A study of systems implementation languages for the POCCNET system
The results are presented of a study of systems implementation languages for the Payload Operations Control Center Network (POCCNET). Criteria are developed for evaluating the languages, and fifteen existing languages are evaluated on the basis of these criteria
ADF95: Tool for automatic differentiation of a FORTRAN code designed for large numbers of independent variables
ADF95 is a tool to automatically calculate numerical first derivatives for
any mathematical expression as a function of user defined independent
variables. Accuracy of derivatives is achieved within machine precision. ADF95
may be applied to any FORTRAN 77/90/95 conforming code and requires minimal
changes by the user. It provides a new derived data type that holds the value
and derivatives and applies forward differencing by overloading all FORTRAN
operators and intrinsic functions. An efficient indexing technique leads to a
reduced memory usage and a substantially increased performance gain over other
available tools with operator overloading. This gain is especially pronounced
for sparse systems with large number of independent variables. A wide class of
numerical simulations, e.g., those employing implicit solvers, can profit from
ADF95.Comment: 24 pages, 2 figures, 4 tables, accepted in Computer Physics

The preliminary SOL (Sizing and Optimization Language) reference manual
The Sizing and Optimization Language, SOL, a high-level special-purpose computer language has been developed to expedite application of numerical optimization to design problems and to make the process less error-prone. This document is a reference manual for those wishing to write SOL programs. SOL is presently available for DEC VAX/VMS systems. A SOL package is available which includes the SOL compiler and runtime library routines. An overview of SOL appears in NASA TM 100565
Scheduling Algorithm for Mission Planning and Logistics Evaluation (SAMPLE). Volume 2: Mission payloads subsystem description
The scheduling algorithm for mission planning and logistics evaluation (SAMPLE) is presented. Two major subsystems are included: The mission payloads program; and the set covering program. Formats and parameter definitions for the payload data set (payload model), feasible combination file, and traffic model are documented
An Integrated Tool for Loop Calculations: aITALC
aITALC, a new tool for automating loop calculations in high energy physics,
is described. The package creates Fortran code for two-fermion scattering
processes automatically, starting from the generation and analysis of the
Feynman graphs. We describe the modules of the tool, the intercommunication
between them and illustrate its use with three examples.Comment: 24 pages, 5 figures, 8 table
Recola2: REcursive Computation of One-Loop Amplitudes 2
We present the Fortran95 program Recola2 for the perturbative computation of
next-to-leading-order transition amplitudes in the Standard Model of particle
physics and extended Higgs sectors. New theories are implemented via model
files in the 't Hooft-Feynman gauge in the conventional formulation of quantum
field theory and in the Background-Field method. The present version includes
model files for the Two-Higgs-Doublet Model and the Higgs-Singlet Extension of
the Standard Model. We support standard renormalization schemes for the
Standard Model as well as many commonly used renormalization schemes in
extended Higgs sectors. Within these models the computation of
next-to-leading-order polarized amplitudes and squared amplitudes, optionally
summed over spin and colour, is fully automated for any process. Recola2 allows
the computation of colour- and spin-correlated leading-order squared amplitudes
that are needed in the dipole subtraction formalism. Recola2 is publicly
available for download at http://recola.hepforge.org.Comment: 48 pages, 1 figure, matches published versio
