has been widely demonstrated in previous studies that the e-commerce is closely related with risk assessment. Taking into account of the scope of supply chain management, the activities of e-commerce system mostly deal with information flow, rather than either product or service flows. With regard to the rapid growth of e-commerce, there is imbalance between preparation and mitigation activities. More specifically, there is no formal model which shows supply chain risk in the e-commerce system, regarded as the research gap. Hence, one way to analyze and map out complex system as potential risk is to make Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) framework. This study is conducted to develop a framework about SCRM in the e-commerce area. Taking a case study on e-commerce based company, the SCRM framework is developed incorporating 8 perceived risk model in e-commerce: such as financial, social, time, performance, physical, privacy, security, and psychological risk. The expected contribution in theory and practice is discussed
