EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON MIMO PERFORMANCE OF MODULATED SCATTERING ANTENNA ARRAY IN INDOOR ENVIRONMENT
ABSTRACT The modulated scattering antenna array (MSAA) is composed of one normal antenna element and several modulated scattering elements (MSEs). In this report, a 2-element MSAA is used as the receiving antenna in 2 × 2 multiple input multiple output (MIMO) system. MIMO performance of MSAA with various array spacing is measured to investigate the relation between the array spacing and the MIMO performance of the MSAA experimentally in the nonline-of-sight (NLOS) indoor environment. It is found that the error vector magnitude (EVM) and the channel capacity which reflect MIMO performance can be affected by the array spacing. The measured results of the MSAA were compared with that of twodipole antenna array at the same condition
Indoor wireless communications and applications
Chapter 3 addresses challenges in radio link and system design in indoor scenarios. Given the fact that most human activities take place in indoor environments, the need for supporting ubiquitous indoor data connectivity and location/tracking service becomes even more important than in the previous decades. Specific technical challenges addressed in this section are(i), modelling complex indoor radio channels for effective antenna deployment, (ii), potential of millimeter-wave (mm-wave) radios for supporting higher data rates, and (iii), feasible indoor localisation and tracking techniques, which are summarised in three dedicated sections of this chapter

This index covers all technical items - papers, correspondence, reviews, etc. - that appeared in this periodical during the year, and items from previous years that were commented upon or corrected in this year. Departments and other items may also be covered if they have been judged to have archival value. The Author Index contains the primary entry for each item, listed under the first author\u27s name. The primary entry includes the coauthors\u27 names, the title of the paper or other item, and its location, specified by the publication abbreviation, year, month, and inclusive pagination. The Subject Index contains entries describing the item under all appropriate subject headings, plus the first author\u27s name, the publication abbreviation, month, and year, and inclusive pages. Note that the item title is found only under the primary entry in the Author Index

Measurement-based analysis of dense multipath components in a large industrial warehouse
This work presents a measurement-based polarimetric analysis of the specular- and dense multipath components (SMCs and DMC) in a large industrial warehouse. MIMO channel sounding measurements were carried out in a flower auction warehouse, and were processed with the RiMAX multipath estimation framework. In the analysis, we investigate the behavior of the SMCs and the DMC power as a function of both the polarization and the transmitter-receiver distance for 1507 distinct positions of the receiver. The cross-polar discrimination of the transmitted V and H polarizations were analyzed statistically for this environment, as well as the relative power ratio of the DMC, and the DMC reverberation time
