Pregroups and pregroup grammars were introduced by Lambek in 1999 [14] as an algebraic tool for the syntactic analysis of natural lan-guages. The main focus in that paper was on certain extended pregroup grammars such as pregroups with modalities, product pregroup grammars and tupled pregroup grammars. Metafictional anaphora:A comparison of different accounts

I argue that pronominal anaphora across mixed parafictional/ metafictional discourse (e.g. In The Lord of the Rings, Frodoi goes through an immense mental struggle. I evaluate different possible solutions based on a descriptivist approach, Zalta's logic of abstract objects and Recanati's dot-object theory

A Stalnakerian Analysis of Metafictive Statements

Because Stalnaker’s common ground framework is focussed on cooperative information exchange, it is challenging to model fictional discourse. To this end, I develop an extension of Stalnaker’s analysis of assertion that adds a temporary workspace to the common ground. I argue that my framework models metafictive discourse better than competing approaches that are based on adding unofficial common grounds

Future Supply of Nature-Made Petroleum and Gas

This book deals with the availability and extractability of nature made petroleum and gas deposits. It is the result of a joint IIASA/UNITAR conference held in July 1976, and contains 57 chapters arranged in 9 sections: world perspectives on conventional petroleum, petroleum resource classification, conventional oil and gas deposits, enhanced oil recovery, gas in tight formations, gas in geopressurized reservoirs, other unconventional deposits, and technology transfer. The book discusses broad aspects of present and future supplies of nature made oil and gas, and brings out the increasing necessity of international cooperation in the field of energy resources. Through international cooperation and the development and use of advanced technology, natural energy resources may be sufficient to allow a more gradual transition to non-fossil fuels than was previously thought possible
